  1. Isn't the Crown and Anchor number, then Option 9 the best number to call for faster service?
  2. My drink package price is now $54.99, but I have to wait and call because I'm only buying one. You can't order one with a refreshment package online. I think they open at 7:00am EST?
  3. My email said EXCLUSIVE 24-HOUR ADVANCE NOTICE " Skip the line, with a link. So, I think it's the sale prices?
  4. I received the email for the advance notice for Black Friday sales. My drink package on a January cruise went up to $89 and dropped to $70 for the sale. I currently have it for $65. I love these sales.
  5. I currently can't book online due to this same issue. RCCL is looking into it. ☹️
  6. I wonder if the site is having issues again? I tried to book a cruise online and it kept saying my Crown and Anchor number didn't match the name on record.
  7. The second and third bullet points state " If you had a confirmed close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, or who is suspected of having COVID-19, within 10 days before embarkation and RCI deems you are unfit to travel, you are eligible for a refund of the cruise fare paid to RCI. • If we determine that you may have been exposed to or are likely to have been infected by COVID19 within 10 days before embarkation, we may require that you and others living with you in the same household do not travel to the departure port. This is in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Anyone effectively denied boarding in these circumstances will be entitled to a refund for the cruise fare paid to RCI." Who makes this determination to cancel your cruise and refund your money? Is it made by the person on the other end of the 800 number? You might get a more lenient customer service representative than the next person? It's great someone calls in and is honest about the contact, but you run a risk of a cancelled cruise. Personally I would call to protect others, but reading this some won't.
  8. Yes, I did this recently. I just paid the difference. Not sure about the points?
  9. I suspect a good number of Pinnacles took advantage of Diamonds in December promotions years ago and lived within driving distance of a cruise port. Some I met would have had to because the above amounts far exceeded what they made in several years of income. Some may have spent way more, but I believe many didn't. JMHO.
  10. Great advice all. Thank you ladies and gentlemen.
  11. We've also booked flights close to 11:00 and even been off he ship and at the airport early enough to catch an earlier flight. Best of luck.
  12. I have an Amex offer expiring in about a month. I need to spend $1,000 or more and received $250 back. I have my upcoming cruises paid for with drink packages. Any idea how I can spend this now for something later? As an example can you buy onboard credit for a cruise you've already booked? This way I could get the cash back while on board. Or is it possible to book any cruise now knowing I won't go on it and in a few months switch to one I will go on without penalty? I'm looking for out of the box thinking. TYIA.
  13. I was taking a few cruises here and there to add to my account. I may have gone overboard and grabbed them all. 😂
  14. We're new to Royal up. Today we received our first email for Royal Up for a December sailing. There are no suites available on any travel site including Royal Caribbean's, but on the Royal Up email it's offering bidding on every suite category. Is this normal? Are they planning ahead just in case of cancellations or could their system be behind on bookings? I was thinking of bidding, but didn't know if it would be a waste of time?
  15. I'm traveling on Serenade of the Seas next year in a suite. Is it true you receive free wifi as a suite perk? Thank you,
  16. I remember one cruise someone said they won a little over $15,000 and bought numerous postal money orders and mailed them back to himself. I believe he bought a few on each island visited. His plan was to cash a few at a time.
  17. I thought your sail date had to be within 30 days?
  18. Never bid on one, but it sounds fun to try. When is the earliest you can place a bid?
  19. I'm trying to understand if someone has COVID on a cruise. How do you know if you do with little to no symptoms? I read people get quarantined. Do they self report or go to the onboard doctor, or both?
  20. I received an email for a free 5 day cruise. If I were to book this would I have to spend much time in the casino. I suspect if I don't I wouldn't get an offer in the future? I just don't if I'm required to gamble on the free cruise? Any info is appreciated.
  21. The annual fee is $550. I've had this card since the month it was issued. It's a great card to have. There's a $300 annual travel credit which helps offset the annual fee. I've used the travel insurance and warranty program several times. You can also get cash back annually or use for travel. Many other benefits. If you have this card and use it you'll come out way ahead yearly.
