  1. Hello everyone, I'm thinking of booking in advanced Seattle Yellow Cab to pick us up at pier 91 on disembarkation day. With all the traffics, crowds, and there is also a line of taxis waiting there, does anyone know how it works if you book/reserve a taxi cab in advance. I meant how does the driver or us find out which cab is reserve for us unless we go one by one and ask. The reason I thought of booking a taxi in advanced because I heard that at pier 91, the taxis are the small Prius ones. Is this true? Our family with 3 adults 5 luggage (2 check-in and 3 carryons) Are there the full size sedan taxi at Pier 91 waiting ? Also do you think a Prius can fit us with the luggage ? Thanks
  2. Hello everyone, It's always when I book a cruise online directly through Royal Caribbean no matter how I put in the C&A numbers for the 2nd and 3rd guests, when the invoice is sent to me, it always missing the C&A number for the 2nd and 3rd guests (primary guest C&A is there) and I have to call RCI for them to put it in. It's been like that way and I was wondering if anyone out there is having the same issue and any work around besides calling RCI ? Thanks
  3. Thanks for the explaination, I'm glad she will still get the vouchers. 😀
  4. Unless things changed recently and I hope it doesn't change, but our daughter been getting free 4 drinks vouchers each day ever since they started with the 4 drink vouchers (all those sailings she were 14-17 years old) . She was able to use those vouchers outside of the diamond lounge, at bars getting non-alcoholic mixed drinks, Cafe Promenade coffee shop for specialty coffee (latte, cappuccino) and even at Johnny Rockets getting milk shake. Our last cruise was on the Allure August 2022.
  5. We can monitor if the ship scheduled to dock at Rail Rock dock aft will actual dock there or tender by using this live Marine Traffic map tracker along with the port schedule. https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-135.325/centery:59.448/zoom:15 https://claalaska.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/SKG-Skagway-2023.pdf
  6. I heard something about ships that scheduled to dock a Rail Rock aft will dock there and there are buses take passengers go past the construction and drop them off.
  7. Thank you for your inputs. I look at this website, it shows Ovation will dock at Rail Road Aft on June 12th. Like you mention, right now who knows until things get repaired and settled down. Talked with the owner of the shore excursion tour on the phone, she said 7:30am is do-able for us on that day. She also said she in this business for a long time and wouldn't have that schedule if it is not doable. https://claalaska.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/SKG-Skagway-2023.pdf
  8. this is from the Ovation, it may be the same on Quantum. It could be your worse cabin if you are a non-smoker
  9. Hello everyone, I'm going to be arriving on the Ovation of the Seas in Skagway on June 12th, 2023. I'm planning to book the White pass summit rail & Yukon Suspension Bridge excursion from a local company. This excursion starts with the train first and the depart time is 7:30 am. Our ship dock schedule is 7:00 am. With the rockslide being repair/construction and alternatives like the tendering. Do you think excursion departure at 7:30 am is doable with the ship docking at 7:00am. Keep in mind I'm booking this from a local company not from the ship. Thank you
  10. To use the port valet, I need to sign up early. After sign up for the port valet and if for any later on reasons and I changed my mind and not to use that service, can I cancel it ? If yes, how do I cancel it? Thanks
  11. Question for those who have recently been on Ovation of the Seas. Do they have pre-punched seapass cards left in your cabins on embarkation day? Or can they punch a hole on your seapass cards? On Ovation they use RFID cards wondering if they still punch holes or have pre-punched cards to figure out which type of lanyards to bring clip-on or pouch. Thanks
  12. free Wi-Fi is the faster one vs the basic slow Wi-Fi before SURF+STREAM Internet or price equivalent discount on any onboard internet purchase for 1-device only12
  13. Royal IT department is a mystery of it's own. When I look on the Royal App, I did pull up and select my sailing from Seattle in June.
  14. Thanks everyone, I checked RCI C&A website and it still says $14 for Diamond vouchers.
  15. Is the diamond voucher drink max still at $14 ? For my upcoming cruise on Ovation in June, I look on the Royal App and the menu from all of the bars, all of the usual cocktail/mixed drinks are $15. (exception beers) .
  16. to answer the original question "Will the higher prices per fare and unpopular changes in the MDR have you considering changing lines?" Not changing lines, but instead of take cruise vacation, do land vacation (non-cruise related)
  17. I booked Ovation of the Seas within itinerary arriving at Skagway on June 12th, 2023. So far no cancellation or anything news from RCI. From looking at the calendar seems like Ovation is going to dock at RRA on June 12th.
  18. This poll reminds me of the Church Lady
  19. housekeeping now is once a day, is there a certain time frame of the day they do it, morning, noon, afternoon, late afternoon evening etc.... Or once a day mean they guarantee your room will get clean once a day and they don't have a time frame. Just curious because sometimes you want to spend time rest and relax in your cabin without disturbance. Thanks
  20. The main limitation that I really don't like and it is confirmed from my friend who just got off the Allure last week. When ordering the main course, you can not order 2 main courses/ or bring it out at the same time. You have to finish one first, then you order/bring out the 2nd one. In this past you were able to order 2 main courses and they bring it out at the same time. Sometimes there are 2 main courses that go together/complement one another and would like to have them at the same time. Now you can not.
  21. Ovation has pre-punched cards already in the guest cabins when they are onboard first day? Thanks
  22. interesting fact, I think beside me, and who been cruising with RCI, I thought those people at the RCI terminal (beside the custom agents) also a reflection and represent of what RCI experience is and RCI should manage it.
