  1. How does that Bloody Mary taste? How spicy is it? Do they use a quality Vodka? Alaska Airlines, our go to home town airline, uses hometown distilled Tito’s, which I do not like. Thanks for posting this HH.
  2. @exlondoner Champagne makes me sleepy. Bloody Mary has the spice that cuts through Eggs Benedict, or tasty bacon or sausage. It declares that a new day of vacation has begun and often leads me to a slot machine. Special request it shall be and please include celery and 2 olives. If marinated asparagus or green bean is available that would give me my veggies for the day.
  3. I watched a YT video last night and Illy coffee was on display.
  4. !!! No Bloody Mary’s for breakfast?!!! @groryjm I’m glad to see you took matters into your own hands. I thought nothing was too much to request.
  5. @buchanan101 Yikes, it really did a nose dive. I thought we were buying at it’s low when it was around $9.00, but it is now just above $7.00.
  6. @ExArkie I’m on M240 with you and plan to test in London on Tuesday.
  7. I’m liking the reindeer, but still no bears? My heart sank, but they have 59 days.
  8. @Underwatr I think I’ve posted this before…but…here it is again. In August we sailed on Celebrity. From the website there was a link to emed (?). I assume Celebrity is getting a cut of the price, or if they aren’t they aren’t as smart as I thought. Cunard could do the same thing. I used my ipad for the observed test. It took 20 to 30 minutes. Was super easy. When you log into the site it asks for the cruise line, ship, and sailing dates. You get both an email and notification on the mobile app of the results with all the information you need. We’ve all spent more time than needed to solve this.
  9. @rafinmd So good to see you back posting Roy!
  10. Jumping in to this discussion to agree that dress code threads are an issue on the other two cruise lines I follow. It is Huge on the Cunard board and almost all end up being locked. People are very passionate about dress at dinner. We will take our first Oceania cruise in September, 2023 and really looking forward to it.
  11. @Bigmike911 Do follow baseball? Are you an Astros fan?
  12. @Host Hattie I have shared your trip with my DH, and last night he said, “Can you find a video of this ship you want to sail on? Which Queen?” We watched several videos on You Tube and we both think we need to find a QV cruise. He was amazed at the number of sold out cabins and now understands why we need to start thinking about 2025. Thank you again for all of your posts. They have helped my cause.
  13. Very convoluted— States can’t tax interstate commerce according to DH. So much for my scheme to raise tax revenue on visitors.
  14. @Jujuonboard The World Series is a long way off. We have to get through Houston. It would be fun to play Atlanta in any series.
  15. Oh My! Tell me about the bicycles. I’ve never been to Amsterdam. Are they to rent? Are they left to be retrieved?
  16. @edhopper Thanks for asking this question. I have always assumed our card, as you have posted, would be sufficient. Happy Sailing!
  17. Dear Canadian Cunarders, I’m sorry your Blue Jays lost. They are a fine team. But I’m “gladder” we won. Our drought has ended. Finally. Especially to our friends in British Columbia, please root for us against Houston. Prayers are welcomed and appreciated. For those in other countries, this is baseball play off season. Go Mariners!
  18. We are on a 7 day cruise, first time on Oceania, and I sure hope cavier is on the menu within those 7 days. We have done many cooking classes over the years including Guy Savoy 5 sessions. We have dozens and dozens of cook books, and 4 binders of favorites. Within 14 days there are no repeat menus. We plan 1 week of meals every Thursday night including a shopping list. We have fish twice each week, Saturday and Monday, because we go to Pike Street Market every Saturday morning and buy fresh fish. We are doing this cruise because we hear that the food is very good. We are sailing on Cunard in 62 days, but who is counting, because their Queens Grill has a good reputation for food. I’m very excited to cruise on Oceania, the Regatta, and hope the food is as good as it looks in all of the beautiful pictures posted here.
  19. To all the Canadian Cunarders who post here, Go Seattle Mariners!
  20. @Host Hattie How about a selfie of Biggles in your lap? The sun is just coming up, super hazy from smoke from a forest fire. We have an air quality alert through the weekend.
  21. Oops, even that could be read incorrectly - I am sitting in my big chair. You are cruising. Ugh…sorry for the confusion.
  22. @photosg I need to clarify my “sailing and reading along with you” - I am sailing virtually with you sitting in my big chair at home.
  23. @Cruise NH I went to the website and entered the information required. The quote came up as 110 pounds. I just read your question - my quote is from LHR to our hotel.
  24. @exlondoner Loving “Wear the tightest fitting first.” 🙂 🙂
