  1. I would at least try going on down to Turners. Depending on how many ships are in port, they're may not be that many people down there. Wonderful beach, excellent water great little beach bar umbrella and chair rentals clean restrooms. I thought it was quiet, our CC group we had a blast there, Lawrence took us it was part of our tour. I've been to all 3 beaches you have suggested if it were me Turners. Hope that helps.
  2. Several from our CC group brought they're own noodles with them. I've never seen anyone renting any type of floatation anything at Magens. "Populated"?? Any more than 3 ships in port total at both piers. Plan B Plan C or Plan D. 5-7 ships in port on St. Thomas. From the time you get in the safari van at Havensight spend your day at Magens get back on another safari and get back to Havensight you've been through 18 different types of hell. Magens Bay is awesome, water beach atmosphere and vibe and views are wonderful. Everything else sucks.πŸ˜•
  3. Definitely stay until 3pm, from Maho back to the gangway on your ship with traffic would be no more than at the most 40 minutes and that's pushing it. Don't just get blasted by the jet engines behind the fence😎. Maho is not a real big beach but the water is incredible. While you're waiting for that A330 to taxi take off and blow you out into Maho Bay you can go out and enjoy the water before hand. Water and snorkeling are great. Don't forget CHEAP SUNGLASSES. Have fun.
  4. I've stayed at all of them on A1A, off Las Olas. I always book an early flight to FLL so I can hit the beach and happy hour before dinner. Many times I arrive at the hotel just around noonish. Check in isn't until 3 sometimes 4pm. The W, The Westin, Courtyard Marriott on Seabreeze, The Ft. Lauderdale Sheraton The Hilton. They all hold my luggage never an issue before check-in. I put a pair of shorts and a wife beater in my backpack. Taxi drops you off go straight to the front desk. Tell them what's up never a problem and I'm across the street on the beach by 1pm LATEST drink in my hand toes in the sand listening to Van Halen on Las Olas Beach. It's never failed me. Try it when you get back make sure you provide us a review. Thanks
  5. Go to Sawgrass Mills have lunch, check out the mall. Cheesecake Factory at Sawgrass Mills is awesome always a nice afternoon.
  6. Trunk Bay, restaurant, bathroom with lockers and showers. Trunk Bay will never fail you. $4 entrance fee is a very minimal charge to have access to this beach. Don't think go have fun.
  7. Yes. That's plenty of time. 2 1/2 hours from Maho back to the pier is more than enough time traffic or no traffic. Traffic can get hectic but nothing that would keep you from making it back to the ship in time. Have fun.
  8. Yummy that's a great idea. I always carry an empty bottle or BIG Cups😁🀩😁. "Cask Strength Rum" that's a treat. Direct from the distillery? Your killing me, that sounds wonderful and a GREAT way to start you day on Dominica. Fill your cask up and THEN take a tour, first things first sip real deal rum all afternoon in the backseat of a taxi van and go see the island. That's Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C. Thanks PORT ROYAL.
  9. Why do you think I keep coming back!! I can mind my own business with a big smile on my face in lovely weather, and do whatever I want. It's almost like that in Ft. Lauderdale. Ms411 you've heard that crock of total BS, saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"? That's the biggest cockamamie crock of BS I've ever heard in my life.πŸ™„ I don't do Vegas my buddy's do, they go to Vegas every single thing they have including themselves stays in Vegas in jail their not broke their bankrupt because they left everything in Vegas. NOW, what happens in the islands definitely stays in the islands especially on St. Thomas. I don't blend in but there's so many other cruiser's it don't matter. Always wear a hat and sunglasses tilt my head nobody knows me.😎😁😎 Chill have cocktails all day long whatever or where ever I'm going, I can smoke a blunt walking around anywhere NOBODY CARES. In an atmosphere and environment like St. Thomas got any better ideas fire away in the meantime see you soon.
  10. Clothes on Orient??!! That doesn't sound very fun, I thought that was the whole idea😁. If everyone else is dining with there birthday suits on and your dressed for church that's on you. Had lunch at Pappagya at the old Club Orient, birthday suits only. I would feel far more uncomfortable wearing clothing than I would wearing very little or nothing at all. Absolutely nobody cares, shake it off and go have fun.
  11. Sounds like my kinda beach!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. Now that Levi is no longer in business. I would hire a taxi for the day right outside the gates. You'll see them. If you have 4 or more people the cost shouldn't be prohibitive. There's a great market in Roseau GREAT local fruits and vegetables, at the same time you want to get out and experience the island, Dominica has far to much to see up in the mountains not to go up there. Titou Gorge, Tralfager Falls, THE EMERALD POOL. Nice little shopping area outside in the parking area of the Emerald Pool it's nice out there. Snorkeling the champagne reef is really nice too, ocean is full of life. Hire a taxi van, shouldn't be a problem. Have fun.🌟
  13. Yes it's "exceedingly difficult (if not impossible)". I cruised with a friend on the Caribbean Princess she was on a scooter in 2018. She missed 2 of the best tours we did on our last cruise, among other things she could not partake in because she was on a scooter. Hated it for her and was hoping you could avoid the same scenario on Aruba. 2008 Emerald Princess, The Scooter Store 500 cruiseπŸ˜’πŸ‘Ž. Good luck and hope you figure it out.
  14. They sound like alot of fun look like alot of fun, that pedal powered pontoon POS, I ain't doin it.🫣 Had some friends who did that whackjob tour about 7-8 years ago. From the time you get on the boat until the the time the boat sinks and you have to swim back your served local rum punchπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ€’ Doesn't it start over at Crown Bay? It's nothing but a party, but you have to pedal that POFS all the way to the beach AND BACK, SMASHED. Something doesn't really add up, it's a whole combination, the ocean, POFS pontoon boat, alcohol, stupid, pedaling, more alcohol, lots more stupid right and the ocean!! THAT'S just on the way over😳. And keep pedaling.πŸ˜•
  15. Yep, I did that on Barbados very pricey and we "sped around on the southern part of the island" too!!! I'm sticking with the Windmill Bar you recommend. Thank you.
  16. Sounds like a mountain of BS to go through, to purchase a piece of jewelry especially on vacation.🫀 I'm the bling king, best deals on real jewelry REAL GOLD REAL STONES, whatever they happen to be, is at the PAWN SHOP. Authenticity of anything is never an issue, getting something repaired is never a problem. I bought a gold bracelet at Cardow on St. Thomas in 1996, I've never bought another piece of anything down there again, probably never will and I've bought a lot of bling. Those so-called good deals on jewelry down there is extremely overrated. Find you a loser working at your local pawn shop, give him or her a good idea of what you want or what your looking for, and your in. Think what you want Pawn Shop only way to go.
  17. That place looks awesome. Thanks for the info. PORT ROYAL This is the way to go. That Princess Julianna 747 thing at Maho Beach is a bit overrated, actually it's highly overrated. Orient is not just a special beach the vibe up there is AWESOME!! Thanks PORT ROYAL.
  18. As far as the city buses I have a pretty good memory I do not remember ever seeing "wheelchair lifts" with that being said I can't imagine there not being away to get to where you are wanting to go comfortably on your own. "On your own" on Aruba is the only way to go, you can work that out. Have fun.
  19. Screaming Eagle?? So where does the jet boat take you?? You zip around the island waving at everybody like they did on Barbados for $175 a pop for about 2 1\2 hours??πŸ–•That was 20 years ago.😳 Do we at least get taken to a beach that's not on the map? Could be something to consider for those of us who would enjoy doing something new on the island.
  20. Take the ferry to St. John and spend the day over there, catch the 5pm ferry back to St. Thomas. St. John was not on your list, it's definitely a consideration.
  21. Sounds nice I've just never done those tours, there's all kinds of great tours on Belize. Those sound like good ones too. Glass bottom boat sounds awesome. It would be a tour I would definitely consider. Have fun whatever you decide.
  22. Relax Ken!!πŸ˜‚ I didn't call you liar I would never do something like that. Here we go again.😳 Was in Roatan 2016. Went to the beach I couldn't see anything but seaweed. Took the taxi back to the welcome center sat at the bar the rest was history. I got an idea this is simply just something to consider. On the your next cruise, a beach you might think seaweed could be an issue that you were planning on visiting, take a rake with you Ken, a couple of them. Or go to a beach buy a day pass at a resort where every morning the seaweed is removed from the manicured beach by a tractor with a sled behind it, seen it. Otherwise Kenny grab a rake. 🀭🀭😜😁
  23. No problem that happens. I told you before, ***** rant scream yell. We want a nice new bar and NICE restaurant at Magens Bay and a PHAT snack bar half way down the beach that serves buckets of Stella's.😁 They've choked that place out, they're thinking small. We want beer food and money not necessary in that order in a setting that compliments Magens Bay. Thanks homes.🌟🌟🌟🌟
  24. $10 fee increase seems extremely reasonable especially for a nice little day at Nachi. Nachi always a winner. Give them the $10 increase quit acting like a cheeseloaf cheapskate and go chill out at Nachi a have some fun.πŸ™„
