  1. You likely got beaten out by 125-dayers. As www said, try again when you're aboard, or just show up when you want and see what the wait is like. Don't sweat it.
  2. I'm with you. NCL gets our bags off the ship, we give them the airline at the airport. I'm not getting another third party involved.
  3. Go down to the Social. The list of all the Beatles shows will be on the form you fill out for booking other shows.
  4. As you say. Who are we to question their decision? However, they have 16 days to find ways to get away from the group. Choosing the buffet on embarkation day would not seem to be the most logical option for that goal.
  5. These responses seem to be all over the place, so I'll throw mine out there: We got cold-called about 2 weeks ago by a PCC after re-pricing a cruise with a CSS. I guess she saw caught our history and future cruises, and that we didn't have a PCC. She's 6-years with NCL; very helpful, knowledgeable, and informative. Since she called, I asked if she could apply a FCC we just received for the Spirit cancellations. She had no problem with it, took care of it, no problem. I asked whether she's getting credit for helping me with future cruises booked through the website, and she said I was now hers forever (or as long as she's with NCL, I suppose) and anything I do, whether on the website or through her, will be hers. Take that as you will.
  6. I'm not a beach guy. You'll find me at the Tiki bar. But I do know that Mrs. RB rarely goes in the water when she goes to the beach. I guess I don't know why.
  7. Do you cruise basically for the beaches? If so, have you tried Bermuda? If not, New England/Canada is a great cruise out of New York.
  8. Wonderful, thank you. Now I can quit checking the website every 4-6 hours. 🙃
  9. I understand "need to". My question is "can I"? Are the other shows going to be able to be booked in advance, or am I done?
  10. Able to book Spectra only for August 4 Ovation. Is that going to be it for the Ovation?
  11. A bit graphic. In my case, I know what part of the towel goes up my arse and what part goes on my face. What are you using, a washcloth to dry yourself after a shower?
  12. You have obviously never been on Carnival. 😎
  13. Decided to find out if I was being misinformed by my attorney, or the bird. While not answering specifically (he's a good friend but he's still an attorney), he did literally compare it to cruising with a birth certificate -- maybe you can, but is that the most prudent option? So, there you go. I'd get it notarized, whether absolutely necessary or not.
  14. You don't have to understand. It's just the way we think. I don't begrudge someone for wanting to save a few bucks, so don't begrudge me if I think it's no big deal to spend a few more. And the topic is discussing when food isn't readily available, not when it is.
  15. Strongly suggest eating after. If you are not in the theater by 6:45, the standby line starts entering. That does not give you enough time to eat in either the MDR or specialty. Unless you have a really good waiter and just shove it in as quickly as possible. Pretty sure the standard is eat first, then late show or show early, then eat.
  16. Man, this thread title is world class click-bait. 😆
  17. Ok, cool. I don't think you represent the average.
  18. If you can afford to spend $1000's on a cruise, you can afford $10 for room service and all the food you want. I rarely get out of the room before 10 am, and rarely eat breakfast. But if I really need food, I can get it.
  19. Are you talking about the foofoo specialty "Martinis"? That may be the confusion.
  20. I guess I just wonder, why? The ball drops on New Year's Eve, not midnight on New Year's Day.
  21. When did this happen? What ship? Where did you see the upcharge, on your folio? This makes no sense to me at all.
  22. I'm still trying to fully understand what scam you are ranting about. Is it the 20% gratuity on the drink package? Is it that you won't drink a classic martini with the gin available on the "free" list? Or are you too proud to ask the bartender for what you want? I don't get the scam. I thought I read the whole thread, but I must have missed something.
  23. You do what I posted, directly above this unnecessary rant.
