  1. Still nothing for Ovation August 4th. I can't help but find this ridiculous.
  2. For sure. A New York taxi is, well, an experience. Some might find it out of their comfort zone. All I can say is it was half the price, twice the fun, and FAR more comfortable than a crowded shuttle bus.
  3. Is her name Joan Jett? 🤣 Sorry, just saw a commercial....
  4. I see you watched Zach. 😀 Trying to get off the ship as soon as possible is a fool's errand. If he had waited the 55 minutes in a nice comfortable chair somewhere, he probably would have just walked off the ship (or nearly so). We have a 1:00 pm flight out of Newark in November and will probably be one of the last one's off the ship, with taxis readily available. Not paying the outrageous price for an NCL transfer. A 2:00 pm flight is a no-brainer. YMMV.
  5. International or domestic. Neither an airline, nor NCL, will let them board without a parent or a notarized affidavit naming a guardian. It can be worked out with an airline -- doubtful with NCL.
  6. The good wife often orders specialty cocktails and asks the bartender to keep it at $15 or under. She has never been denied. Whether they substitute a cheaper brand, or just let it slide, is unknown. She doesn't care either way.
  7. Quoting oneself. Must have a quota to meet, or something.
  8. Still waiting for our Aug. 4 details on Ovation. It will be awhile.
  9. Depending on the amount, and far ahead you book, that would be a less than optimal financial decision. Can't you just write down the date?
  10. You can find them at a restaurant in port. It's kinda like thinking you'd get Maine lobster on a NCL cruise to Maine. Not gonna happen.
  11. Ok. I'll bite. It's been 4-months, let's see if I can still get a pass: 1) 1 long, 7 short 2) In your cabin 3) Yes, but no bags 4) Key card, or back of cabin door 5) Yes Do I win, do I win?
  12. Depends on the contract. I have pre-existing conditions that are "controlled", so they don't count in my policy.
  13. I knew I wasn't going insane -- yet.
  14. Unlikely, but they are pretty quick. Our Encore repo port changes next April were updated the next time I looked. I'm certain that was within days.
  15. Still? I thought they changed that.
  16. Seems like a pain in the arse for 50 minutes. Just sign up for traditional at 1730 and you can go to any show you want.
  17. It is a bit disingenuous to call it "My Time Dining" when it works best if you have a reservation, and the earliest one you can get is 6:45. As long as traditional early and late seating exists, MTD will be nothing more than a pipe dream.
  18. Can't speak to the Haven, but as for excursions it depends greatly on the ports you're visiting and, most importantly, your budget.
  19. Free better than taxi better than Uber.
  20. JFK is the farthest airport from the pier. By the time you deplane, get your bags, meet the rep, wait on the bus until full, and drive to the pier; you might not be that far off of check-in time. Depending on when check-in starts, of course.
  21. Excellent. We'll be on Escape in November.
  22. Hmm. Am I thinking about the Cavern Club? I don't remember the Beatles shows being able to be booked either.
  23. Are you certain you are remembering correctly? All the comedy shows are listed with days and times, but you can't book them in advance. At least that's my memory.
