  1. Ooh - so exciting!! Riveting entertainment. I am anxiously awaiting final scores 🤷‍♀️
  2. Well done, Poohby Joe, well done!! Michelle looks like such a proud PJ mama she's glowing 😁
  3. Yes but not all fares (or even itineraries) qualify for longer holds. I would encourage you to do the day hold to secure the cabin then keep trying to reach HAL as they are open weekends. Just remember they keep Pacific time hours.
  4. Last month we tendered in Sorrento on NS on a rainy morning; ship was full. We had an independent excursion and needed to be off ship as early as possible. HAL excursions did not require tickets and met in the theater, so we didn't see how many people there were. The rest of us had to get tickets at BB Kings. We were there when they announced ship had been cleared and were in the 2nd group called to board tenders, which got us on land about 30 min after port time. Every cruise is different subject to capacity, weather, port of call, ship excursions, etc, so hard to predict how quickly you could be off. Yes, everyone just lines up for last tender.
  5. I've been told it's used for basic things such as shuttle coordination if purchased through them (I know that's true as I've seen an agent look through a list of flights and pax names) to helping with passport control forms (verifying where pax most immediately come from - no idea if that's true) to contact tracing for disease control and other such detailed things. 🤷‍♀️
  6. @FlaMariner @Banditswife HAL always provides this type of invoice to your TA - it has a lot of info that you should confirm and as you can see from @Mary229 copy, also had your dining selection. TA should be sending it to you - every time I make a change (add SOBC, AARP OBC, change dining, etc), I request HAL send one then follow up w/a request to my TA to send it to me. Bedding config is done at time of booking, but can always be updated.
  7. Happy to hear the bread pudding met Institute standards; we quite enjoyed it via room service each morning w/pre breakfast coffee 🤭 The large chocolate croissant is what Grand Dutch Cafe serves; they also have a strawberry (red "ribbon") and 1 that remains a mystery to me (the "ribbon" is natural color so it blends w/the croissant - think it's maybe vanilla, but didn't ask). The chocolate is indeed very different in those large ones, but they're pretty 😉
  8. Sorry to read your trip is not getting better. I hope the shipboard experience becomes awesome.
  9. And a bargain - recent cruise on NS, 2 scoops (smallest they would do) cost me $2.36 and $2.60. No idea why the difference, but for $2.50ish, I thought gelato was a tasty bargain. Oh, I'm talking straight up gelato, not the shakes, oops.🫣
  10. Hope this is temporary while they continue to get the new site functional. I still can't get in, so I'm really in the dark. Both "favorites" and "recently viewed" are big helpers for me.
  11. Thanks for doing this - I know it will be fun and informative. Happy Holidays 🎄🍾
  12. I like the days - chocolate makes everything better 😌 Agree w/Ms Angelou's quote; maybe on the meal; would try the drink and wine; never been to the port; 2 important days in history. 41° headed to sunny 61° with a rainy 68° predicted for Travel Thursday. Work, cruise shopping and packing on today’s agenda. I got the MRI last night the surgeon ordered for my other shoulder. The place was packed - who knew imaging is what everyone does for Friday Date Night?! They're open until 9 so I guess lots of people are going after work and trying to get medical things done at year end since deductibles have been met. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  13. Did Michelle try the bread pudding from the CO breakfast menu? It came w/pomegranate seeds, which we removed.
  14. You don't get it with the HIA package (or at least I never have). I believe you get it with the soda package.
  15. Tonight let's go w/a lemon drop (maybe 2), apple pear cucumber salad w/basalmic vinaigrette, roasted chicken add green beans, lava cake and cappuccino. Thanks - I'll be over here drooling into my napkin 😏
  16. That's stunning given your cruise history. I cannot remember one when I didn't get one.
  17. Hey @Jilliebean28 there is no discount to pre-pay, so nothing lost if you do it onboard. And you can then use OBC. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  18. Right - so the printed version you receive in the venue and the one provided for your entertainment pleasure (TV) are not aligned.🤔🫣
  19. Cannot say I have seen a thong on HAL, but full disclosure, I do not spend large blocks of time at the pool or hot tub (just pass through, although frequently); my pool time is in the thermalpool. DH puts in a lot of poolside time (all at the deck 9 Seaview Pool as he's a smoker); reports he has not ever seen a thong. I say, do what makes you happy - it's your cruise.🧜‍♀️
  20. Congrats on securing a GREAT deal on a terrific location - aft cabins are the best! Enjoy your cruise - safe travels!
