  1. I love all the ice creams. Loved the little plastic bowls for the machine. Perfect little size for one portion.
  2. They were still there in August and very useful. I never normally use onboard laundrettes but wanted to rinse swimwear properly. Easy to use and quick for what I wanted.
  3. Had a fab two weeks to the med.Would book again no problem. Have booked for late 2025 but as I tend to do spare of the moment cruises I am sure will do something on her before then. I think people who write negative reviews are more likely to do so rather than happy folk so results will always be skewed. Not sure either I would base a big decision based on anonymous reviewers opinions.
  4. I was on a 2 week Med cruise recently and my experience no way reflects yours so it’s just down to very subjective opinion. I would happily sail on her at the drop of a hat. I have something booked for later on in 2025 but only reason not booked earlier is because have other cruises on QV booked. Itinerary driven not ship. I could not fault the service experience , the general ambiance was Cunard through and through. I had a fabulous cabin with a huge double balcony. Never felt anywhere was crowded. Loved the outdoor spaces particularly the Panorama pool area. I don’t go to the W C events through choice but thought the venue seemed appropriate for a warm weather cruise. I am sorry QA didn’t appeal but she certainly did to me.
  5. No and that doesn’t work either because you have no way of telling how many guaranteed cabins have been booked. One day you look and there is lots of availability, next day all sold out of some grades as the guarantees have been allocated. Had this happen to me several times.
  6. Yes I looked at world wide cover for when my Nationwide finishes next month. Only had one quote from comparison site for cruise cover and was £550 for just Europe I am 65 and no health disclosures. So even with 5 x extra payments for cruise cover per annum and the increase monthly charge I will still be up on the deal so probably will stay with Nationwide and just pay the monthly charge and the extra cover as and when. 9 nights Europe next month is £23 50
  7. I enjoyed the food on Britannia last May 2023. Normally sail Cunard but thought this just as good. I only eat plain adventurous stuff mind you but nevertheless I don’t remember anything to moan about. Liked the lido grill and pizzas for lunch.
  8. On some ships and cruises the onboard sales team can get booked up. I would try and get an appointment as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. I have never been aware of extra savings/ deals being available towards the end of the trip. My happen on other lines as I have only sailed with Cunard and P&O I wouldn’t know.
  9. I can understand their surprise my mum was admitted to hospital very poorly at 96 and took no regular medication. When she was about 90 her new GP made a house call to check on her as she couldn’t believe she wasn’t taking anything.
  10. I couldn’t get a cabin I wanted as they were blocked out to a T A . Nearer to sailing they were put back into Cunard’s inventory to sell and I booked with no further issues. I suspect that has what has happened here.
  11. They only have relevance to the baggage handlers and stewards delivering the luggage so would serve no purpose to know. They refer to deck, position on deck and cabin number. They also have cruise number on.
  12. I had remembered reading what was a good size to print at and the last few times couldn’t remember where I had read it. I have made a note now thank you. Are they the wider width tags? Can’t really tell from photo. Mine are.
  13. It’s not the fact they are a main supplier, it’s the type of fare you have been sold. As you say the call was recorded so you will have some comeback if it turns out not be the case.
  14. Quite agree never had any issues and have never had any problems and like you prefer to pay nearer sailing. I see no reason to change.
  15. They must do some kind of check. You do need to check with your agent first so as to avoid disappointment.
  16. They are increasing their call centre team so I doubt this is the case. Heard plenty of T A disaster stories so will stay booking direct.
  17. Unfortunately that is not how cruising works in the main. I prefer at the start of the cruise to have anything ready for me promptly because they have been able to get everything turned round on time earlier on in the day.
  18. Glad to hear you are safely home. Have enjoyed following along with you .
  19. Mine QV QE QA QM2 But really only splitting hairs.I love them all and would happily sail on either.
  20. Thank you. I have found the one I want and will book on Monday. Still loads of availability for solo cabins.
  21. Non dancers have as much right to be on the dance floor as so called competent ones. Queen’s room is open to all.
  22. You need to remember what as small fraction of folk writing poor reviews on CC is of the total number who have sailed. 63 from the thousands who will now have been onboard is no big deal to me. As I have frequently said on here I had a fab time on her and have booked again. Issues such as sun lounger hogs exist on most main stream lines and ships. Plenty of towels enjoying the sun on QM2 last week. Have a great time when you get onboard.
  23. They didn’t have WC priority in August either on QA. I don’t think I have ever had priority disembarkation. I like a late time slot anyway so would change it if I was too early.
