  1. That is not our experience. On our last two cruises, we had a "insert" for a free bag, and an "insert" for $29. Who do you think provides those "inserts". Clue: it's not your bartender.
  2. Sorry Bird, but that is incorrect. Free is free, laundry couldn't care less. If it has a free tag, it goes to accounting. It's free.
  3. I apologize. For some reason I can't explain, I thought you were a solo, which would only get you 3. My bad.
  4. Are you just being your fun self? I guess I should have said the "free" tags can be given to you by your room steward. They don't come from the Corporate Assistant Laundry Manager. 😎
  5. One hour and 10 minutes, you'll be one of the first in line. One hour, and you'll be around the corner. It is what it is.
  6. No problem. Happens all the time. Sometimes it's hard to keep track.
  7. Your reading comprehension is a bit suspect. I was quoting the person who has a cruise in two weeks. Please try again.
  8. That's some seriously good advice right there.
  9. Who do you think brings you the bags? I don't think it's the laundry guy. 😄 If they can, they will.
  10. I'm guessing that happens with every thread. What's your point?
  11. You might want to do that anyway for the specialty dining benefit. We get 3 on a 21-day cruise. You would get 4 on two 10-day cruises.
  12. Do you have any idea what those port tenders cost? I think you would be shocked.
  13. Yeah, I think Kinky said "our way or the highway" and NCL said, "here's your car".
  14. I'm pretty sure if you're both Platinum in a Club Balcony on a long cruise, your room steward will get you all the free laundry you want -- within reason, of course.
  15. From what I recall, it's one bag each week for a Club Balcony, so, while the details are wrong, the end number is correct.
  16. Heh. That's just hilarious to a guy who looks forward to sea days. 😆 A trans-Atlantic is definitely not for you.
  17. Don't be discouraged. There are a number of things that should have been done differently. But we sailed her and had a fantastic time, regardless. You make a positive cruise, or you make a negative cruise. It's really up to you.
  18. Most people ONLY use the dining package to eat at Cagney's. Otherwise, save your money for Peter Luger.
  19. kj, do all agents have access to availability information? Seems like an inside track to bidding for an upgrade.
  20. luv2, I always appreciate your posts, but let's be fair. It's not just NCL. Perhaps you've forgotten that Royal has overbooked FIVE cruises in the last 6 months? Some just weeks (or less) from sailing? Imagine that clusterf**k. We should never be a cheerleader for any cruise line -- but neither should we be a hater.
  21. I'm not sure it's worth THAT much money.
  22. No surprise with your experience in a cold weather climate on Prima. We cruised the Caribbean on Prima and didn't care for it. Don't say "one and done". That's just silly. Try the Encore anywhere, preferably a shoulder season for the region with the kids in school. Amazing experience.
  23. We've never done a TA or TP, but want to. I think it's really an entirely different breed of cat. This is a good place to start, but there are also some great YouTube videos on this subject that give the good, bad, and ugly. Good luck researching, we're doing the same.
