  1. Long time ago, still an interesting video.
  2. I really enjoyed anthem on a December sailing from cape liberty. As I understand it the paint issue is an Alaskan regulations thing, they aren't allowed to paint the hull in those waters or some such- normally this upkeep is done during normal docking and doesn't require drydock.
  3. Unless you're star class which GS is not, seating is in a designated area. You can pick up more water pretty much any time in the suite lounge, I believe.
  4. Guessing this will be more of an issue for pinnies matching to X and crowding the retreat lounge than the other way around, last I heard there was < 1k zeniths. No idea how many are on RCL, but guessing at least 5x that.
  5. You can see the ships from LSP along the waterfront, I've gone down there on my bike before and seen anthem. That said it's fairly far away.
  6. Haven't done that class post-pandemic, however never saw anything like that. If they stepped it up to be like the royal suite program on quantum/oasis/icon we might consider sailing those ships again....
  7. That's crazy (although celebration table makes sense since it's essentially a corporate/private rental space not a food venue per say). Weird that you can get izumi but the takeout version is different for some reason?
  8. Does star class get everything except ESC?
  9. Jersey boys was on NCL. Anthem seems to have had a tribute act starting the original West end Frankie, not really the same thing as the show.
  10. Closest you'll find to a skip the line pass is star class if you can afford it. Can't comment much on the rest except for that show reservations aren't fully required as they let the standby line in close to showtime and it's rare to not find space.
  11. Literally anything that is an actual show outside of the cruise industry except Cats. All of their in-house stuff as well as celebrity's is mediocre at best (same production company/writing/etc, presumably) and I hate the usage of 4 singers + 8-10 dancers instead of maybe 10-12 people that can sing AND dance. The band and vocal backing tracks are atrocious and annoying. Not a huge fan of WWRY but I felt it was far better than any of the new edge class production shows due to a fully live band as far as I could tell and a full cast that can sing and dance. 45 minutes is not enough for an evening show, if it were up to me they would return the full 2-act shows instead of the cheap feeling 90 minute vegas cuts. We're tring NCL next year due to the fact they have beetlejuice on the Viva - 90 minutes I am sure but I bet it will be 1000% better than any production show I've seen on RCL/X in recent memory save mamma mia perhaps.
  12. Is this dog just like a crew members pet or something? They call him crew but don't specify what he'll be doing onboard
  13. Need to know exactly what room you're talking about, but regardless it's likely not possible outside of a rollaway
  14. Sounds like others have addressed 1 & 2 - to point 3, yes and it's WAY cheaper to add them to your room than it is to book separately and then factor in drinks/dining and lack of ability for the genie to do anything for them.
  15. RCL's antiquated booking system only can handle 4 people per reservation so this is how they do it. Incredibly annoying as it just complicates everything but I guess there aren't enough people booking 5+ per room for them to fix it.
  16. Add royal suite class to the rest of the fleet including older ships. It's a really hard sell to do a royal suite on anything but quantum or oasis (or icon I guess now) class as the lack of benefits is just really offputting.
  17. For the trip my family has booked we found pricing for star class to be relatively similar to icon. Excited to see if/how they improve the icon design for v2. Still annoying that it's 2 years away!
  18. Gonna be on the next voyage - how's CK? And what does the age demographics look like onboard, more young adults / families/ older folks?
  19. They will not assign points based on anything other than who is actually on paper supposed to be in the rooms. Guest services only hands out additional keys, they don't change or adjust c&a accruals
  20. Rumor has it that it's simply a scheduled rebuild of 1/4 engines that should be complete by December sailings. Still 3 main engines operational, nothing that reduces seaworthiness.
  21. Based on what I am seeing for cococay availability I think the 3rd. Dec voyage will have to remove PC, not nassau. Fingers crossed! Good thing they are making sure we get to CC for their revenue capture lol
  22. Good luck on the crowds, ships are sailing full and that doesn't seem to be changing any time soon
  23. Interesting, I assumed their existing relationship re: cats and a lot of features in their production shows this would be a no-brainer. I really wish they would stick with good existing shows, I haven't been a huge fan of what RCL or X comes up with on their own.
