  1. Hi there we did this last May. We found out the times the p and o express train tour was going and booked the same express train going. we only did it in the previous port. at the time there was definitely more than 1 express train running and it did stop at S.Pietro. We arrived just before 10 but left on a train before the p and o tour. - the tour got back to civitivecchia at 5.30 pm. On a previous visit we took the Rome on your own trip which takes away the uncertainty. It used to have 2 drop off and collection points and still gave us plenty of time in Rome.😊
  2. Re quote 7 I am also going on Saturday and my email clearly states take test within 2 days prior to sailing.
  3. They will email nearer the time with a link to what is required. currently for those calls it is a non observed home test the day before. plus Health dec. from 3 days before.- reminder email should come.
  4. Saga European annual policies do not cover Morocco as standard. We had to upgrade policy. my husband wrote to P and O at the time when we had a port call to Ceuta in May as we checked with Saga. He advised p and O that it would be helpful if they could make it clear that although enclave is shown as a Spanish call they should be advising that insurance cover has to include Morocco. It would be a really helpful thing to do. apparently it’s to do with with where you could get taken for treatment and the non Schengen status of Ceuta and the other enclave. He did get a standard reply that it would be passed on to the relevant dept.🙄
  5. Re glitch in booking it happens. Not sure what causes issue. several times have had to phone p and o re cabin I want- I know it’s available re other sites. have usually been lucky getting through.
  6. I thought in one of the other threads re quarantine cabins people were refunded if they were moved but didn’t select an upgrade. Has this now changed?

They confirmed to another American couple on another social media site that they will accept proof of an approved USA vaccination programme. you will need to show a CDC card showing you have had a full course of an FDA approved vaccine in the USA. the record cards they won’t accept are the uk ones. I would just ask your TA to email them to confirm.
  8. I believe other American travellers have been able to obtain a QR code which is accepted as long as in date when travelling.
  9. Replying to Tring and trips- we have been finding that new ones become available nearer the time on last 2 cruises so worth checking back monthly 😊
  10. Apparently Epicurean closed Britannia- cruise just ended. Appears to also be reduced options in other areas- not sure if anyone can confirm
  11. They only do it again if background not ok - happened to us last cruise but not anytime before
  12. Re Iona and customs - it may be Gib . Only time we had an issue was one time coming back off Brittania after stopping at Gib. May be random as it doesn’t happen after every cruise that stops there. took ages to get through
  13. When on board we did find out that many staff were due off on leave in June and July- not all were coming back. Not necessary down to p and o just after Covid many wanted to be closer to home. younger staff training weren’t a problem as they were eager to learn and very helpful. those coming back though would only rejoin in Late Sept or Oct so it may be timing of contracts. I will update after Ventura - as several have said other lines seem to be getting things sorted - just wonder if that is down to grade of cabin and booking fare though?
  14. Hi all we were on board Aurora 19 days May. speak to steward re towel arrangement.I.e where should you leave towels to be changed- sink or bath before morning clean. room cleaned daily. Any extra towels or bath mats later in the day could be requested if needed. They did leave a trolley in the corridor - poss by mistake. It isn’t how it used to be but that’s a bigger p and o issue and we can choose alternatives. They were also short of staff in laundry we understood. we also did see our steward elsewhere cleaning later in the day. was hoping staffing issues / levels would be sorted before Ventura in September so will update mid Sep. we are probably on our last few p and o. cruises using up cruise credit. Princess seem to have their issues resolved.🤞p and o can do the same.
  15. Definitely get it done before. I think the hard sell is getting worse and I think staff are younger. - having nails done and they are trying to sell eye cream. had massage and trying to sell another before I was finished the first. That did lead to an complaint .- just needed to relax after walking miles around Rome 🙈
  16. Re roaming charges I'm on O2 - be very careful going through straits of Gibraltar if close to Morocco. I had an £84 charge when I didn’t actually think I had used anything- argued and it was refunded but roaming can pick up Moroccan network . second time through straits and phone was off 😊
  17. Hi all just wanted to say that it still can go according to schedule . Aurora made our 19 night May cruise to all ports on itinerary and arrived and left on time. not all bad
