I sail multiple lines and currently have cruises booked on Carnival, Princess, Celebrity, and Holland. I was a steady NCL cruiser. I watch cruise prices religiously and can tell you that NCL has raised their prices the most of any of them and any sale they offer still leaves the cruise higher than others. Why would I pay $7300 for a 7 day NCL Hawaii cruise with FAS next year for my family when I can and did book princess for 16 days with Drink package, wifi, grats, and $400 OBC for $6500? My 12 day Europe to Iceland on Carrnival for 2023 was $3700 while similar on NCL is $10,000. Even if you ran a real sale on those NCL cruises they would still be a ripoff. NCL used to be a good value.

They only have a handful of ships here in the USA for that reason and itinerary. We are referring to other worldly destinations that require leaving from a foreign port and where the majority of their fleet are at. 90% of carnivals fleet do the same boring caribbean and Mexican itineraries. I'm booked on Carnivals 12 day European out of London in August but then again .... you have to fly to get to the better itineraries which are few on Carnival.

NCL used to have sales .... now they just have fake sales by changing wording and raising their prices right before lowering them or even just raising their prices and calling it a sail. NCL used to be a good value but now they are one of the lowest values for the money now after Covid.

No kidding .... Nobody knows your likes and dislikes or tastebuds. The restaunts are all different with different food and you'll get (and are getting) suggestions for all based on OTHERS likes.

One does not cruise Carnival for destination cruises except in a few instances. If you're taking a cruise and you're staying on the ship when is port then that's just a reflection of Carnival going to the same boring ports and someone going along for that same ride again for some unknown reason. Move to HAL, Princess, Celebrity or MSC if you want to get out of the basement destination wise.

Why would the cruise lines and travel insurance companies sell insurance if they were just going to give you a refund in any form as a reward for not purchasing it like everyone else who did?

You purchased the premium plus package?..... or the standard free at sea package that everyone gets as well as the tips which are added whether you want them or not. You don't add the tips package by choice. Specialty coffees , bottled water and fresh juice only applies to premium plus drink package, coke in both .

Does anyone know if there is place to purchase some candy, chips, or other snacks in the shops? I have two teens that like to nibble. Many ships have these offerings but some I have sailed lately gave gone away with snacks in the shops. Ice cream as well on board? Been years since I have sailed Holland. Thanks.

You can look that up yourself with Google. Point is the chances of more people being sicker goes up with an 800 count versus 8. 800 is a big issue to the lines unfortunately whether you think so or deny it.

NCL did it to me yesterday as well within an hour. I mocked booked a cruise online to check a price and within an hour they were calling from ft Lauderdale.

Making a big deal about points which have little to no value on high priced cruises is no black Friday deal.

Wonder if they will Crack down on bringing alcohol back on board from ports in Europe now ?

I beg to differ by example as far as competition. NCL Hawaii cruise for my family of four (2 kids) for 7 days next August in OV with FAS is $7300 My recently booked Hawaii cruise on Princess to Hawaii for 16 days next August with Drink package, wifi, grats for 2 and $400 OBC is $6500 ..... For a cruise more than double the length. It's less than a 15 day on Carnival too which includes nothing. NCL is a ripoff and for those that don't shop around you're doomed to over spend.

The best ..... used her on my NCL Panama Canal cruise and Dora Tours are unbeatable. I even had two kids with me. She's amazing and so is the tour.

I'm sailing her too next year but the Emerald spa looks weak and nothing like we have experienced on ships like the NCL Bliss and the cost may not be worth it on the Emerald. The looks of the spa alone are a big ...meh.

I couldn't even imagine limiting myself to carnival after 15 cruises with so many other better choices. I'll never understand why people are scared to branch out and climb higher in the tree. That's like only eating a ham sandwich at a local truck stop for every meal because it's OK and safe.
