I have elite status with Hilton Hotels and I've had success several times in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area by using a free car service from the hotel. They took us shopping, to dinner, and to the port the next day. Not sure if this is an option for you, but wouldn't hurt to check around.

Although I eat Indian food about once a year or so I don't think I'd eat it on a cruise ship.

I also started a Roll Call for this cruise.

While my recent 8 day Jewel cruise was not as good as previous cruises I've come to realize it's not Royal, it's just common place. As a whole most industries are not as good as they once were. Where I live it's rare and surprising for someone or someplace to be above average. The days of going above and beyond are far between. Even people doing what they say is less common. Something as simple as being on time, not so much. Society has a new standard for par, and it's sub par in my opinion compared to what it used to be. So at least Royal is trying and changing hopefully for what it once was?

Recently off Jewel. I thought the food in all 3 specialty restaurants was very good including the breakfast each morning in Chops. The one time we ate in the Main Dining Room (MDR) the portions were small and didn't taste all that great. We ate in Windjammer for lunch several days and one dinner. In my opinion this was better than the MDR, although still not up to the standards they were pre Covid. Again, just my opinion.

We head straight for Chops and book all specialty restaurants. Next stop is pool deck for an adult beverage. Then if the room is ready we head to it. I usually can find our luggage in the hallway, so we unpack, and then explore the ship.

Recently sailed Jewel. Most crew didn't wear masks. I did see a few senior officers with masks on. Very few passengers wore masks. I think I only heard one person cough on the entire cruise. Wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. It's your cruise, your choice.

My points are there, at least most of them. Hopefully will autocorrect?

Two people on Jewel this last cruise won over $10,000 each playing slots.

I have knee issues and it took me about 7 -8 minutes to walk from the terminal to my vehicle. I was on level 2 and used the ramp when I exited. It wasn't a bad walk.

Looks like for our upcoming cruise tomorrow we're getting a Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor towel. I had called in on a different subject and when I received my email confirmation it showed "CROWN & ANCHOR TOWEL 06 JAN 2023 Guest Cabin $1.95". I didn't even realize we were valued as much. 🙂

That's what I thought, but it's not even in the order area.

I had a credit card offer so I bought myself $500 in on board credit. I did this a few weeks ago, but no credit is showing up in the area you mentioned. Do you think this will show up by day 2 or so once I board? We sail tomorrow.

Looks like this Friday were leaving out of T-6 for a Royal Caribbean cruise. I think this is normally reserved for Carnival Cruise Lines. I guess there's 5 ships leaving and space is a premium? Can anyone tell me if we park as close to T-6 as possible is it a long walk? Any idea if we can drop off our bags, then park? Thank you in advance.
