  1. Why are you shaking your head. It's a fact that Grand Marnier is part of the plus package and is not covered in the regular drink package like it was in the past. Just another nickel and dime procedure by NCL.
  2. I understand your point of view, but 15 versus 1 is a bit over the top and I would have to assume substantially more people would choose to cruise 15 times in an inside cabin versus 1 in a suite. Even if you never leave the ship and hang in your suite all day long and even get room service, the disparity at 15-1 is 100% incomprehensible to me.
  3. Just like how the Celebration gets her electricity with the extension cord plugged into the offices in Miami. 😉
  4. Lobster, prime rib and creme brulee vs shrimp, filet and grand Marnier souffle.
  5. That says it all...... you're like the rebellious fish on NCL. If given the choice between 15 cruises or just 1 in a suite, I will infer that more people would choose quantity over quality.
  6. All US based companies also provide life insurance, just like they all provide health insurance and they all provide a pension till the day you die. 🤔🤔🤔
  7. Didn't help too much on our recent Prima cruise. On disembarkation morning I was looking forward to something that they did not have at the buffet but was listed on the posted menu outside Hudson's, waffles. Sat down, was handed paper menus and low and behold, no waffles. Very frustrated. So basically there was nothing on the MDR breakfast menu except for grapefruit and orange segments that you couldn't get at the buffet.
  8. You obviously did not look at the YouTube video I posted regarding the MG. I compare an apple to an apple. Sailed on the MG for 28 nights, sailed on the Prima for 11 and have another 14 booked. Also have 33 booked on the Celebration in 2023 & 2024. When you only cruise on the newest ships that various lines offer, you don't have to worry about antiquated accomodations.
  9. Possibly, all I know is I read that Grand Marnier just like Bailey's was part of the Plus package and I think the upcharge with the Grand Marnier was more than a buck but I could be mistaken.
  10. Grand Marnier is only available in the Plus package.
  11. You didn't make it up. You just decided to cruise on one of the older ships in the fleet and got stuck with a rookie bartender. We were on the Prima for 11 nights from 10/31-11/10 and enjoyed too many layered shots on a daily basis at Vibe. Will enjoy them again for 14 days in February and March.
  12. Are you the same you were 35 years ago? People evolve and change and so do cruise lines. Check out the Excel Class ships on Carnival and you'll be pleasantly surprised. The Mardi Gras out of PC, the Celebration out of Miami and a year from now the Jubilee out of Galveston. I don't put all of my eggs in one basket and currently have bookings on six different lines. Check out some of the video I attached from Danny at Harr Travel, one of the best YouTubers out there with his review of the Mardi Gras. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aukVBEpaf2U
  13. What's more difficult to make....a Miami Vice or a Mini Beer? A Miami Vice is a mixture of a frozen pina colada and a frozen strawberry daiquiri, each consisting of rum, ice and mix. A Mini Beer is chilled Licor 43 with ice cream mix and ice blended on top. So, the Mini Beer is less labor intensive, it's two items blended onto a chilled liquor versus two concoctions poured together with each consisting of three blended ingredients.
  14. Then cruise on another ship in the fleet that will serve them. Enjoyed them for 11 days on the Prima in the Vibe and have enjoyed them in the Vibe previously on the Escape.
  15. We were on her for the 11 day repo cruise from Galveston to Miami. Thought that NCL has a winner on her hands for the most part. Assumed that the ship would be a game changer so we had booked a B2B for February/March before she leaves FLA. With the third ship in the class now pushed back till 2025, it'll probably be a few years till we sail on that class again. The vibe area is fantastic. The only major negative was the fact that the buffet closed too early for breakfast, 900 on port days and 930 on sea days. Most ships breakfast buffets go till 1100 or later. Hopefully that will be adjusted if people complain. The Indulge Food Hall was nice and was better as the day went on. Breakfast was grab n go, lunch was just OK and dinner had some real nice choices. Hudson's was one of the most beautiful MDR's I've had the pleasure to eat in and the lunch choices on embarkation and sea days was really good. The Improv and Syd's could be larger because seating was at a premium. The comedy shows were sold out within an hour of embarkation, so you had to use the stand by system in person or online to obtain seats. The Rumours show at Syd's was top notch.
  16. Just re-watched their video. The 6 day cruise from 11/21-11/27. Video mentions it at 8:00 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R2KtSUIq0A
  17. I will infer that you wish to wait in the Havana area until your cabin is ready about 130 instead of schlepping your luggage. Yes, you can wait in the Havana area. The bar may not be open, but you can certainly hang there until your cabin is ready.
  18. Very familiar with your posts and I will believe your opinions as opposed to someone who has previously cruised twice with Mickey and in the Haven. We cruised on the MG for four weeks this year and currently have five bookings on the Celebration. The Golden Jubilee and Latitudes seem to be an upgrade on paper compared to Brass Magnolia and the Fortune Teller and the new varieties of pizza look appealing. Will continue to read reviews on CC and check out videos on YouTube but in general we already know what to expect. Looking forward to experiencing the differences and nuisances between the Mardi Gras and the Celebration over our 33 nights that we have booked.
  19. Just like you belong in the Haven or hanging out with Mickey. Hopefully your fourth cruise will meet your expectations.
  20. Have done them 7 times over the past 30 years. Their lunch buffet has grilled to order meats on a daily basis and made to order in front of you eggs Benedict's with salmon, spinach or Canadian bacon for breakfast. Night and day compared to Carnival. As usual you get what you pay for.
  21. Have never cruised over Thanksgiving and next year we'll be on the Celebrity Beyond. Have to assume that my DH will be able to get his proper Thanksgiving dinner with the normal side dishes since Celebrity's buffet is a few notches above Carnival's.
