  1. Just checked excursions for our cruise in March and find that the ones we are interested in are sold out. Do you know if they hold back any spots for onboard booking? Should have been more on the ball.
  2. Confirmation email received today. Not quite as speedy as yours. I applied on the 27th November. Still a great response time.
  3. This is the email address I used Email: shareholderbenefits@carnivalukgroup.com Is this correct? Last time I allowed HL to apply for me and it was not a great outcome.
  4. How long did you have to wait for a response from the date of your application. I’ve applied but heard nothing back.
  5. I think they need a new IT Manager or maybe even a whole new IT dept.
  6. Have a look at the CSSC website (Civil Service Sports Club). A few pounds a month for membership but good savings to be made. I haven’t purchased travel insurance through them as it comes with our bank account but it might be worth a punt.
  7. I should have probably mentioned palazzo pants. Way more modest but maybe not as good as showing off the tan.
  8. Free? The Chefs Table is free? Well that’s a first for us. I liked the menu shown above. We will definitely try it on our Arvia cruise if we can.
  9. No offense meant. I was only going by advice on the thread.
  10. So I assume final payment has been made way in advance? I decided to test the water and sent off my application. Haven’t made final yet.
  11. That contradicts the info posted by Briani. Please be aware that to apply your shareholder benefits to a booking these must only be sent to us after the balance due date of 90 days prior to departure, and no later than 21 days prior to departure. Any late bookings made within the 21 days will not be eligible for shareholder benefits.
  12. We have just returned from a Princess cruise which whilst not a TA was a repositioning cruise and as such was similar to a Caribbean cruise (New York to Fort Lauderdale via the ABCs etc) and we decided on modified formal clothes. Instead of taking a DJ hubbie took a couple of smart waistcoats and I took black silk pants and a couple of sequinned tops. Hardly any weight and more than dressy enough. In fact you’ll probably see me in them again as we are on the Arvia TA also.
  13. We are back from our cruise and did indeed get the shareholder benefits after a struggle. Our next cruise is in March on the Arvia. This time I intend to apply directly and not allow our stockbroker to apply on our behalf. I understand you can apply 12 weeks out from the departure date and you can complete a form online. Is this correct? Thanks to everyone for the advice given previously.
  14. Our claim was on a Cunard cruise but very similar wording. The insurance company also asked for the invoice for the cruise. Claiming by phone was not easy so I took photos of both and attached them to the online form on the insurers website. Payment was made within the week.
  15. Lovely, but be prepared to queue. Very popular.
  16. No excess on our policy. £300 was the full payment. I suppose it depends on your insurance provider
  17. We missed Bermuda this year (not a P&O ship) and our insurance paid £150 each. Nothing from the cruise line.
  18. Same for us but whilst in the past we would take a large suitcase each and use every little bit of the 23kg allowance, now it’s medium suitcases and around 18kg each max. Shoes and toiletries are the bugbear for us. What hasn’t changed is the carry on with a complete change of clothes for each of us along with essentials such as meds.
  19. Sorted! Whew, bit close for comfort and credit to our travel agent who really went to bat for us. I know I can’t mention them by name.
  20. Thanks. Next P&O cruise is in March so I’ll start the process in January.
  21. Me too. Next time it will definitely be individual as I’ll do it myself. How much notice would you give.? HL say not before 21 days. Do you agree?
  22. Are these martinis included in the Princess plus package or only premium?
  23. What class action. I’m an innocent abroad when it comes to share dealing. Only bought these for the benefits.
  24. Yes I have. It appears that they don’t send individual applications, rather a job lot when they have a number to send off. I didn’t expect that.
