    Gouda Cheese

Yummo!! That sounds wonderful, throw in a tight glass of Chardonnay(Napa Valley preferably) and your da chit!! Count me in on that next time I'm on the island. Appreciate ya!!πŸ˜‰...........πŸ˜πŸ˜‰
  2. Hi Eva!! "the BEST Hamilton tour?" Wazzat? Never heard of it but it sounds fun, I think. Sounds kinda snooty, count me in.πŸ˜‰
  3. I never take a Princess(ship sponsored) tour to Orient. Pick a taxi up right off the pier, never a problem getting taxi's in either direction. Btw knew nothing about "protests and unrest" on the French side of the island. I much prefer the French side for alot of reasons but mainly because Orient is such a nice beach.
  4. I didn't indicate anything Wim may have moved on. I heard last time he was not operating the Woodwind anymore it's been awhile back and started working for Carnival. I have no interest in disserving anybody.
  5. Wim was the guy who owned the Woodwind for years. We had 2 different CC groups that snorkeled Klein Bonaire off the Woodwind with WIM from the Netherlands. Last I heard he was working for the cruise lines I assume he has since sold The Woodwind. I previously posted reviews about the tour and Bonaire altogether, started going to Bonaire in 2007 when it first opened to cruise ships been here a half a dozen times since. I love the island, all the progress being made is great BUT #1 I'm getting to old for serious snorkeling especially something like Klein Bonaire and #2 there's really not anything else I want to see or do on the island. #3 if you don't snorkel there's nothing else to do. Great island though. πŸ™‚
  6. Our CC group we did Klein Bonaire twice with Wim on the Woodwind. Best snorkel tour on Bonaire hands down. You never know what your going to see. Snorkeling is easily some of the best in the Southern Caribbean.
  7. No parking fee but I have a feeling the transportation costs over and back have increased also. I used to get over and back from Crown Bay for about $55(US). I'm sure that's changed. The taxi from Crown Bay or Havensight to Redhook is probably close to $20 each way now. $6 Ferry fee, taxi and entrance fee to Trunk another $20, to and from Cruz Bay. Plus bar tab, better have a lot of fun.πŸ™‚ that's a long day a alot of $$$.
  8. Oh brother, I can't imagine everybody is dying to get out especially to St. John. I've only been on Trunk once where it got packed and that was later in the afternoon. All the other times there was very few people it was wonderful. Nobody on Cinnamon or Hawks Nest(GRRRREAT little beach). Now I can't imagine it's something to take into consideration when deciding to head over and spend the day there. I'm getting old, those days of the mad dash off the ship, taxi, ferry, taxi thing those days are long over. I don't do hurries anymore. With that being said I still want to go over and hang out on Trunk for the day. If not I would love to see the new bar and grill at Sapphire. Thanks for the heads up.
  9. Hey Thanks for the info. sounds like things are returning to some normalcy on St. John. Sounds Awesome!! Thank you!
  10. I'm sorry I just could never understand how an absolutely incredible Bay with such an outstanding beach, views unparalleled, water unbelievable which is all operated by the US Parks Service doesn't have a bigger restaurant and bar. Every time I'm there it's so packed you can't get near it and when you try and get something to eat or drink there's 150 maybe 200 people standing around not drinking not eating doing nothing. Enough of that nonsense, if I stay on STT and don't catch the ferry over to STJ, it's Sapphire every time. From now on I'm keeping it simple. Thanks!!
  11. That's great, $900 for a 2 night stay in San Juan thats pitiful though. That must have been one hell of a hotel room. I had no idea there was anything in San Juan worth $900, much less a 2 night hotel stay.
  12. Nice!! Was on St. Thomas in Dec. 2018 they wouldn't let us on St. John it wasn't ready for visitors yet. Going back next year and looking forward to it. You didn't by chance see the new bar at Trunk Bay did you? They needed a new bar terribly I just hate it they had to get a new one by having a hurricane blow the old one too pieces. Exact same thing or worse at Magens, AWESOME Beach, Beautiful water, great atmosphere, the bar is THE WORST!! The bar at Magens Bay needs blown to shreds and washed out to sea by the next hurricane and replaced with something that actually compliments an otherwise beautiful Bay. Thanks for your help.
  13. Trinidad and Tobago =Sea Day Stay on the ship, bar hop, and lay out by the Lido Deck pool all day. 😎 Stay on the ship!!πŸ˜‰
  14. Take a taxi to Orient Beach you won't regret it. French side. Later.πŸ˜‰
  15. Yes, an island tour of Barbados is a thing, especially on your first visit. We had a great CC group and did The Best of Barbados with Barbados Scenic Tours quite sometime back. Great tour, full day, nice vans and great island tour we had a very memorable experience.I highly recommend it. If you happen to change your mind I also highly recommend a full day cat. sail on the Calypso Girl. Done this a couple of times with our CC group, top shelf all day sailing you'll figure it out. Calypso Girl Barbados πŸ‘ Either way you can't lose.
  16. Let me get this right you paid $450 a night for 2 nights at a total cost of $900?? In San Juan P.R.? Rip off?? You got robbed Einstein. 😳 They gotcha.😬
  17. Best day pass on Aruba is The Barcelo, did it about 5 years ago it was $85(US) had a blast. Would definitely do it again. On Palm Beach. Check it out I highly recommend it.
  18. Yes and Yes. YES request a specific guide his name is Baptiste. Yes you should give them another shot. Last December we were in a global mess yes we still are but not as bad for cruising(I still won't book yet). Last December was not a conducive time to cruise. I had friends on the Enchanted Princess last December they were miserable. For one reason or another or another or another they had such a terrible time they wouldn't discuss the cruise with me. Other than to tell me they had to go back to there stateroom and take there masks off so they could breathe. Half the ports were shut down the ones that were open you could only take ship tours it was always some kind of B.S.. By January in the event we're all still here things should improve even more. Baptiste should be your driver, you need to get on your roll call and try and get others from your sailing to go with you. We had a group of about 30, 4 vans full of passengers the 5th van was a rolling bar. Excellent tour and I'm picky. Hope this helps.πŸ™‚
  19. Nice!! Your going to have a blast. So much FUN!!
  20. I posted pictures of Willamsted I took a few years ago here on CC. I took them at night having dinner on the river. They show quite a bit of the town lit up I think with Christmas lights. You can look them up somehow πŸ€”πŸ™‚. Willamsted is beautiful at night I highly recommend having dinner in town if your ship doesn't leave until late. When I was there it was nothing but fun good people great food excellent vibe and beautiful at night. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. My friends it's simple math, that's it. St. Kitts Marriott and Royal Casino Resort. Best ticket on the island hands down. Have fun we do.πŸ˜‰
  22. Yep Iguana Joe's did shut down during covid had friend's who tried to have dinner in there back in December, it was closed. It was my understanding they opened back up several months ago and they were getting back to normal. Hate it they had to shut down I'm sure they're not the only restaurant on the island that had to do that. That restaurant is a hub for cruise ship passengers and especially crew members. When it's closed especially for any extended period of time it's difficult on the local everything. I've been having dinner here for well over a decade simply because when our ship is ported on Aruba we don't leave until late. Had I taken a cruise last December like I could have got of the ship walked over to Iguana Joe's to find out it was closed I would have never forgiven myself. Had friend's who had planned on doing this walked over from the ship The Enchanted Princess last December it closed what a disappointment. Drinks upstairs at the bar, best mojito's every time. Awesome Bloody Mary's. Iguana Joe's that big bar and dinner tab, I'm on vacation who cares. Thanks for the info. πŸ‘
