They sell too many day passes. The Barcelo unless your a hotel guest other than walking to the beach and swimming in it your not going near the beach. If it'll make anyone feel any better your ship could port at 2am you could get to the Barcelo at 3am with your day passes, beach towels and unless your a current guest at the hotel your still not getting a chair on the beach. Exactly, city bus to Eagle Beach and forget about it.

I know exactly where that hotel is I stayed right beside it in 2016 at the Ocean Sky Resort. It's north. That's not bad, it's not Las Olas but it's nice. Keep looking and go back south a little bit. 😁

YES!! They're killing us. When I book my hotel via Hotwire I think they call that the tourist destination tax which Hotwire adds into the price. So what that means lol is that your prolly not getting that 3 night deal just like that lol. If you book with Hotwire that fee you'll see it on the invoice. If your going to stay in the state of Florida anymore the state is going to take a bite out of your ass one way or the other. I don't have a problem with it, Florida has been very good to me the least I can do is give them a little cash back on the way out. Good luck on that. You can try this it's what I do. Hotwire-Ft. Lauderdale-Beach Area- 3 1/2-4 star. Pick you a deal out and see what the total comes in at for 3 days. The price Hotwire gives you is EVERYTHING no destination taxes out of the blue!! LOL.

Other than both island's St. Thomas and Puerto Rico being in the same, the western hemisphere they have absolutely nothing else in common. Puerto Rico I have nothing positive to say about this island so I'm not going to say anymore. Stay on ship. Don't think stay on the ship. St. Thomas on the other hand pulling into Crown Bay or Havensight is always a treat. Sun always shining kiosks always selling ice cold beer, soda and more beer. Taxi's everywhere with polite and friendly drivers(EVERY TIME). Take you anywhere on the island you wish to go no worries. You can walk around Charlotte Amalie shopping and drinking at the same time and really relax and enjoy the great vibe. EVERYONE smiling having a good time. You walk around downtown San Juan with a drink and a smile, your done. Walk around downtown Charlotte Amalie with a drink and smile you get invited in for more with a drink and a smile. You would be much better off comparing San Juan P.R. with Haiti. Exact same thing.

Any current or recent visitors to Palm Court Gardens? I've not read any recent reviews and was just wondering how things at the resort were going. Best cocktail party in the Eastern Caribbean let's hope that didn't change. Thanks for any current info.

Yes they did pay a lot of money to stay there(better them than me). I go with the rest of the cruisers to Eagle Beach rent MY OWN palapa and chair drink buckets of Stella's all day ON THE BEACH. Grilled chicken panini sandwich with goat cheese for lunch exactly ON THE BEACH. I highly recommend you doing the day pass at RUI it's got your name all over it. Sounds like a time, have a good'n. 😉 That was the RUI day pass. Barcelo take your pick, give everybody at the kiddie pool my best for $90 a pop. You go mom!!

That's a deal!! Stayed at this hotel twice when it was the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Under a $100 ON THE BEACH in Lauderdale a night, can't beat it. If you can beat it I'd still take this deal but add on another 3 days at the same or better price.

Your making the right decision and your spending half the $$$ without all the B.S.. Aruba day passes I quit trying to figure them out about 10 years ago and it's been nothing but fun ever since.

Yep this sums it up. The Barcelo day pass if you buy the pass and plan on spending some time on the beach, it ain't happenin. Hotel guests have priority on the beach. You'll be spending your day at the pool. If you think I'm kidding go drop $90 a pop for the day pass and when you get back give us a review on THE POOL. The beach you'll get to wave at it. 👎

Correct, Secret Harbor does not offer day passes. Just get there early and rent a chair. I saw that little dive shop at the end of the beach. I just sat down in a chair and paid the guy from the dive shop he walked up to me. Highlight of the day was the ocean and The Sunset Grille great food great lunch anyway, ice cold Stella's nice people best deal ever. Certainly beats the cattle car convention down into Magens Bay and then when you finally get there it takes another 20 minutes minimum to get a beer. Sunset Grille best seat in the house. Magens Bay beach bar needs bulldozed out into Magens Bay and someone needs to put a restaurant and bar in that compliments Magens Bay. Not a ragtag dump with 2 losers floating around doing nothing.

YES!! Nice that water is COLD it'll wake you right up. Swimming against the current in very cold water is an enlightening experience especially surrounded by rock formations like Titou. Water was clean though I drank a couple of gallons of it on the way through, by of course no choice of my own.😁

Done Nachi solo twice you won't be going in a cab by yourself you get into a sizable minivan with others going to Nachi. When you get off the ship in Cozumel after you walk through the sales pitch and go through security. Too your RIGHT will be rows of Taxi"s mini vans just tell them your going to Nachi they'll take you to the correct van with other's going. No worries you won't be by yourself or ever feel compromised. Your going to have a very nice relaxing day on Cozumel.

Spencer Ambrose Jalousie Beach Break done it twice. 45 minutes from the port to the Pitons via speedboat. It's the only way to go for those of us who would like to spend the day on the beach and not in a tour van. Excellent opportunity to get pictures of The Pitons you otherwise would have never gotten by driving. Your first to Sugar Beach (Jalousie) before everyone else. Spencer cut too the chase literally. Everybody wants to get to the Pitons that's exactly what he does by speedboat to and from For those of us who've been to this destination many times this is the only way to go.

But most of us aren't interested in sitting in a tour bus all morning and most of the afternoon taking the drive from hell from one side of the island to the other. Know all about it. I'll take the speedboat to Jalousie any day over the bus ride from hell. I could not agree with you more. Nice to have options.
