  1. Oh goodness - prayers for their families and the community. 🙏
  2. Interesting collection of days - I like carolers but do not participate myself (nobody needs to hear that), quote is true, yes to the meal and wine, pass on the drink, not been to the port, important day in history. PT, work and flight ✈️ today. Checked in for flight, but will check again for an upgrade. Currently 46° headed to 68° today. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  3. One step closer - checked in for my flight, but missed the opportunity to upgrade, so now I'm just on the list. Oh well, at least it's not a very long flight and maybe the Upgrade Fairy will pay me a visit 🤞 Still have some packing to do and need to check the weather one final time. The cat knows something is up - he's avoiding me 🙄
  4. Nice choice! I wonder if you'll have a different menu. Enjoy!!
  5. We've done Canada New England 3 times - 2x Oct and 1x Sept, never June. 1st Oct was last cruise we went on right before the big P (pandemic) changed our lives. We had a couple port changes due to weather, but weather in ports was good and colors were stunning. Last Oct we were exactly 1 week behind 🌀 Fiona - had some port changes, but weather was perfect while we were in port and the colors were extra stunning. This Sept I thought we'd be a bit early for peeping, but went when the ship did, lol. That was the worse weather - rainy days, canceled excursions, but no port changes. The itineraries were different for all 3 cruises - there weren't any bad ports, IMO. Very few, children on each of them. I think that's not a family itinerary like Caribbean or AK, so I didn't expect many kiddos. I prefer that area in the fall and would jump on the 14 day repo. Sounds like a great birthday!
  6. So glad you added the reference to Eurodam - those curved balconies are the ones I was thinking about. Yes, the others are bigger (as pictured in your link) but still small. I LOVE the proximity to the spa and good coffee.
  7. We were in a corner aft wrap for 13 days in Sept - the balcony was our happy place - along w/Teppanyaki and the sea day brunch in the Steakhouse. Do yourself a favor and be sure to secure a slot for that. It's complimentary for Terraza cabins and was the 2nd best food on the ship. Enjoy your cruise!
  8. The Land and Sea excursion in @canadarocks reply is the One that our group did and as I mentioned there were people that we took back to the ship that did not go to the airport with us on that excursion. There were passengers from several ships and various cruiselines on the boat with us, but of course only HAL pax on our bus. FWIW we used Ozbzc to pay even though the port is so close to the airport it's easy to do something independently.
  9. Arrive very late Wed evening, so might as well be day of. I hear they're really holding to boarding times, so I will have time to pop around Thursday morning. Any recommendations for good brunch (some I will miss lunch onboard)?
  10. Thanks - that's great news to know we'll be the only ship in port Thursday; I'm looking for less drama, for sue, lol. Glad you're here - Happy Holidays.
  11. Oops, sorry, I misunderstood your first post - I thought you were looking for the daily rate. I will be able to give you the 16 day package rate once I'm onboard.
  12. We were 13 days B2B in Sept in a Terrazza - reminder (unless it has changed) it is open to the public in the evenings, which was the only time we saw it busy. Sea day brunch for Terrazza pax, which is held in the Steakhouse, is heaven... If they'd open a kitchen out on Terrazza so you really can stay out of Gen Pop...
  13. We ate at Il Viaggio in Sept. We both commented that the fried cheese was the best we've ever had. We were B2B and had pre-booked for 1x each week; we canceled the 2nd week and added an additional Teppanyaki. So, food was good, but to us was not worth the upcharge. Pictures from our night there... Everything except the giant chicken is what we ordered - this was the table next to us. They said it was good, but a lot of chicken - easily shared. You are here... Menu, bread and starters The incredible fried cheese Mains Dessert
  14. I packed one large can of spray on (reef safe, of course) - I hope it's enough. Maybe I should go toss in another can.
  15. Hey @AryMay this has per day costs; I thought there was no discount to the daily rates, so they should be the same once onboard, but I will check. Feel free to remind me once I'm onboard🫣 https://www.hollandamerica.com/en/us/onboard-packages/cruise-ship-wifi
  16. They're really pretty small, almost like a Juliet balcony, but if you used just footrests to sit on... no kidding. The picture from the link @crystalspin provided has a very good angle w/the chairs.
  17. No problem - interesting discussion since I'm new to insides w/zero experience (other than peeking my head in my sister's inside w/a window) and now hoping I will not also be angling my head to see the TV 🫣
  18. Thank you - I'm curious to see what I will have to say, too, lol! Navigator App tells me I'm dangerously close to leaving...
  19. Although described as an airport transfer (w/excursion) 2 weeks ago on NS, we had a couple people do the land & water excursion with us. Then, instead of taking them to the airport w/the rest of us, the shuttle took them back to the ship then the rest of us went on to our airports. The tour guide made an announcement after the tour before we headed to the airport that we were making a slight, brief detour. Didn't hear any grumbling and the airport is so close to the cruise terminal, it wasn't a big delay. I recommend to ask at Shore Exc Desk since it has been done.
  20. Men... 🙄🤷‍♀️ And room service is still free Mine does that w/the trail mix I buy to take with us; had to start taking it straight from car to suitcase.🤨 That was really nice of you to think of the crew, though
  21. It was missing from our cabin in Feb, but stubbing our toes on the teak shower mat made up for it. And we had that vitamin water to drown our sorrows... It truly was awesome to be so close to the spa and Crow's Nest - I really made use of Thermalpass that cruise. Enjoy!!
  22. Ooh, good timing - I'm hungry! Since you won't be going to PG, I guess no burger for me😪 I'll have a mixed green salad w/ham & 1000 island; surprise me on the dessert, but no coconut, please😊
