  1. For round trip do you pay all upfront or after each way?
  2. They have Zero problem with people who have shorts on in the MDR on formal nights.
  3. Really not trying to be rude. I just think it's time to let this go. Your fighting a tide of people and it's now going in circles. I've been there myself.
  4. No. It wasn't advice. It was a comment. Call down. People are going to have shorts on. Just move on and get over it.
  5. No it varies more. For Eastern Caribbean it depends on the port stops. A St Maarten, St Thomas trip with Coco Cay as the first stop will have a different menu order then if Coco Cay is last stop. The same if the Eastern Caribbean itinerary is St Thomas and St Kitts. Note: there are 2 Eastern Caribbean itineraries St Thomas/St Maarten and St Thomas/St Kitts. Then the final factor is whether Coco Cay is day 2 or last day VS Day 2 being a sea day and Coco Cay being last day. If Coco Cay is day 2, then formal is Day 3 and Italian is day 2. If day 2 is a sea day, then it's formal and Italian is day 5 (I think, can't remember). But if sea day is or is day 2 plays a factor. Also St Maarten/St Thomas vs St Thomas/Kitts plays factor. So if you check out enough cruise compasses for your specific route vs the ones before and after it and compare you can start to Crack the code, if you will.
  6. You literally are starting to sound a little out there. People are allowed to were shorts in the MDR. Just get over it and enjoy yourself and your trip, not there's.
  7. Bottom line. If your concerning yourself with what others have on, you are missing your own vacation.
  8. It's prime real estate. I lived there the first 40 years of my life. I know exactly what the land is. Lol. Every inch of land around it is NYC views and worth a fortune. The tax alone on the land must cost a fortune. There is no place in the area that would charge anyone less than that per day. People in the town pay $2500 to $3k for a one bedroom. It is what it is.
  9. I like the fact that you stood your ground and asked to speak with someone in charge. All too often these employees need to be taught the specifics of these rules.
  10. Comeback and say that if it was the only option you could afford. After a few years or maybe 10 years without going anyplace, you might think differently.
  11. OK, everyone had to sleep on deck. You couldn't use your balcony because you couldn't use your cabin. Toilets backed up and 6 inches to a foot of toilet sewer water in cabins and halls. A balcony really didn't help anyone. Just saying.
  12. OK, yes another good point. Inside get colder faster and stay cold. No heat or sun beating down on the glass.
  13. Inside only. Can't afford the $$$. Plus get the best sleep inside. I have a balcony at home and never go out on it. It's a place to shower and sleep to me. I like going topside so I can see left right and straight up at the sky. Too boxed in with balcony on either side and over my head.
  14. Filters in ceiling of each cabin are changed out after every trip
  15. Well, these are American cruise ships in the Caribbean. It's casual.
  16. If your that afraid of falling, a cruise my not be for you.
  17. OK, now I'm worried about next month. The burgers were really that bad? Was hoping for burgers and pizza if all else stinks. Now.... I don't know???
  18. You can just let them do it at the port. Takes 10 seconds. Half of the pictures taken at home get rejected and a new one done at port anyway.
  19. People just had reviews saying they were told no compass was even printed on their trip.
  20. If you and your Aunt will be the only 2 traveling, you will basically pay the price of 2 per cabin. You may want to consider sharing one cabin. They split the bed into 2 twins. Money saved.
  21. MDR is pre plated food. Not much more than a glorified cafeteria.
  22. I wear shorts in restaurants with tablecloths in hot weather.
