  1. Sun will be at Pier 2 the whole time during the 24/25 season and 25/26 season. The rule for Princess is that the newest ship in port that day gets Pier 2 since that is the Princess specific pier and then the older ship gets either pier 19/21 (free use pier). So if the Sun and Sky were in the port the same day Sun would get Pier 2 and Sky would get Pier 19/21.
  2. I believe that is a store space for crew equipment based on my memory.
  3. Watching Contraband: Seized at Sea on Discovery right now and behold they are in Brooklyn featuring a cruise ship coming in and them checking passengers. The ship they show is the Island Princess. They blur out the Princess logo's but you know it's Princess. They currently got a couple brining back more cigarettes than allowed and needless to say one part of the couple isn't happy about it.
  4. Exactly. The last time I was on Sky for the November 2023 TA I looked at the WiFi receivers/points and all of them were from 2019. Those are fairly old and probably at a replacement point considering how technology advances and gets better.
  5. No that won't be in the Christmas break range here in the US. The ship should be decorated but shouldn't have to worry about an influx of children on the ship.
  6. The standard you get for the medallion is actually a white princess branded lanyard. The necklace you mentioned is an upgrade you could buy. You should be able to get the dinning accessed once you are fully paid.
  7. Cozumel/Belize looks like it could be the sticking point based on the latest forecast. Based on the 2PM forecast the storm will be at the far eastern edge of Honduras on Thursday morning after just skirting Jamaica on Wednesday night and hitting Costa Maya head on early Friday morning. With that said I think Roatan may be good but after that could be a question mark.
  8. On the last one I was one the top person was at 3500 days and 2/3 were both at around 1200 days.
  9. I think it's because people don't think the Plus/Premier package are worth it at all and rather nickel/dime everything once they get on the ship. It doesn't take much on the ship to add up to one day of either package.
  10. Since I saw you got an iPhone the best thing to do is to turn WiFi calling on and have Airplane mode active. With WiFi calling active you can receive and make calls/texts as long as you keep the phone in airplane mode (no additional fees for WiFi calling). Depending on the islands you are going to your plan may work on those islands without paying a fee if you turn the cellular back on while on those islands. https://www.att.com/plans/unlimited-data-plans/roam-latin-america/
  11. If you want casual dining options that you don't need reservations/open for lunch and a better buffet go with either Sky or Regal. Emerald isn't bad but it doesn't have a casual dining that is open and can easily get a seat at and the buffet on Emerald is smaller with not as many options (not many items rotate) but the quality of food is good. As for the age of the ship they are all in really good shape and wouldn't be concerned about that part at all. Also found the casino on Emerald a bit more open than the other two.
  12. From Majestic back they have the library on the ship. From Sky and up the libraries were never placed on the ships.
  13. I just got off Emerald on the previous cruise (5/30 to 6/9). We stored Chocolate covered strawberries in the fridge (got them on 2nd night of cruise from our CVP) and they kept plenty cold without doing any propping of the cabinet door. The trick (from what I've seen on my last three with the 2 previous on Sky) is to keep cans/bottles of fluid (water/soda) as they tend to hold the cold better than food. We put 2-3 bottles of warm water in the first night without doing anything with the door and the next morning they were cold.
  14. You don't. You have to do it on the ship via the dining number on the ship.
  15. It is where Planks/Steamers is at. They are rotating the three on this cruise.
  16. No problem. I don't know if they will have this other casual option on the ship for your cruise but they also have the Crab Shack on right now. The Planks/Steamers/Crab all have been rotating during the cruise. The schedule for what venue will be the one running should be posted at the stand for each one near the rear elevator. (Didn't mention Gastro as that is a permanent one and is open every night.
  17. I'm on Emerald now and can say yes Causal Dining options do require a reservation (told by staff at each location) which kinda shocked me (this is probably due to the limited space that they have as compared to Royal/Gem class casual options). Tried to get into Gastro on the 2nd night right at opening and nothing was available until 8:30 (all tables were open when we got to Gastro; looked a couple times after but still had 2-3 tables open even after we left after not getting a table). The two that rotate upstairs have both been busy but haven't attempted to go to them yet. This reservation thing on the Emerald has kinda set me back a bit as I've used the casual as a fall back incase nothing was good on the MDR menu. With that said this hasn't been a normal Princess type crowd on this ship for the May 30-June 9 cruise. We got a lot of younger people on here and kids to the point to where the kids staff is really keeping busy (75-100 kids). Also we got over half the ship that are first timers and probably only 20-25% of the ship is Plat/Elite. With the mix we have on this one the dining trends are a bit different than the last two cruises I've taken on the Sky back in Jan 2023 (Western Caribbean) and Nov 2023 (TA) As for the rotating one upstairs it is themed a little different but not enough to really set them apart from the rest of the buffet.
  18. The price doesn't include baggage. You would need to check with the airline of booking to what the fees would be for baggage.
  19. It is on Deck 6 on the left side of the ship right before you enter the Casino. The arcade is called Churchill's Arcade.
  20. I'm interested in what the answer is to that too. Looked at the new price today in the manage booking tab and it actually looks to have gone up instead of down for the TA. (Price went down but not as much as it should have as we got Premier and the new price doesn't show losing two days for Premier.)
  21. Just got this email and it looks like the Star is now coming out later now: April 19, 2024 Dear Valued Princess Player Advantage Member, We are writing to share an important update regarding the delivery and launch of our second spectacular Sphere Class ship, Star Princess. Princess Cruises, in collaboration with shipbuilder Fincantieri, has made the difficult decision to postpone the delivery of Star Princess until Fall 2025. Following a thorough evaluation of the remaining construction milestones, both parties have determined it is necessary to adjust the ship’s delivery date from late July 2025 to late September 2025. This has resulted in a change to your voyage. Your new voyage is now scheduled to depart October 22, 2025, from Barcelona, Spain instead of Southampton, England on October 20, 2025. This change shortens the cruise from a 16-day to a 14-day voyage and as a result, you will automatically receive a two-day pro-rated refund for any funds already paid. The updated itinerary will be available in your Cruise Personalizer by April 30, 2024. While this decision was not taken lightly, we believe it is essential to ensure that Star Princess’ delivery upholds the impeccable standards expected by our esteemed guests. Other new inaugural sailings include an 11-day voyage on October 4, 2025; and a 7-day journey on October 15, 2025, both departing from Barcelona, Spain. These revised itineraries will open for sale on April 30, 2024. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and extend our sincerest apologies. Rest assured we are committed to providing you with flexible options. If you decide your new voyage is not suitable for you, we offer you the following: Future Cruise Credit and Onboard Credit: You have the option to receive a refundable Future Cruise Credit (FCC) in the amount of the nonrefundable deposit paid, along with a $100 per stateroom onboard credit (non-refundable). This FCC can be applied when rebooking any Princess cruise sailing by November 30, 2025, when booked by November 30, 2024. Full Refund: Alternatively, you may choose to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of funds paid. A Casino Concierge will reach out to you directly to handle your booking. Star Princess represents the next generation of cruise ships within the Sphere Class – following in the footsteps of her sister ship, Sun Princess, which debuted in February. Mirroring Sun Princess, Star Princess will shine with exciting new features, such as The Dome, the cruise industry’s first geodesic feature on the top deck; and The Sphere, the captivating, suspended glass Sphere Piazza at the heart of the ship, all while retaining the timeless elegance Princess is renowned for. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time of adjustment. Our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences remains unwavering, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming you aboard Star Princess as we embark on this remarkable journey together. Sincerely, John Padgett President
  22. From looking at the aerial, no way a main line cruise ship could get into DC. Its more for the yacht sized ones like ACL has.
  23. This. I did this on my TA back in November. Had both the email and a printed version of it to give to guest services to add on. If they are having no issues with the system it shouldn't take them long to add it to your folio. If the system is acting up you may need to leave it with them to add it to the folio but it will get done as this is what happened to us on that cruise.
