  1. I know a lot of people are worried about booking a tour with an online agency. In all due respect I've never once had an issue with booking a tour with an outside company. I've also found that online sometimes they have a better selection of tours, that the ship doesn't offer. Good luck hope it all works out for you with Goff's Caye, I really enjoy it out there and so will you. Bye bye
  2. Go to Eagle Beach please and forget about your "family member" who wants to see nothing. If that's how you choose to spend your day on Aruba when you walk out of the port area they'll be dozens of tour guides ask them the same thing you asked us. They'll take you wherever you want to go. Have a nice time.
  3. Yes, no Baptiste I would go with Spencer Baptiste made the tour both times. Spencer Ambrose Jalousie Beach Break you can't lose. Go straight to Jalousie and The Pitons, no lawn chairs though. I didn't have a problem with it other's may. Water between The Pitons is calm and wonderful, snorkeling is awesome. Have fun.
  4. Or OR do what my silly ass did in 2007, rent a scooter from Cheke. Dodge potholes and goats all day driving down the coast trying to find a beach. Found the beach finally, Darkwood still take a nice taxi or you can email Lawrence and forget about it. Lawrence is the finest man in the Caribbean. He doesn't know anything else. It's why I keep going back. Email Lawrence he'll take you wherever you want. Have fun!!!
  5. Excuse me? "The oil platforms belong to Venezuela"? Yes they did a long time ago. Not anymore. Wait a minute your right the oil platforms do belong to Venezuela the oil underneath them belongs to the United States. US Navy frigates as far as the eye can see protecting the oil, what comes in and what goes out. It's called a gauntlet. I not only saw it I have pictures on one of my phones. It was a very very humbling experience(that's what they call it, a humbling experience) in this case very very.
  6. You can't go anywhere near Caracas or mainland Venezuela much less see it. You can't get past the oil platforms. Best you get is a dim light on a clear evening. There's nothing to see, forget about it. Be a good tourist and go to the beach. I would love to go back it's certainly not worth dying for though.
  7. No problem. Darkwood is the first beach, Jolly is in the middle and Turners is at the end it just depends on how far you want away. They're all 3 great beaches. Have a great vacation.
  8. 55 is the new 25, I turned 60 last year, 60 is the new 30. It's good to be old!!
  9. Yes Shore Excursioneer for Belize not a ship tour. I did Resorts for a Day, but it seems they're tour selection on Belize has been reduced. There's too much to do on Belize to get caught up on a crummy tour.
  10. They're almost right beside each other. I prefer Darkwood. No water sports I think they have added like a little water park area for kids. No snorkeling I mean I guess you could, it's not a beach for that. Darkwood is an enjoyment beach. Swimming nice bar and restaurant, water is awesome, sand and beach are wonderful. Either way you can't lose, at the very end of the same bay is Turners Beach I highly recommend this beach. There's nothing down there it's very nice super quiet great bar. All 3 are pretty much the same thing with a little different tweak, but all 3 have a great vibe and are nice beaches. Have fun. Bring sunscreen lots of it.😎 Speaking of which you can rent palapas at all 3 beaches. Very reasonable. 😎
  11. Yes it absolutely answers your question you just haven't or can't figure it out. It happens. 😳
  12. Orient Beach is on the other side of the island. Fabulous beach it's just far away from the port.
  13. Try Shore Excursioneer.com or Belize Cruise Tours. It'll work. Good luck and have fun.
  14. Email Christelle Eugene of Karambola Tours Martinique and forget about everything else. Have a nice vacation.
  15. I used Resorts for a Day. I understand that tour wasn't being offered recently because Goff's Caye is closed until next month for renovations. If Goff's Caye is open by the time you cruise you should be able to book this tour. In all due respect this is the way you want to spend your day on Belize. I hope it's open by the time you cruise this excursion has gotten so popular they had no other choice than to shut the place down and rework it so it would accommodate a lot more people. Good luck.
  16. My first Princess Cruise in 2001 I went to the solo meet and greet that was posted in the Princess Patters in the Wheelhouse Lounge. I was genuinely interested in seeing how many others were sailing solo-NOBODY CAME. I just assumed I was the only solo on the ship and probably was. I've never been to another solo anything on a Princess Cruise Ship. I don't cruise to cruise solo I cruise for the overall experience. NCL I've never cruised NCL my parents have, I know they have single studio cabins for solo's. I book a balcony, Table's reserved for solo's at dinner that's great if that's what you're into. I don't really care who I sit with at dinner. 80-90% of the time I sit at a 2-top by myself and I much prefer that. If I choose to sit with others I don't care if they're married, gay, straight, it doesn't matter as long as they can sit at dinner and have a respectable conversation with others. If I cruise with a girlfriend or I cruise solo by myself I've done both many times I cruise Princess either way because I like the overall product. I've cruised with my girlfriend before and I've cruised solo a lot, I really can't see me ever cruising again with anyone whomever it is. I cruise solo it works out tremendously every time, I have no interest in traveling with anyone again, especially on a Princess Cruise Ship.
  17. πŸ˜³πŸ™„.....πŸ€“πŸ˜³πŸ€
  18. Goff's Caye best ticket on Belize, on the way in hit The Wet Lizard for a drink makes for a great day on the island.
  19. Yep it was just starting to get fun and I had to get back to Crown Bay. The bartender asked me if I was staying for Happy Hour. Had no idea that bar was up there I had taken the ferry to St. John went to Trunk and it was raining. If it's raining on the beach that means straight to the bar. Took the safari band wagon back to Cruz Bay sat in the bar for several hours got HAMMERED(that hardly ever happens with me😁). Caught the ferry back to Redhook had a little more time left😁yep the bar again. I asked this dude on the ferry if there was a place I could get a drink before heading back to the ship. He recommended Duffy's he pointed me in that direction I walked up there from the Redhook terminal I wasn't sure where I was going looked over to the left and saw that badass bar sitting out in the middle of a parking lot. Didn't want to leave they made me leave so I wouldn't the ship!! Having trouble getting back to the ship on St. Thomas especially at Crown Bay has always been an issue. It's one reason a main reason why I like Havensight. If your going to St. John I really prefer Havensight. Pushing it when we're docked at Crown Bay is always a problem. I got read the riot act in 2011 by our cruise director and 3 or 4 security guards AT THE GANGWAY getting back on the ship 6 minutes late. Wanna put a damper on your cruise show up late for embarkation on St. Thomas. That Dog House Pub is that across the street from Havensight in that little shopping plaza up on the left end? That place is SWEET, kinda dark quiet Great bar. Excellent food menu. I remember that place had the best spinach artichoke dip EVER. That's a great bar.
  20. Ms411 Do you remember this bar just above the Redhook Pier called Duffy's Love Shack? The bar kinda like sat in the middle of a parking lot. Younger crowd, back in the day that place was wide open. I stumbled into that place knew nothing about it walked up and rest is history. Oh my that place will get you in trouble I had to leave or something weird like I told you before was going to happen. Great beach bar though. Duffy's Love Shack. Thank you.
  21. Belize at the port, The West Lizard "stick thing" going on MAJOR!! It's a scam and of course I was the first one to fall for it. When you get off the tender at the port in Belize it hits you right there. I'm not sure I've ever smelled anything like that before I went straight for it right followed my nose to this SWEET grill at this outside establishment called the Wet Lizard, this grill was loaded with marinaded sticks!!🀩🀩🀩 I may have already started drinking before I got on the tender on the ship.πŸ™„so I had to have another beer anyway. These weren't really kabobs they were marinated meat on a stick. I don't know exactly what it was but this grill had it going on, with this lovely Belizean lady at the helm. I'm in big time, when I walked in this bar there was only a few people there. 30 minutes later the place was not only packed they had a waiting list and couldn't make enough of that marinated meat on skewers fast enough. Looked steaky to me but who knows and who cares it was a true treat. Every island has the "stick thing" going on all have they're own different tweak and every last one of them are GREAT. Like I said I'll eat anything, with that being said sticks on the grill win win win. Especially at Magens Bay they'd kill each other trying to eat those things. I hope they think like we do Ms411, let's hope so anyway. Jeez don't short us out for another 30 years I ain't got 30 years left. Thanks, have a nice evening.
  22. Nice!! Love Crooners on the CB and the Emerald. The Caribbean Princess is a great ship solo you can do anything you want. Adagio on the Emerald Princess at the rear of the ship across from Sabatini's best piano bar at sea. The piano players normally stop playing around 10pm. I stay late and have this extraordinary bar all to myself it's wonderful. How did you like the WFM compared to the old Horizon Court? The WFM on the CB was wonderful at breakfast and lunch. Of course I eat anything but still the food is killer. They had fresh made omelettes on the Emerald but not like in the new WFM on the Caribbean Princess, that omelette station back there is abominable.😁 As a solo did you have any problems with the medallions? I'm still learning 😁 I didn't have time to stand there and figure it all out but I'm getting the idea. The Caribbean Princess solo 14 day Caribbean Circle sailing, I've done pretty much every one of them, that sailing is as good as it gets, especially for a solo. Except of course for Trinidad that place sucks it doesn't matter what you are. Have fun on your next solo cruise addicting ain't it?!!πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž
  23. YES!!! That "on a stick" thing it must be an island deal or something. Every single one of them whichever one you choose is GREAT. Those things are addicting, I stand right beside the grill!! πŸ˜‚ Follow your nose, another key is, those guys have all those local spice seasonings you can't get anywhere else and each one is different and all of them are THE BOMB!! If it was on a stick anywhere south of Ft. Lauderdale I done ate it and everything around it.πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ That's why I don't make stuff like that at home because when I do mine isn't even close to what they cook up and it's a disappointment. I think I'm in the Islands and I got this and it ends up crummy.πŸ˜• Gotta have sauce, I'm the sauce monster. It don't matter what kind I'm eating it. Thanks chief.
