Spellbound is now open for reservations! The times available in the app under dining are 5, 6:30 and 8. It appears reservations are open at least through the end of the year as I was able to book a reservation for a cruise in November. I’m so looking forward to this magical experience!!!!!

Once again I learned something new on CC today…..thank you! I’ve never thought to ask for an extra sheet but will from now on if there isn’t one on the bed.

Princess only has one type of WiFi on their ships and you can definitely stream. It’s not like other lines that offer basic or premium. One of the many things I like about Princess is the Wi-Fi allows you to stream at no extra cost.

Thanks for the update. I hope you do get an invitation once you are onboard. That would make sense that it will be like the 360 experience to start with but it is frustrating that Princess said they’d open up reservations starting on 3/19.

@Sox Fan Cruiser I think you are scheduled to sail in April and I’m wondering if you are able to see Spellbound available for booking on the app? I believe reservations were supposed to open yesterday. I looked for my cruise in November and don’t see it available for booking this far out. I’m just curious if someone who is cruising in the next month can now book it and if so if it’s listed under dining or under something else? TIA.

We’ve got one of the 4 for our 2 weeks in November. Hoping the balcony is a bit larger than the standard mini-suite balcony. It appears to be larger from the deck plan but I won’t believe it until I see it.

I haven’t sailed on the Sun yet but I’ve sailed on many of the Princess Royal class ships. I also just did my first Celebrity cruise last month in a Sunset Veranda on the Ascent. If I were in your shoes I would definitely book the Ascent! The ship is amazing and the SV is one of my favorite cabins ever. I really thought this would be my only X cruise prior to stepping foot on the ship but after sailing in a SV I’m sold on the Edge class ships. We had already booked another SV for next year before we departed the Ascent.

Even if the desserts were all yours……no judgement!!! 😜

You can hope that the elevator stops on the floor you want, but if it doesn’t you’ll need to exit the elevator and start over.

Oh my I hope they get this working on the ship. I love using the app to order a latté in the morning and my adult beverages throughout the day. I can’t remember the last time I went up to a bar on a Princess ship to order a drink.

I’ve been on Sky, Discovery and Majestic and they didn’t have a light in the bathroom. I had to plug in a night light in the shaver outlet to have a dim light in the bathroom. The Sun is the first ship I’ve heard about that has an automatic light in the bathroom.

How bright is this light? I’m hoping it’s just like a night light and not a super bright light.

Yes. It has the magnet on the back but also has a stand if you want to have it on a counter/table instead.

I hope you’ll post some of your photos of Pompeii. We went there many years ago and I was so amazed by the site. Would love to return someday but for now I’ll live vicariously through some photos.
