  1. When you get a fresh batch right from the oil, they are better than the fries at Guy's.
  2. Certainly not as bad as Jamaica. Want your hair braided lady?
  3. Out of curiosity, which new cruise line of choice has not had any changes post Covid? Curious minds want to know about this lengthy list of none.
  4. If you're talking about renting a clamshell and paying for it using your shore credit, I believe that the loophole that had previously allowed that for a short period of time is now closed. Also, any credit you receive is 50.00 towards the first person only on your cabin reservation and if there is a second person he or she gets zero.
  5. I'll take a Connecticut Roll please. No mayo to over power the delicate 🦞. Just a nice squeeze of 🍋.
  6. 70's porn, huh? Was it the pizza delivery boy or the plumber fixing the pipes?
  7. You mentioned HAL, their largest ships are 99.5 K tons versus 180 K tons with the Excel Class. So one ship is 80% bigger and will be able to handle the seas better. But if course no ship is perfect and depending upon the time of year and where you're cruising will determine whether you have perfect smooth sailing or not. Also, HAL and teenagers don't really go together well, unless you're going somewhere like Alaska.
  8. Have you done the southern Caribbean going to the ABC's? Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao? There are 8 day sailings here with 2 sea days on the front and back end. We will be doing this itinerary on the Celebration starting on 9/9/23. The Mexican Riviera is nice. Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. If you're going to fly coast to coast, I would try to lengthen the cruise. We've done this itinerary twice, once many years ago on the Carnival Spirit for I believe 9 days and again as a 14 day B2B in 2022 on the new Discovery Princess. It was Mexican Riviera for 7 and then California Coastal for 7, visiting San Francisco, San Diego, Ensenada and Santa Barbara. I would open up the possibilities of also doing a S2S which is doing one cruise, getting off and then going on another ship, possibly on Carnival or on another line.
  9. They didn't do a cavity search, so your smuggling was successful.
  10. I'm certain you can hang on for eight seconds. Even after hitting 15.
  11. So Megan, on the first night that you consume your 15 with Cheers, will you be singing the One Margarita song?
  12. Everybody wants to touch somebody... If it takes all night....
  13. As long as there is not a stripper pole around, you should be OK.
  14. The plus package is 60 bucks. The gratuities are built in and they are 16. So if you factor out the gratuities, you're at 44 per day. If you don't buy wifi and you don't drink alcohol, then don't buy it. If you do buy wifi, that's 15 per day. Taking that off of the 44 leaves you with 29. You get two 15.00 credits at Alfredo's worth 4.00 a day over a 7 day cruise, so you then are down to 25. So you would have to spend 25 a day on soda, specialty coffees, mocktails and bottled water to make it worthwhile. Even teetotalers have said it's worth it. YMMV
  15. Just paying it forward. The fresh lemonade with Chambord goes down way too easy.
  16. No big deal. Gigi's was free. The pub could have been the Salty Dog, which I believe is only open for dinner. Our previous sailings were 7 days Mexican Riviera, 7 days California Coastal and 14 days Alaska. All of the sea days were massive waits at Gigi's/Alfredo's at lunch time and you could just walk in at dinner time
  17. How was it on sea days and embarkation day? These should be busy on either side of the pond. But if there are frugal cruisers that don't wish to pay on these days they would of course still have the options of the MDR as well as the buffet.
  18. That is the sailing after yours on 9/9 for 8 days. We'll be on her as the front end of our 15 day B2B. We also luck out and our sailing on the 9th is the first with the new MDR menus. Pro tip. The summers landing bar on the starboard side just north of the large rectangular hot tubs as well as the Pig n Anchor bar both have fresh made lemonade that is included with Cheers. It comes plain, with flavors like blackberry and also mixes well with Chambord or Kraken rum.
  19. On our four previous sailings, Gigi's/Alfredo's was sporadically used at dinnertime, but waits were over an hour at lunchtime on sea days and also busy on many port days. Now, if it's indeed empty at lunchtime on the Regal, the only explanation I would hypothesize is it's a European 10 or 12 day sailing that not many people purchased a package on. It's port intensive and not many wish to pay for a package.
