  1. I bought some of the luggage tag holders from Amazon so they’d be secure. I hope they get emailed. I’d rather not wait for this on the pier.
  2. When do you normally get your edocs?
  3. Thank you. I wish I had planned mine better. Got too excited in my first check in. bow I have pics that look less than stellar. 🙃
  4. I did the check in for my trip. thought I would get luggage tags after. Don’t see thrm anyone share when and where I find them?
  5. Newbie question - do you see these photos ever again? Are they used for anything other than the check in day?
  6. Just watched news story about all the people camped out looking for last minute passports, and of course, booked thier travel before making sure passport was in hand. and blaming the gov, blaming the PM. we had 2 years of most people not travelling, and now come winter/early spring half of Canada wanted to renew thier passports all at the same time for summer travel. Go figure there’s delays. No one wants to mask, and employees are out sick everywhere, and half the country is in line ups for emergency renewal. sounds like poor planning. While I agree it might be to Celebrities benefit to offer FCC for people who have to cancel (because people will blame them and trash them for not), people should have been better prepared for summer travel. I checked my passport to make sure it was good for this year before I decided to book out of country trip. If I had had to renew, I would have planned in country this summer and sent it for renewal as soon as it was a available. but personal responsibility isn’t a thing anymore. It’s always someone else’s fault.
  7. My order history says Always Included Basic Wifi 2 Device I booked solo and paid the supplement so that means I can have 2 devices connected correct? however, it seems very limited (first cruise sorry not 100% sure about this service). If I’m reading correct, I can web surf, email and text, but no streaming from web, and no pics sent over text message? But also no Facebook or Twitter? 40$ a day seems like too much for me to upgrade to the better wifi. Am I missing anything? I guess I will just download a few Netflix movies, some e books to have on my iPad already in case I have downtime… personally I feel the always included wifi a bit misleading when booking only to find out later how limited it is… small peeve I know.
  8. Hi all, first time cruiser booked to Alaska in August with Celebrity. I did not purchase the upgraded wifi. I am a Telus customer. wondering about data roaming while on board and in ports. Looking at the Telus app for my account, seems “easy roaming” feature will charge me $11 a day if I turn on my data while in the US. But it doesn’t cover cruise ship? It sounds like data will turn itself off / be unavailable while on board… is there a Telus package I can get to get me ell data on board? Am I better of buying the upgraded wifi package? I prob won’t make any calls, but would like to be able to send texts and pics through messenger, check my Facebook, read Apple news and my books… taking iPhone and wifi only ipad, and Apple Watch that shares my phone data plan. bring a first timer just curious what’s the best way to manage economically… thanks!
  9. Because I have mobility issues. Because I haven’t been there yet and haven’t what they views are where. 🙄
  10. When you get to the mountain top with the red sky glider, is there a forest tram up there? is there anything to do other than lookout and zip rider?
  11. Negative on Pablo’s. Though they do have an adult tricycle that might be an option if I can’t find a cruiser.. pic attached in case others don’t know what I mean by cruiser. Handlebars higher than seat and angle back so you ride sitting up not leaned forward. Aka old lady bike, but not just for old ladies. 🙂
  12. One of my port stops is quite long, 12 hours ish. I have a canoe trip booked that morning. Are you allowed to get off and on and off again? Say if I got wet and wanted to go back and change clothes, get lunch, and then go for another sightsee? celebtrity to alaska if that makes a difference.
  13. Hi all, wondering if anyone has rented a cruiser bike while in anchorage or done a guided bike tour along the coastal trail that had cruiser bikes as an option? really would like to bike the trail on my day there, but due to surgery, I can’t do the typical ,obtain bike where you are learned forward with weight in wrists, so I need a cruiser style that allows you to sit upright with higher handlebars. And due to bum comfort, need the wider seat that comes in cruisers… have googled but see, to only come across mountain bike style..l aprreciate any suggestions.
  14. Choose a hotel that has a computer for guest use?
  15. Yep. My cruise is in Aug and I would have liked to do the bus tour in Skagway that goes into Yukon, but I settled for the train that sadly only goes up the mountain and turns around, because even though I am done my treatment, it take a while for things to go back to normal. At least on the train I won’t have to stress about facilities.
  16. Yeah, small town northern Alberta, no photo gears stores without a 5 hour drive. I’ll continue to browse Amazon, but maybe sone of the other info will come in handy checking descriptions.
  17. So I have read celebrity does provided binoculars, but they aren’t good quality. anyone have a recommendation for a good lightweight, qood quality but reasonably priced ones for alaska?
  18. Congrats. I also am doing my first cruise ever, to Alaska, and solo, but in Aug with Celebtrity. so excited booking my excursions and my day plans and thinking about my packing plan. I am currently browsing Amazon for good binoculars!
  19. My cruise line (cel) only had tickets for gondola. Nothing about buying tram tickets for when you get to top. anyone know if you can buy mountain top tram only tix on site at ISP?
  20. I don’t have advice in specific tours, but having just finished cancer treatment myslef, I’d say you need to consider what side effects he may be having. for example, I would not have gone on a long bus tour that didn’t have a bathroom. I would stick to less physical activity, things you can do on your own time without being constrained by a group, and places where there is a bathroom.
  21. So I have booked the kenai fjords with fox island all day tour for my arrival day in Seward. land. think I’ll visit the sealife Center the next day before catching train to anchorage. I looked into the bear viewing tours flying out of anchorage. They look a,aging but a thousand bucks is a bit out of reach. so still looking for a final adventure to end of my vacation.
  22. Hello all! super excited for my first cruise and first time seeing Alaska in aug on celebrity mill. so far I have booked excursions through the ship: Ketchikan - Ancient Totem Poles and Rainforest Canoe Ride Icy Strait Point - Gondola Juneau - Mendenhall Glacier River Rafting Skagway - White Pass Scenic Railway Hubbards cruising - sadly all the small boat tours already sold out ending in Seward. I have the rest of the disembark day to do something in Seward. Then the following day I have until evening as I am booked on the evening train to Anchorage. does anyone have a specific suggestion of what to do while I am in Seward those days? I was thinking maybe a boat whale watching tour or bear watching? after arriving in anchorage late night, I have all day the next day free to plan something, as I fly out the following day in the morning. Any suggestions what to do with my free day in Anchorage? one thing I would love to do, but sadly isn’t doable now is seakayaking. Recently completed cancer treatment and still getting back into physical shape, so long or strenuous hikes or paddling not doable yet. Maybe next time! cheers! Kate
  23. My cruise has it listed as sold out. So I booked the gondola. But was hoping I might be able to get a ticket for zip line on-site. Maybe next ti e I guess!
  24. Looking for advice from other celiac cruisers. Heading to Alaska in aug on millenium for first ever cruise. A little apprehensive about eating safely. how did you find your eating experience? did you bring any food onboard with you? Is that even allowed? I’m in an ocean view so no access to blu or luminae. How did you find the dining options? Was there good variety? Did you ever feel you got glutened? what about eating in the ports? Did you find the local restaurants had options? Could you take some snacks from the boat with you into port in case you didn’t find anything? anything else important?
