  1. Princess has their plus program which I had first hand experience with for 14 days last year on the Discovery. For an extra 40 bucks per day, you got gratuities, wifi and their drink package. It was so popular they increased the price to 50 per day and after 6-9 months decided to turn it into a two tier system at 60 and 80 per day, with the 60 being the same as the old 40 and 50. Also, the Celebrity program is not new. Had it on the Celebrity Edge back in January of 2020. Have never sailed on HAL, but I believe they have a similar program. NCL's perks do not include gratuities, their drinks package doesn't include bottled water or coffee drinks and their wifi only gives 250 minutes.
  2. There is a repo cruise on August 10 2024 from Fort Lauderdale to Brooklyn. Stops in Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Dominica, San Juan, Barbados and St.Maarten. Edit... It's on the Enchanted Princess, built in 2020 and currently in dry dock.
  3. Never saw them include gratuities even when staying in the Yacht Club.
  4. Could they chum the water with balcony smokers?
  5. If you upgrade to the next level similar to Celebrity and book Princess or Holland America, then you can get what you want. Entry level lines like Royal, Carnival, NCL or MSC don't have such packages.
  6. No, they are only included if you paid the 60.00 per day. Not included at 40 or 50.
  7. Thought we were on a NCL thread after reading this post. 😉
  8. If it wasn't for your misspent youth Deb, you might have been able to redeem it in 2049 around age 100. Happy sailings.
  9. I am aware about the increase. The 50.00 plus price was only in effect for substantially less than a year.
  10. You're gonna bust me for 50 cents? My 34.50 was based on the 50 minus 15.50, which was the post I was referring.
  11. You're teetotalers and you also don't want the espresso based coffees. Nothing else needs to be said. Plus is not for you
  12. After factoring out gratuities, it's 34.50 a day for drinks and wifi. Unless you don't use wifi and are a borderline teetotaler, it's a no brainer as far as we're concerned. We paid 40 for plus on our 14 days on the Discovery last year and our 14 on Majestic this year. Paid 60 for our 14 on Enchanted for 2024 and will again for our future Sun sailings. Even at 60, it's a great bargain for us even factoring out the wifi. 44.50 for the drinks package is a better deal than what is charged on Celebrity, Royal and Carnival.
  13. Smart move. It's your first cruise. You don't want to be stingy and deprive yourself if you opt to not get the plus package. It was an absolute bargain when they charged 40, was still a bargain at 50 and is still a better bargain at 60 than the same offerings on Celebrity, Royal, Carnival & NCL when you add up what tips, wifi and drink packages cost on those lines.
  14. The last Med cruise is a 9 day on 9/14/24. There are two different TA itineraries. The first one is 23 days starting on 9/14 or a shorter 16 day starting on 9/23. They both arrive in Fort Lauderdale on October 9. There is a five day cruise on October 14 to Amber Cove and Grand Turk and then the 7 day Eastern/Western itineraries start on October 19 with sailings into March of 2025. Bookings are supposedly opening on April 18 for Elites and April 19 for everyone else.
  15. Many cruise lines are no longer doing that post Covid. It's not 2019 anymore.
  16. No, but the piano bar on deck three is vacant during the day, is enclosed and would be a perfect place.
  17. Thought it was an April Fool's joke since the email was sent yesterday. It's impossible for everyone to show up between 100 and 130 and have everyone officially checked in and on board by 200. The only place that could happen is in Fantasyland and this isn't a Disney ship.
  18. The updated Princess Plus 60 lists a juice bar as an option as well as the new "desserts" and 2 fitness classes.
  19. The Amaretto Affagato looks like a winner. Will have it on our Enchanted repo cruise in August of 2024.
  20. There are three different videos on YouTube filmed in obstructed balconies on three different Royal Class sister ships of the Majestic. 1) Sky M114 2) Regal M109 3) Royal L123
  21. College kids will buy the drink package no matter how expense it is on a 3 day weekend cruise. I had a FCC to use up that had 225 left on it and I got an extra 100 in OBC from RCI and an extra 50 in OBC from my TA. It was a 3 day out of Miami in November and had so many bachelor and bachelorette parties...it was a joke and we hated it even though it did not cost a whole lot.
  22. Look on the port of call section of cruise critic for Roatan and then on YouTube for videos. There are multiple locations for monkeys and sloths. Excellent excursion that you can do on your own.
  23. Oasis for 7. Too many party people on the 3 day cruises and the Oasis is better than the Indy, have sailed on both.
