  1. If everyone gets the discount is it really a discount or did they just price it 10% over intended selling price?
  2. Went to a land based all inclusive resort once that had 'magic boxes' in each room - essentially a cabinet that had one door on the outside of the room and one door on the inside. Any room service was put in there for you to retrieve, and dirty dishes went back in for pickup. I think those would be good.
  3. YouTube just rolled out a feature too where AI will generate a title for the video for the creator. I wonder how much this plays into the more clickbaity titles -- the creators still have to chose to use it but I can see it having an effect.
  4. As a front line customer service employee, this is what I was going to say. The employee on the other end of the phone cannot control how fast things get processed. Sure, make it clear you want your refund and are expecting it, but please do not take it out on the call center rep.
  5. On my Bliss cruise in May I was told that room service had to handle it and that there would be a charge. I just filled my bottle from the buffet or OL and saved myself the trouble.
  6. In the summer months they have musher camp basically on dry land. In the colder months, they likely move it to the snow.
  7. Oops! I thought the one half slice in the back had cheese on it (I was trying to figure out how you got 3 half pieces of bread)
  8. Unless Haven, at which point they box up your leftovers and have them delivered to your room via your butler.
  9. I think the oddest thing I travel with is a baseball -- which I use to roll the knots out of my shoulders. It isnt exciting but oh is it helpful. Or, I guess, my purple fuzzy sloth slippers. For a while I had a wooden phallic keychain that lived in my suitcase - a joke souvenir I got as a gift years ago. It has fallen out somewhere along the way, I hope whomever found it got a laugh.
  10. They were out in full force on the May 6th Bliss.
  11. We went the second week of May this year and the weather was wonderful!
  12. In a less aggressive manner, I did, but after her still railing a few minutes later decided to remove myself. Her issues weren't my business, the service dog team was long gone and I was just going to cause a scene with someone who didnt understand the problem.
  13. *RAISES HAND* I am in this club. I want to spend my money on me, for vacations or for clothes or for whatever I want. Ok, and the not changing diapers is nice too. You got me there.
  14. Can we, as a public, agree to not do what I saw on another cruise line earlier this month? There was a person on board with their (clearly labeled, well behaved) large service dog. The dog's vest/harness IDed it as a PTSD service dog. I witnessed a woman yell across the corridor that the dog was "too big" to be a service dog (yelling in the direction of dog/handler team) and that it "must be nice to have money enough to get your dog on board" and several other things. By the time your service dog - of whatever sort - has made it on board, it has gotten clearance from the cruise line. It's no one's business, after that, to question the dog's purpose/"worthiness"/size/etc.
  15. I did not. In fact (and this is totally an error on my part, no fault of the cruise line obviously), I just picked a random cruise leaving from and returning to Seattle, since that is where I live and made the logistics easier. I would not recommend that. Maybe a smaller ship or different itinerary would have been better for me. I can't help but think that I would have done better on a 1 way route.
  16. My brothers joke that we just need 5 gallons of sunscreen and a paint roller for me. NBD.
  17. Oh I feel this too. I think I am just not a 'sit and enjoy' person 😝
  18. Just got off of deck 8 forward on the Bliss. I recommend midship.
  19. The MDR is where I met the singing pastry ladies. I got a laugh out of them - just so you know I didnt Oscar the Grouch in their direction 😝
  20. I keep thinking of more details to add. Elevators. Many people complain about the elevators. We found them sufficient. Sometimes they were slow but where were we headed in a rush anyway? We typically avoided them at times they were expected to be busy and we were fine. The Observation Lounge - I have so many good things to say about the seats there. My sciatica is DISPLEASED and those chairs didnt hurt. I was so happy for that. The thermostat in the room had no instructions. In fact, nothing in the room did. Most of it didn't need them but knowing what I was setting the thermostat to would have been nice. I was glad to have the Freestyle Daily in my phone. It was really helpful for planning from anywhere. We never experienced a wait going to Savor or Taste, which was nice. My group went to the Manhattan Room one of the nights (I did not) and raved about it. It sounds like that is the MDR to visit. We saw a lot of whale spouts and my husband saw some whales just off the bow of the ship one morning, which was lovely. There were eagles all over the port in Icy Strait. My brothers are a gay couple (technically my brother and BIL, but whatever). One of them is heavily tattooed. To my knowledge they did not experience any issues due to this. Sad that I should need to mention it, but it is worth pointing out. Even the people on our excursions who were discussing their heavily conservative religious views were super kind. Our excursion guides were awesome and knowledgeable too. I would tour with them again. I found our cabins to be quiet, aside from the general mechanical sounds of the boat. As an early to bed person, that was great. The breakfast pastry singing ladies were there, and I can understand why people love them. I found them a little much for pre-coffee me, but I also dont like Disney so that is just a personality flaw I embrace these days. I felt the same about the 'washy washy' songs. The theatre chairs were wonderfully comfortable. The sound was good for the things we saw/times we were there (magic show, meeting before excursions, and a presentation about Alaska). There was even AC coming out of the back of the chairs, so the temp stayed lovely. There was never a time when I wanted to be in a space and did not find a seat there. Maybe that was luck, maybe it was great design. I did write that on my feedback card and really appreciated it.
