  1. Would you do that in a hotel dining room?
  2. Not a single red or white Burgundy on that list.
  3. It shouldn’t. Allowing for the usual employee lethargy, that refund could be processed and in your account with in 24 hours.
  4. Why have they listed the Louis Latour Ardèche wine twice in the same category?
  5. Attention to detail, there really is no excuse for such errors.
  6. We call that a mug of builders tea.

  8. @labrasett I understand exactly what you are saying and so happy you enjoy the islands. Yes, the heat is a bit of a difficult thing at times, always has been. I’ll never forget my childhood there and I apologise if I seemed a little defensive in my original post. A spoonful of olive oil each morning was administered at breakfast, difficult at first for a young kid. 🤣 I also lived in a hotel in Manchester as a child, breakfast was bacon and eggs with lots of toast and butter. I love olive oil and bacon with eggs even now at a slightly more “mature” age.
  9. Personally having lived in the Greek isles for six years as a youngster I loved the heat, the blue seas, the salads and great life. Even now I return, still love the heat, the blue seas, the salads, grilled meat and of course the ouzo. can’t quite understand why it would be a surprise.
  10. crikey is that someone dining in a vest?
  11. What’s wrong with visiting Greece in the summer?

  13. In the UK and France both champagnes are the same price, circa £30. There is minimal difference between the two regarding quality. Having looked at WineSearcher, again the pricing is similar for both, the much higher priced options for D Leroy are for large format bottles, magnums etc.
  14. Perhaps someone needs to give Cunard a few lessons on the regions of Bordeaux
  15. @D&N im absolutely amazed and flabbergasted that a reputable company could issue such shoddy, factually incorrect material. Surprised that you yourself haven’t noticed. According to the promotional material, you’ve posted, Cunard are stating that the wine flight consists of five first growths from the Médoc region, the reality is that there are only four first growths in Médoc, the fifth wine, Chateau Haut Brion, is from the Graves region. Very, very poor. Mind you, this was on the wine list whilst I was on the Silversea ship, Silver Moon earlier this year.
  16. @techteach I’m interested to know what the extra two first growths are, since 1855 until present there’s only ever been five.
  17. This perfectly sums up Silversea administration across the whole company. One that can’t communicate or organise a festive occasion in a brewery, or winery in this instance. Wine list in the Kaiseki restaurant, Silver Moon.
  18. R in the month is an old wives tale, a complete myth.
  19. SS provide luggage tags, where is the weakness? why make your own when they are provided?
  20. Ah yes, thanks for your information. I’ve just logged in to my account and have noticed I’ve been allocated the Taj Palace.
  21. I’m already booked in a hotel for three nights before the original embarkation day. I’ve so much to see from a culinary perspective, now I’ve even more time. SS seemingly have arranged excursions not sure what but it will be interesting to see what unfolds. Can’t wait, never been on a cruise before but it’s been a nervy ride even before stepping on board.
