  1. I'm willing to recalibrate my expectations just as soon as Celebrity stops recalibrating the cruise fare(s) upward. Can't have it both ways... substandard service, etc. along with eye-watering price increases 😞
  2. It's extremely rare to get anything remotely close to these discounts as in most instances one has booked under a "special" of some sort which is technically a greater savings. Only way to be sure is a dummy booking with & w/o the C&A number.
  3. Are you sure about the C&A discount as it's typically "Smoke & Mirrors". Additionally, is the hassle worth it unless it's more than $50?
  4. Not lazy but I'm not carrying two, full to the brim, Martinis back to our table as they would never get there :-)
  5. Since most/many now have the beverage package it's not in Celebrities "financial best interest" to make drinks flow freely. Every drink served is a HIT to the bottom line.
  6. I've never encountered a hotel which didn't offer to store/hold your luggage until your room is ready.
  7. Bermuda is Nice & Beautiful BUT after having been there on several occasions it's "Played Out" in my book and not worth the bureaucratic hassle, C19 testing risk/cost, & per-person TA expense (in addition to the already exorbitant port fees) for what is essentially six-hours ashore in late Fall 😞 Yes, I'm an agent, but I call it as I see it and would advise a client to skip Bermuda at this time.

    February Weather

What ship/line as I've never heard of a dedicated cruise to Bermuda in February :-0
  9. Correct... there is no break-down of taxes/port-fees BUT you can always tell you're going to Bermuda as the taxes/port-fees are typically ~33% HIGHER in that situation. Bermuda thinks very highly of itself 😉
  10. Hopefully I can get some grilled Foie Gras
  11. It's the principal of it and not the money BUT the testing & bureaucracy
  12. This self-performed/unmonitored testing is crazy. What's to keep one from sticking the swab in your ear canal and getting a passing test... JUST NUTS!
  13. It depends on whatever they can get (cans and/or bottles)
  14. "Our concern is that the layover time in Charlotte is only one hour and 42 minutes. We have contacted Celebrity Flights and are waiting for confirmation of a rerouting through Dallas that would give us two hours and 20 minutes layover." I agree that a longer layover is "better" (in your case practically the same) but it does nothing for you if there aren't any other connecting flights to Rome if something happens w/yours. Better, IMHO is seeing which airport (Charlotte or Dallas) has better "lift" to Rome if you miss the connection or your original flight is cancelled.

  18. I just LIVE in Hawaiian Shirts while on-board!
  19. I concur but it isn't much of a "stretch" for them to start confiscating the Schuko->NEMA "adapter" as well 😞 The hot-button issue with the cruiseline was always the presence of a "cord" and/or surge suppression (MOV)... they've moved away from that and have gotten more extreme.
  20. Tried the Chef's Table w/optional wine pairing on Edge. IMHO it's not worth the $$$. The Chef's Table on Royal is 50% of the cost and an equivalent experience.
  21. So an unadvertised event gets cancelled because not enough people signed up for it 😞 Very poor planning on the part of Celebrity.
