  1. Exactly. I don't mind the price going up. I do mind cut backs in food and services. But food most of all. Double the price per person, but don’t go from five salad dressings to three, no bags of chips with sandwiches, no cracked black pepper in dinning room. (All very petty cut backs that ain't never gonna pay back billions in debt). But prices going up to maintain the same level of quality and service, fine, fare enough, that's life. Prices go up, not down.
  2. Split the difference. A button down isn't even necessary. A poll and khakis long or short is fine on even formal night.
  3. I get bad service, I like to have the option to return the favor with bad tips. If you don't like that, it's even better. LOL.
  4. No tip cutting for bad service recourse.
  5. Point is if you pre pay and receive bad service, you have no recourse. And remember folks. Automatic gratuities can be removed at anytime for any reason by going to guests services and requesting they be removed or by calling guest services from your cabin.
  6. Well, wait for now and see. The problems this past week may bring changes for the better by September.
  7. Another plus of having a passport at home in a drawer is that when you loose your wallet, you have another ID at home waiting for you. It also makes replacing drivers license at dmv easier.
  8. The assumption is it needs to be retooled. So may be out if commission for awhile. That can be a day or six months. Don't plan on it being available.
  9. Do you really think anything will be cheaper a year to two years from now?LOL. Think about it.
  10. Exactly. Better to not pre pay in advance. You can remove for bad service and tip cash to those who provided good service only.
  11. That's for the daily charged gratuities. NOT the pre paid. Pre paid in advance gratuities cannot be removed. "Guests onboard being charged the daily automatic tip" That's NOT the pre paid.
  12. I'm OK with raising prices. Everyone is. But don't cheap out on the food quality. And don't tell me about your money problems. If you can't afford to stay in business and recover from the pandemic loans. Shut your doors and go out of business. But they don't care about my money troubles. I don't care about there's. I paid and except certain things in return. And again, don't kid yourself about supplies from last location etc. These problems are fleetwide. Also train your chef's on land before boarding. That also is no excuse.
  13. Yes, Black Friday is as good as it will get. But even then don't expect much more then the discounts you see now. Maybe an extra $10 or $15 more.
  14. Will never not amaze me how removing automatic gratuities for bad service isn't OK. Removing automatic gratuities to tip cash to those who did you right isn't OK with many. But trying to save $2 bucks a day from $14 to $16 isn't petty. LOL.
  15. OP didn’t have problems with service. The food quality and options has nothing to do with dry dock. Don't kid yourself. It's fleetwide. I'm already lowering my expectations for Wonder in May. It may very well be my last Royal Caribbean cruise if the food is as bad as the reviews lately. It's not like you can hop in the car and drive down the road to eat. Food on a cruise is too important for the penny pinching games they are playing. It's sounding like Carnival 2005 all over again.
  16. They won't consider that urgent travel and will not grant the request. Someone has to be sick, dying, or dead and proof would need to be shown.
  17. Ah well, I don't believe in extra tips. The auto gratuities is more than enough. I'm not there to supplement Royal Caribbean's pay roll. If I remove I just give cash to those who did right by me. And that always works out better for those who earned it.
  18. With the poor quality service people have been complaining about the past few months, it's wise to keep it open as an option. And many many do.
  19. If you pre pay you cannot remove them. Otherwise, if for any reason you choose to remove gratuities for any reason, just go to guest services or call guest services from your cabin and you can have them removed. Maybe your unhappy with the service, maybe you prefer to tip in cash, maybe you just don't like tipping. Pre paying will take that option away.
  20. Someone from another site told me to buy an euro adapter which doesn't have surge protector on it. I did. They are on Amazon for like $12.99 and it has 2 USB spots as well. To be able to make the most out of the euro outlet on board. I think this actually answers your question. https://www.amazon.com/European-Adapter-TESSAN-International-Adaptor/dp/B07FJWLLDB/ref=sr_1_2?crid=MZV0E3LOD70W&keywords=euro%2Bconverters%2Band%2Badapters%2Bfor%2Btravel&qid=1681836146&sprefix=euro%2Bcon%2Caps%2C176&sr=8-2&th=1
  21. Ice tea, lemonade, water included in MDR. That would be "non premium". But with non alcoholic beverage package you can also get soda, diet soda, and juice.
  22. Like I always say in threads with shorts in the dinning room debates. It's nothing more then cafeteria food in the end.
