  1. I believe that you are correct. They may have a general "rule" along the lines of "let it go unless/until somebody complains." Speaking of which, I've never mentioned chair hogs in my post-cruise feedback, but it might be something that those concerned will want to try. For various reasons, I seek out a chair in a quiet shaded area and those don't generally have a "hog" problem.
  2. My eDocs refer to them as "terminal arrival times."
  3. Risks if @ChiefMateJRKremoves items from a lounger in the sun to park his butt in it: a) Some crazy cruiser going ballistic b) @ChiefMateJRK's dermatologist giving him a real talkin' to One of these is great cause for concern. 🤣 It would probably be fun to watch the crazy cruiser being booted off the ship at the next port, possibly in a strait jacket or other form of restraint.
  4. Thanks for posting that. I guess the four month deadline is the same as saying any cruise that hasn't reached final payment date. I recently used my first two CN and plan to load up on my upcoming B2B.
  5. It's also much more relaxing to have the "hotel" move you from destination to destination instead of planes, trains and automobiles.
  6. Me too. I used to be apprehensive about Uber/Lyft, so a few years ago I decided to use them just to see what they were like and "get over it." I've used them almost exclusively since. I've never had a bad experience.
  7. Nice!!! Of course, we just got off the Sky at the beginning of Feb.
  8. You don't have different boarding times. You have different terminal arrival times. And, they haven't checked them for years.
  9. What did you do with the empty bottle? Are they some form of collectible?
  10. Don't the towels belong to NCL?
  11. When I checked in first, at the payment screen it had a checkbox for me to indicate that the same CC would be used for DW. I checked it and when I checked in DW it said payment info had already been completed. If I hadn't checked it, I assume that I could have input a different CC for her. I actually screen capped my latest checkin just for future reference.😎
  12. The pro-tip hack that comes up here from time to time is for all four of you to go to food republic and use only the 2 "free" meals. You can order eight menu items which is often enough for four people. 😎
  13. My recent experience indicates otherwise. Two cruises with inside cabins.
  14. How do you know that I'm not a "pretentious twit?" I may be a "frugal PT."
  15. I'm in steerage my next two cruises and I've received the nice sticky vinyl tags in the mail for both. 😎
  16. When I worked for Megacorp, occasionally out of the blue a person would be sent to some undesirable foreign country to have boots on the ground for some kind of "emergency." I didn't need a passport for personal travel and purposely didn't have one so that if that tap on the shoulder came I could just say "but I don't have a passport." I did get one a few months after retiring and have had one ever since.
  17. Wow. That's really interesting. I would never let a variety of booze "make or break" my amazing vacation. I could still have a fantastic time with only PBR (something that was greatly appreciated for those of us who lived for years on a college kid budget). I might not be happy about that minutia, but life really is too short.😎 Are you really serious about this? Lack of fancy champagne could ruin your cruise? Yikes!!
  18. Make or break the cruise? Really? I'm guessing this is hyperbole, right?
  19. Silly?? Perhaps you sir are the silly one! "Real drama?" Surely (Shirley) you jest. 🤣
  20. In the interest of completeness, did the tech support rep claim that the NCL website works well with any brand of software? 🤣 (disclaimer: I'm old enough to have lived through the dawn of the internet. Think dialup. Everything works great compared to back then.)
  21. If I were king (I'm not), I would patrol and place the "flags" once at about 9:00 each morning, then 10:00 to remove the offending hogging items. That might solve 80% of the problem.
  22. Despite what others have recently experienced, you won't really know until you arrive at the bar. Even more scary, they may have it on Monday but not the rest of the week! I suggest you drink as much of it on Monday as you can, "just in case." 😎
  23. Isn't that exactly what they're doing? Tag or flag, it goes on the unoccupied chair and comes off, along with whatever crap is on the chair, 30 minutes later. If the person comes back, they remove the "flag" and sit in the chair. I like it! Cmon' NCL, time to play copycat (often a best practice in business).😎
