  1. Rick and Jeannie, thanks for the "heads up" in regard to the Gelato location and information.
  2. Exploringtheglobe, in regard to getting the 3 pictures, even though they really were not the ones that you wanted. What is the best way to choose ONLY 3 pictures to be printed? Just checking every day to see how the pictures they day/night before turned out? Can you pick out one or two, and then maybe a day later pick out the 3rd one? Do you know how that works?
  3. It is around 4:15AM, and I just got on the computer, and FOUND you great Regal review with pictures, and look forward to see the rest. There are 8 of us planning on doing the Regal for the first time the 25th February. Not the same itinerary, but the same ship. 🙂
  4. Rick and Jeannie, I believe you were on the Regal, and we are to be on it less than 2 months. As I have never had gelato, but have heard plenty about it, can you give me an idea what deck/area this might be at?
  5. At this point, it looks like I will probably get the $80 package per day. My question if you know. I do some alcohol, but not much. In the place of the regular alcohol drinks, can I ask for the virgin instead, or does it have to be soda instead? Also, do I understand with this package there are ONLY 3 8 x 10 pictures they print, as the picture package, but we are able to pick the 3 we want printed off, correct?
  6. Thank you for your response. I'm not trying to put you on the spot, but do you have an idea when (night) this is done, once the cruise has started? As I said, it will be 23 years since I did this, and I want to post that picture of me back then, and the one that I hope to have taken this time too. I really don't care for the Champaign, just doing the tower, although I know it is much shorter than the one I did 23 years ago.
  7. Thank you ALL for your responses to my beach towel/pool question. That is good, as that will be one less item that I will have to take in my luggage, as my sons say I TAKE my whole house with me. 🙂
  8. I know most ships are different on how they handle/do some things. The last ship I was on a couple years go, we did not have to sign in for the towel, and also did not have to sign the towel back in. If you know, what is Regal Princess practice on this? Generally I take a beach towel, but since the last ship I was on furnished the towels, that was less for me to take in my luggage. I just wanted to make sure I had to take a beach towel if we have to sign in/out Regals towels.
  9. reedprincess, thank you for your response to my question also.
  10. Waynetor, thank you for your response to my question. It will be 23 years since I did this, and I'm hoping (???) to post that picture next to the one that I get on the cruise this year. Most people tell me I have not changed that much, so the picture WILL definitely tell.
  11. I had read to go to Facebook to find information on Galveston Salt Water Moms-Friends, and I never found an email address or phone number. If you can give this to me, or tell me the location other than Facebook, maybe I can find it.
  12. If you have been on the Regal Princess and seen/watched the champagne tower, did they ask for people who wanted to pour the champagne, or do we have to ask, if we want to do it?
  13. Thank you for your replies. We would be using the Hobby Airport. You mentioned to check their insurance which is a good idea, but we have insurance coverage on us as well. I will see if I can find them again. I tried looking under the name before, and couldn't seem to find what I needed. Maybe when I look again, I will find the information, or phone number to call. Just curious for those that may have use an Uber or Lift, would they be about the same price as the Galveston Saltwater Moms?
  14. For anyone that has used Galveston Saltwater Mom's within the past couple months, can you give me an idea of the cost? There are 8 of us, and I don't know how large/small their vehicles are. Just curious.
  15. This is a little different than what you mentioned, but I "started out" with a PVP, as I'm used to using an agent here in KC for booking cruises for me. I just want to say the PVP that I have (starting over 6 months ago), is STILL with me. When you have 8 people going, there is a lot of things to take care of, and any time I/we found an error, she always took care of it for us.
  16. Skynight, thank you for your response. It sounds like we will be alright with our state rooms.
  17. There are 8 of us that plan to be cruising the Regal in February. You may or may not remember, but I thought I would ask anyway. If you have had deck 14 balcony rooms 524, 528, 532, 534, did you have any issues with the room, or for the most part, was everything satisfactory?
  18. I'm glad to read the input from the different ones here that have been posting, as the Regal ship for the 8 of us in February, I think will be fine. We're not concerned about the furniture (how new/old), but as long as it does its purpose.
  19. I have not gone to Princess sight to SEE/CHECK and see if my cruise is paid for at this time, as we will be cruising in February. I did use a PVP for the 8 of us, and she has sent me ALL emails "showing" ALL the details of our cruise, as well as everything we are to get, including $25 OBC, as well showing the there is a ZERO balance. As long as I have this as proof at this time, I'm not worry about it. We went back and forth a few times, making sure ALL (some were missing the middle names) had their full names listed like on passports.
  20. Thanks for taking me along on your cruise, as the 8 of us look forward to getting AWAY from Missouri (COLD/BAD) weather in February, and doing the Regal for the first time. 🙂
  21. Although my OBC was NOT $400, I will say I was very SURPRISED when my CVP told me I had $200. I couldn't understand why. Well since I had 7 others book with me, I got $25 OBC for each of them, plus myself. Nice surprise for me that was very unexpected!
  22. I may be wrong, so maybe someone can fill me in. I was thinking the Sanctuary and the Retreat was for adults ONLY. Is the Sanctuary the one you PAY to use, and the retreat is free. If not, please explain.
  23. I just got back from Thanksgiving vacation with my family, and am "trying"to "catch up." CruiseQueen2, as you mentioned, you walk the floors with the rooms, and I have always done that on all the other cruises I have been on, and I plan to do that on the Regal in February. We are on deck 14, and I have never been up that high, but I know I will "try" to make the areas I am looking for, easier to find, by doing what you said.
  24. Xkritter, thank you for your input too. I may be old (80), but most people think I look/act much younger, and I do enjoy dressing up to the 9's, sometimes. 🙂
  25. Caribill, thank you for mentioning once again about the so called "formal nights," even though they or one of them was called dress to impress, which is fine with me too.
