  1. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but the Retreat Concierge number I have is 877.738.7328. (US)
  2. Speaking of Murano, why is it a French restaurant? It's a Venetian island?
  3. Don't count your chickens just yet. Here's another story... We booked a Sky Suite in the summer of 2023 just before the rumors about all the Celebrity cutbacks broke. We, too, watched the prices increase. Then, 35 days before sailing, Celebrity cut the prices on our voyage dramatically. We suppose they needed to fill the ship. Our Suite booking was slashed to 50% of what we paid. We called Celebrity to request a fee adjustment or some kind of credit. We did not really expect much but thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. Celebrity politely refused to give us any refund citing that we were beyond the final payment date. That’s their policy. They did upgrade us to an ‘upper’ Suite but tried to strip our original OBC and prepaid gratuities. I complained until they relented and transferred them to the new booking. Even after the upgrade and transfer, we were still several hundred dollars in the hole. Celebrity would not issue OBC or FCC for that difference. I can’t imagine how the Move-Up bidders would feel after outlaying even more $ in the Move-Up process only to see the price drops.
  4. What exactly is the priority dining for Concierge? Priority seating? It looks like dining reservations open up 90 days before sailing.
  5. You could also try GeoBlue, the international arm of Blue Cross, for medical and evacuation. Very reasonable.
  6. While we're on the topic can we add "very unique" (what the hell does that even mean?) and the constant incorrect usage of "begs the question" (a logical fallacy, not a question wanting to be asked)?
  7. Looks like a great cabin on the Moon - forward but not too much so. Bon Voyage. We're on the Moon in September.
  8. They should be ashamed of themselves. Some on the list could really be classified as mass-market 'beverages' rather than wine. Disgraceful. If anyone ever sees me paying $19 for a glass of J Lohr, please have me admitted.
  9. Thanks, all. I think the current 2-Category Upgrade promo (even after the price hike) makes E more interesting for us, at least for our first sailing.
  10. What happens beyond the final pay date? Most places don't refund or reprice. Do they offer OBC or FCC?
  11. We're looking at some upcoming Regent sailings. Is the upgrade to Concierge class from an F2 or G2 worth it? What's your experience? Thanks in advance.
  12. Two things come to mind: 1.) Are you using a VPN? If so, try turning it off then go to the bid page. Sometimes VPNs interfere with web page functions. 2.) Are you suing Safari? If so, try Chrome or Firefox instead. Often the developers don't have Safari in mind for every function.
  13. Absolutely. I'd never go barefoot in a cabin or hotel room unless I really wanted Tinea, Plantar Warts, etc....
  14. You should be able to see them in the App.
  15. They didn't nor did anyone on this thread expect or ask for that. It says there are complimentary drinks in the Retreat areas and it includes the Premium Drinks Package for drinks up to $17/glass. It goes on to list examples of the brands included. At issue here is that those same brands are now not complimentary and now exceed the limit on the PDP (yet they are still listed on the website). Reports are that some ships are charging $19/glass for them ,necessitating a transaction each time for the $2.40. This affects Premium Drinks Packages users whether in the Retreat or not. People are reacting because Celebrity was already charging $17/glass for mass market 'beverages' that cost $10/bottle. Then, adding insult to injury, they will bother the very customers who specifically paid not to have to deal with transactions for these drinks with a transaction each time. People paid for this many months in advance. Now the quality of product is being lowered without notification or recompense. This is what people don't like.
  16. Agreed. Vintage is not critical for the roses or everyday wines. But a $9000 Petrus with no vintage or preamble? Who would just order that? It reminds of the old joke: Diner: "What's the soup du jour"? Waiter: "It's the soup of the day" Diner: "That sounds delicious! I'll have that."
  17. Brutal. Thanks for posting. P.S. Obviously, I meant gouging, not 'gauging' above.
  18. Like most wine lists, the biggest mark-ups are always on the wines they believe people might recognize under $100. Sassicaia and a few other Italian wines look to be a relative bargains. No vintages listed either (for the non-Champagne wines). How can you set a price if you don't know the vintage and provenance of the bottle?
  19. Even if pricing is in Australian dollars this has to be some of the worst gauging I've ever seen on mass-market swill.
  20. What's the "PLUS ONE ADDITIONAL OFFER", written at the bottom?
  21. You're describing only one segment of the market - bargain hunters. I think the number of complaints on this board from many Retreat or Suite passengers indicates that some Celebrity cruisers are not just bargain hunters. Some may not want to be bothered (while on vacation) for a Sea Pass every time they want a drink. I'm among the latter. My first cruise with Celebrity is coming up and if I am pestered for a Sea Pass for $2.40 up-charges, they will never see me again. I'm paying for a suite in part not to be bothered. I'll add that what sticks in my craw more than anything is how Celebrity has moved the goal posts on what I purchased 5 months ago. And they continue to do so. I already have a negative view of Celebrity and I haven't yet boarded a ship. I've never had an airline tell me after buying the ticket that they will only transport me 90% of the distance.
  22. My cruise fare dropped significantly. Though it's well beyond the final payment date (so no refunds from Celebrity), I was able to get a room upgrade (after a lot of back and forth) with all else remaining the same for my booking.
  23. This came up in a thread a while back. Under the OpenVPN(UDP) or (TCP) option, have you tried selected the Obfuscated Servers? These should evade the VPN block. It may take a few tries to find an appropriate country's server but this should work. I'm curious to know.
