  1. You all sound like a bunch of dentists and lawyers. I've never learned more about tooth implants in my lifeπŸ™. How ridiculous can you getπŸ™„. Get your tooth fixed. Come down here to the US where we have great dentistry and pay cash $2K. Your provider will work out a payment plan with you. We love Canadians I do anyway. Your all's healthcare up there blows!! There's nothing that states you can't come down here and get timely appropriate and quality healthcare wherever your from. Good luck to you.🌟
  2. Hey Ms411 I just got a notification on Hurricane Tammy. I'm not sure the ferry to St. John is running right now. Jeez hope everything is ok down there. Hope you have munchies, beer, weed, beer, and more weed. We don't have hurricanes we have tornadoes, same thing different tweak. Good luck I didn't know it was going to be like that. You said inclement weather you never mentioned a freakin hurricane.πŸ₯Ί
  3. I use both nice beach and nice pool. You can do either purchase in advance or you can do what many of us have done and just walk in and pay. My St. Kitts Marriott Resort protocol is in many of these threads here on CC St. Kitts comment board. Keep reading you'll figure it out, go have fun. $50(US) a pop, a very reasonable fee to spend your day on the island. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
  4. I forgot about that, when St. Thomas was a home port. Boy those were the good ol days.
  5. Yes!! I saw that and the NPS is in no hurry time is on there side. Thanks
  6. Yummy!! Corn tortillas are authentic Mexican and the only way to go when you can get them. Taco food truck down there will KILL IT, 7 days a week especially on Saturdays. We have great tacos up here, that gravy sauce you are referring too is almost like a real deal Mexican dip but it's saucy. All the trucks have there own recipe but it's all pretty much the same thing. Street tacos from a food truck have never failed me always a winner. I have no idea why cruise ships don't do St. Thomas on Saturday's, Saturday's are when all the locals come out of there houses and yes everything is going on.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  7. Here's my 2-cents on the Caneel Bay debacle and I'll keep this short(promise) it sounds to me like the Parks Service is going to let the lease run out and then go in and legally take ownership of the property as they should. That's a not only a nice beach down there that property cleaned up would be sweet. Really sweet. Without a resort or the ruins of the last resort. The leasee and the lessor obviously have no business owning the property. They also had to know by building a resort down there hurricane insurance would simply be impossible much less cost prohibitive. Like I said it's just my 2-cents which is worth about 2-cents🫀.😁
  8. I kinda figured as much. πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄πŸ™„
  9. We have a guy and his wife here locally that set up a street taco food truck, their tacos and refried beans are killa. I love tacos anything. 😁😎😁😁
  10. Btw what's your favorite food truck? I love food anything especially food trucks. Thank you.
  11. It was MY vacation I was HOT, fairly intoxicated dying for another beer and ended up in Tickles somehow😁. I walked in there on my way back to the ship. I didn't think I was ever going to make it back πŸ˜‚. I'm not THAT lazy. 😁 Actually I was hammered cute place though. Well we certainly have a lot to look forward to when it comes to some new development on the island, that's GREAT!!
  12. The St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino. Day Pass $50(US). $10 taxi fare each way. Best ticket on the island. You wanna go to Carambola and spend your day on a CRUMMY beach with a bunch of T'erds knock yourself out. Otherwise read some of our previous posts on this board, and figure it out. Have fun on your vacation, we did 😎. Keep reading. You got this.
  13. Whenever you can. No worries. I was on the ferry from Cruz Bay back to Red Hook and sat upstairs on the ferry my forehead got sizzleaned off. It is a different kind of hot over there. Thanks just keep me in mind on that I have a genuine interest in going to this bar next time I'm on the island. I didn't get to go over to St. John last time because of the hurricane, I'm looking forward to going back and that bar I could make a long afternoon there. Thanks Btw did they ever clean up Caneel Bay? Last couple of times I was there it looked like a bomb went off down there. Thank you.
  14. Really?!! Damn!! Who opened up there wallet to St. Thomas finally?? C'mon Ms411 this not only won't hurt a thing it'll brighten things up a bit over there at Red Hook. Crown Bay needs completely like opened up in that corner back there and made more inviting. It's a GREAT pier it's just there's no really nice restaurant or bar back there. Where cruisers can gather close to the ship or have a drink before getting back on the ship. I have a buddy of mine who sells beer out of a kiosk at Crown Bay and has killed it FOR YEARS because there's no bar back there. Tickles is somewhere around there I stumbled in there a couple of times that was a long time ago and that was a walk back to Crown Bay. Well that's when Princess docked at Crown Bay if that'll tell you something. That barbequeπŸ˜• restaurant at Havensight was so PACKED when I was there last time it was a nightmare. I just kept walking went across the street and hit this SWEET BAR in the plaza across the street from Havensight. I forgot the name of that place but it's really really nice. That's what's so nice about Havensight you can always find a beer or a place to sit down and have a couple before getting out on the island. Comprende' Amigo?😎 Just for the record before I even get to a beach on St. Thomas between beer, souvenirs, taxi fares snacks whatever, you name it I'm already well into the 3 figures range. You folks are going to let me travel around your island with a drink in my hand my toes in the sand, and leave me alone, I can't give you my money fast enough and do. Going on 30 years now and it's just getting started. 🌟
  15. So on a cruise visit what would you recommend the best way for me to get to the Windmill Bar on St. John?? In the event taxi drivers don't go there.😳
  16. No worries thank you. Don't forget to post a pic. Thanks!! Have a nice weekend.
  17. This is the best one ever because it's SOOO TRUE!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ That's really funny!!!
  18. When you walk out on the beach you'll notice these huge boulders placed about 150 ft. offshore to break the surf behind the resort. It's the REAL DEAL Atlantic that south end of the island is very narrow you can take a taxi from Carambola to The Marriott in about 3 minutes not 5, 3 minutes. Carambola there is no surf no waves rocksπŸ˜•, crummy beach😒. A 3 minute taxi ride later we were on a real beach with real waves with real swells and CLEAN Beautiful water. The water is the deal, I was here on this particular visit it was Thanksgiving 2013. The storm that nobody told anybody about came through and blew everything on the beach and by the pool out into the ocean including a pair of my nice hurachi's I went back to the ship bare foot we do that alot in West Virginia anyway so it wasn't out of the ordinary.😁🌟😎 I've never experienced a storm like that and by the looks on the staff's faces either had they. The sky was BLACK the wind I know what high wind is all about living in the mountains. These were 120mph gusts easily. When it was kinda over everybody was too afraid to go out and see what was left which wasn't much and it really never quit raining it just let up. Major buzz kill but it was a very humbling experience. When you get to the beach walk to your left way past the breakers(north) along the beach about 250 yards turn to your right(eastπŸ˜‰) that's open ocean. Unless we're on the ship out in the middle of God knows where, we don't get to see or experience open ocean or a real beach like that. Tons of nice beaches but not water like that. That ocean out there is the real daddy ding dong.🫣πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜πŸ₯ΊπŸ«£ The open ocean has a mind all to its own🫣. You'll figure it out.πŸ–οΈπŸοΈ Lots of these tooπŸŒ‹. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  19. That's nice!! Love bangles too. It's just difficult to find one that fits. Thanks.
  20. I love stainless steel bracelets I just started wearing stainless last year after years of just wearing gold. Stainless wears well, is incredibly durable and looks great the idea that's it's so affordable doesn't hurt a thing either. Stainless goes great as an addition to wearing a blingy watch. Plus it's not so difficult to find stainless steel bracelets in 9 1/2 inch range or any size range for that matter. Stainless steel jewelry and I'm a different kind of picky when it comes to bling, stainless steel is the new awesome. My stainless bracelets wear as well as my gold one's do. I love stainless.πŸ‘
  21. Thank you. Appreciate it.πŸ‘Œ
  22. Iguana Joe's (AGAINπŸ™„) with EVERYBODY ELSE. Best authentic REAL nachos I've eaten in years. Bloody Marys ROCK. Mojito's are as good as they are on the ship. Fresh everything. Pretty people, nice too!! One of the best vibes on the island.
  23. Ms411 that place is nice. That Beer necklace is genius. She did that place up right. I'll be there next time on the way to the Windmill Bar. That's where I'm going straight from Havensight to Redhook to Cruz Bay to the Windmill, chillax, and have my share of brewskis. Hey Ms411 think about this about how long does it take to get to or from the pier at Cruz Bay to the Windmill Bar? Is it farther than Trunk Bay? It's not a problem I just want to make sure to catch the correct ferry back to Redhook. Thanks Todd
