  1. Well I have to agree with blue_water. The beach you want to go to is based upon the vibe you're looking for. Don't let anyone fool you, you can find a nice beach and have a wonderful day on St. Thomas even with 5-6 ships in port. I've done it many times. Sapphire gets a little busy on port days. It doesn't matter there's plenty of room great beach fabulous water and excellent views. Sapphire is a great never fail you beach experience. I've made my thoughts on Magens Bay clear for years. Awesome, one of a kind bay and beach more than 3 ships in port, it falls apart after that I can't do it. I love Magens Bay just like everyone else does getting in and getting out with 5-7 ships in port, exactly Sapphire Beach😎. I prefer the east side of the island beaches, a little quieter better views chillin vibe. It's nice over there. Secret Harbor is great if you like to snorkel it's a great swimming beach love the Sunset Grille I love that place the beach is somewhat small though. If it were me get on your roll call, put a group together. As a group head over to Sapphire Beach or at least one of the nicer beaches on the other side of the island. Another thing on the way back you can have your taxi driver stop and you can pick up a drink or a cold beer. That's what's so nice about St. Thomas you can responsibly drink alcohol, openly. Exactly that's why we keep going back. Hope this helps. TTE
  2. Btw the reason I thought that was the real Atlantic around the Pitons in 2007 our CC group went whale watching off St. Lucia it was open ocean genuinely some of the most beautiful water I've ever seen much less swam in.
  3. Thank you reedprincess!! Day Pass at Rendezvous that's a great idea!! Fond Doux tour that sounds right up my alley. Chocolate experience on St. Lucia definitely right up my alley. Calabash Cove I can do one of these. Here's the deal I LOVE Cosols tour I love Herods tour. Spencer's Beach Break I don't know if I want to do those anymore. I was trying to avoid the drive through the island at the same time have a beach or a pool to chill out on for the afternoon. Thank you for the great recommendations. They'll work. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  4. Thanks reedprincess that sounds like a bit much to get there by taxi and I have to have a bar and restroom. I'm looking at sailings for next year and St. Lucia keeps showing up on the itineraries. Love the island been going now for 25 years if I end up back on the island for a day I really wanted to do something I hadn't done before. Thanks for your help.
  5. It depends on how many ships are in port. If there are 2 or more ships in port and they port earlier than you. You get to Eagle or Palm Beach around 2pm. It's going to be difficult doing anything on either beach especially Eagle. They'll be slammed. Normally when I go to Eagle Beach I go early, I'm out by 4pm and Princess always leaves at 10pm. I would just go and hope for the best. Good luck with that.
  6. Best parasailing in the Caribbean is on Orient Bay. Never parasailed in my life laid on the beach, watched them all day every time I was on the beach. Orient was made for parasailing that's why it's so popular. Wide open bay calm clear water it works big-time. Looked like A LOT of fun too. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If your going to do things of this nature on your cruise vacation I highly recommend travel insurance. Furreal.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  7. Ms411 I wasn't sure what was going on with all these different port times. Unfortunately the last several times on the island there were somewhere between 5-7 ships in port. I understand completely all the ships can't port at the same time. I've also noticed many of the ships are spending less time on the island. Coming in later and leaving earlier. SO FAR Princess hasn't done that. I thought it was just me. Port times are very important to solo travellers like myself I plan my day based on when my ship ports and leaves at the end of the day. These shorter and shorter port schedules don't sit well with me. Seems a bit disingenuous. 3-5 hours max.on St.Thomas would do nothing more than piss me off. When I have to get back on the ship after spending every last second I could on the island that pisses me off.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž Carnival ports at Havensight at 11am disembarks at 3:30pm. WTH!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ It's not just funny it's true!!
  8. Thanks!! The taco truck did it. Looks like I'll be spending my day at PB. Appreciate you!! Well, that was easy. Thank you.
  9. Hello!! I have a question for you please. For those of us who've done Nachi a couple of times wanting to try something else. Would you recommend spending a cruise visit at Paradise Beach or Money Bar? Thanks
  10. reedprincess can one book a private tour for the day at the beach you mentioned Anse I'Vorgne? Like most other cruisers I've swam at Jalousie many times, I just want to go somewhere different next year. I could spend my whole day on this beach if I can find a tour operator to take me. The beach you mentioned sounds like a plan. I could do that plus just like everyone else I love the south side of the island the water is consistently beautiful every time. Thank you for your help. Btw the ocean on the south side of the island that's the real Atlantic that's why the water is always so deep blue, it's deep, nicest and best swimming water ever.
  11. Hmmmm that sounds scary😬lotsa drama too. Ummm are you going to be on a boat??πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. Hello!! When this Courtyard Marriott opens if someone does the day pass. Please post a review here. Love Courtyard Marriot's stayed in many not on the beach. The Ft. Lauderdale Courtyard Marriott is across the street from the beach. Awesome little hotel. The property on Curacao I'm sure when it opens won't disappoint. Thanks for your help. Todd 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  13. Everything on Magens Bay has been a hassle for the last 20 years except the water and the views. The beach isn't a hassle if you keep walking, everything else is a hassle.🫀
  14. I certainly don't know the specifics of your cruise but I have ported at Havensight and Crown Bay on Princess many times. 10am? I have never disembarked a ship in St.Thomas later than 9am, normally it's 8am. 11am? 11am I'm on beach at 11am and you should be too.😎
  15. Btw believe it or not PORT ROYAL I'm good at math. 😁
  16. Love that menu. My next question was going to be the conversion rate but you answered that for me. Appreciate you.
  17. Thank you for this updated and current info.. I appreciate it. For years Eagle Beach was a beautiful quiet local beach. That's over. Everybody started running they're mouth's like myself about what a nice beach Eagle Beach is, now it's become extremely popular with cruise visitors. It wasn't always like that. As you stated you have to get there early. Thanks for taking the time to give us all the new pricing at Eagle Beach. πŸ‘πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ
  18. The Pitons are " not your typical tourist spot"? Last 5 or 6 times I was there thank God Spencer took us in the speedboat otherwise we would have been sitting out in the jungle with all the other tourists who couldn't find a spot on the beach. Sugar Beach was slammed packed.......with tourists just like us.😎
  19. One things certainly for sure Marigot Bay, Sugar Beach aka Jalousie Beach Plantation and maybe Souffriere on a private cat tour or otherwise aren't "your typical tourist stops".😳-----------🫀
  20. Some of the best snorkeling I've ever done actually I've never seen that much life in the ocean since is at the end of Orient Beach. Right out from the Dive Shop. Best snorkeling in the eastern Caribbean. I stepped on a sea urchin had to get back to the ship with a 2 inch barb in my heal. The doctor on the ship removed it from the bottom of my foot.🫣 Orient Beach is nothing but life, it's just like anything else just watch what your doing your in for a very pleasant surprise.
  21. That sounded like a blast!! Keep this in mind anytime your on a speedboat with Spencer Ambrose one of the boats ALWAYS breaks down and Spencer is always sick. That's just how it is. Love the guy, boat always breaks down and Spencer doesn't feel good.😳
  22. I'm pretty brave PORT ROYALπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ especially when it comes to drinking in the Caribbean!! Bush Rum I won't forget that. Thanks for the heads up!!πŸ€œπŸ€›πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

    Wet Lizard Tours

This is correct. I met with both my tour groups to Goffs Caye at The Wet Lizard. I booked the tours both times online with Resorts for a Day and we met right beside it. Wasn't going to stand there and wait for our tour to leave with a killer bar right there. I sat down at the bar and started early. Your tour won't leave early when you get off the tender at the port, you'll have some time to have a drink and get a bite to eat if your hungry before you take another tender out to Goffs. Wet Lizard great food cold beer excellent vibe I highly recommend it before and after your trip to Goffs Caye.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  24. Personally I like it over at Redhook. It's a breathe of fresh air from the Havensight or Crown Bay rat race. Sapphire Beach is right there. Depending on what time you're ship disembarks you could always take the ferry over to St. John and chill out for a few hours. Once you get over to that side of the island I would spend my day over there in some capacity. Sapphire Beach is one of my favorite beaches on STT. Go to the beach first and then go up to Duffy's. It's a cool bar. Have fun.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  25. Btw welcome to Cruise Critic. Just for the record when you need a taxi back into town, walk back down to the Redhook ferry terminal, they'll be a half a dozen or so taxis waiting on passengers to take back to either pier. No problem no worries.
