  1. We've only done the Escape.. Loved it.. Small, you really got to know the people that were there.. We were looking at another ship and probably would have still gotten it, but was afraid it would be too big, and therefore kinda lose the whole idea behind the vibe..
  2. There are also I guess you'd call them "double loungers" / "cabana beds" without the cabanas on the Escape that are 1st come 1st served.. They are up against a wall and think they still have the umbrella
  3. Our escape cruise isnt til feb 1, 2025 and I purchased ours Feb 4, 2024... If you wait til 120 days before, they very well may be sold out at that point if a smaller vibe like I think the escape has.
  4. The mini fridge we used on the Escape kept stuff perfectly cold. /shrug
  5. Or hear me out. Maybe just pour me a glass of cold out of the fridge. But thanks for letting me know ice makes stuff cooler.
  6. We didnt have to worry about the vibe on one of our sea days as it was closed due to high winds (one of the risks you take). The other sea day was fine.. Embarkation day was probably the 'busiest' it ever was and saying it was busy isn't really fair as I dont think more than 1/2 the loungers were ever taken any day I was up there. Now I wasnt there 100% of the time of course. Normally had server come along before I was ready for another so got my order in, but even when I was a little quicker on finishing my previous, never had to wait for a drink more than a minute or two.. Basically for them to finish the order before mine. edit: oh this was Escape (one of the smaller vibes) Dec 2023, and we had 2 bartenders.
  7. I know the escape had pitchers of cold white and choco milk in the buffet.. Probably cost them as much in milk as I did in booze :D. Glad you didnt mind the hot milk, but was not what I was expecting nor looking for lol..
  8. I'm an early riser and would be there in the 5 am hour most mornings.. I love my chocolate milk.. dont judge.. Apparently at that time in the AM they must think people want it hot or warm.. I was surprised when I had to ask for COLD choc milk.. Their solution? Ice cubes... lol.. I know it has nothing to do with answering the OP's question but wanted to share lol..
  9. Probably depends on how strict the port people feel like being that day, and maybe to an extent how hungry they are... 😄
  10. How dare you toy with my emotions like that! I don't know if I can trust @schmoopie17 ever again..
  11. No, larger shower with this awesome sprays.. different toilet config / where it sits just much more comfortable. edit: this was the escape I'm talking about
  12. I'm being 100% serious.. During my day to day I admit, I should wash my hands more than I do, but man, once I go somewhere, ie: hotel, vacations, anywhere like that, I don't have fingerprints left from washing so much lol. I've watched people do the little dance to avoid the washy washy people, they walk right by the sinks at the buffet.. I've seen many people say "well they have their own sanitizer" or "they just washed their hands" etc etc.. Maybe so, but how did you make it there without any touching of any other high contact surface.. just let them squirt your hands again so then we know..
  13. They aren't but if they didnt list them, people would ask if they had a fridge or TV in the room.. Why they dont say "other room amenities" or something.. ask NCL...
  14. It's called people that have more important things to do on a cruise this.. They ain't got time to wash their hands..
  15. Exclusive Club Balcony Suite Amenities Distinctive Purple Keycard Pre-book onboard dining as early as 125 days prior to sailing Pre-book entertainment as early as 21 days prior to sailing 1 complimentary valet laundry 1 bottle of sparkling wine upon embarkation Treats delivered to your stateroom twice per week. Well their site says one of the perks of a club balcony is an exclusive purple card.. so, there's that.. 🙂
  16. haha I just noticed that.. I'm normally better at seeing dates..
  17. The only place we were directed to go was to our muster station.. That was pretty much non negotiable lol.. Granted after that we wanted a drink so straight up the elevator to the vibe to get away from that madhouse for a while 😄
  18. LOL being our first cruise, and just trying to figure out where we were we would have welcomed someone directing us to the buffet lol.. But we figured it out 😄
  19. Interesting.. Not sure why that would make a difference if you've dealt with this person before and feel they've gone over and above for you and you just wanted to show them thanks.. But that's cool.
  20. I would say unless it's one with a larger balcony, no.. Not an expert but a 'normal' club balcony doesnt have room for a recliner IMO..
  21. That ain't no lie.. Thank goodness they are better at making ships eh?
  22. Gotcha, I have no clue which one mine is.. I cannot remember if they called me after I had signed up and was just browsing and got to the selecting a room or if was actually after I put a deposit down and booked it. Either way with the way they track stuff, again I ASSUMED 😉 that if it was me, on my account, the same person would get it.. I mean, I've fixed the issue, if we find something we're interested in, I email them, and if it's even remotely close to normal business hours, I get a call.. Heck, I've gotten a call from them at 10pm on a Saturday after I had a question.. I have a feeling it must be a longer term thing as we got a hand written card and business cards sent to us a few times asking us to pass them on to others that may want a cruise.
  23. LOL they werent a thing of the past dec 2-9, 2023.. BUT as others have said, I can see where they would be a thing of the past.. Or we were just lucky and one of the last ones to have them. Plastic that's snapped into a loop that if it fell into the ocean could get caught on turtles or something. And also as stated, most people didnt wear them anyway.. We let the lady put ours on because we didnt really know any better. But soon realized it was ok not to have it. edit: And just for nostalgia you can see it on my wifes wrist lol
  24. Ok if I call it gratuity would that be better? Everyone else I deal with at NCL sure wants them.. And NO I am not expecting people to tip their PCC's.. Ours has just done a lot of extra legwork since when it comes to things like cruises I tend to me a bit obsessive sometimes and they get blasted with emails about certain things, and making sure I didnt miss this or wanting to add that etc etc.. Sure I get it's their job but sometimes you just want to say an extra thanks to people.
