Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The free drinks might enter the realm of talk soon enough.
  2. As cruisers, we complain about the gratuities going up but we pay for the ultimate dining experience with the extra charge plus 18%, when in fact we already paid for the dining room with the cruise fare because we are used to all those fancy high-priced restaurants at home.
  3. Dear Diamond, Diamond plus, and Pinnacle. Please go away because the younger generation with families will pay extra for the experience without regard for cost and level of service. Thank you for your prior loyalty. Royal Carribean
  4. Here is a side story to towel animals. My wife and I were on a cruise out of Bayonne and we met our cabin attendant right away, and he seemed personable. During the week, we entered our cabin at night and the tv was on a cartoon channel and a towel animal was watching the tv from the top of the couch. Well, this made us feel so good that we had to mention it to the attendant. He thanked us for acknowledging his work. Our extra tip made sense.
  5. Jack on the rocks sometimes gets you more than one measurement.
  6. Possible leased train cars by both parties. On side note, high point of land was walking trip from hotel in Anchorage to F Street Station, where a couple of servers remember me From Northwest Airlines.
  7. Six years ago, we took the 8B tour from Fairbanks to Seward. When there try to visit Pioneer Park. At that particular time, the land portion was under a third-party contractor which had it's moments along the way to Seward. To our surprise, the questions after the trip only referred to the cruise, and not the landtrip. Info may be old and not the way it is currently
  8. When we enjoyed our Alaskan trip years ago, the land tour portion was done by a subcontractor of Royal.
  9. All of the ships that leave from Bayonne. Drive any time of the year. After 28 years in the air, no need to fly.
  10. we enjoyed the rum cruise with all the history. You travel through small islands slowly and taste the different flavors. Well worth it
  11. Please consider making your own flight arrangements. Also, think of the flight transportation as just important or more important than the cruise itself. Price is NOT the most important factor. Just look at the past few months when it comes to the airlines.
  12. If you are on a cruise with a large group and they are behaving poorly, don't count on Royal doing much about it.
  13. If your getting the food from Windjammer, would not the proper direction be DOWN to your cabin?
