I was just sharing our experience at the start of Covid. And I never said we had no issues....we bagged up the trash and sheets in our cabin. We sailed around S. America for 19 days and we both had covid when we got home. Excuse me for sharing....I thought that's what these forums are for.

The Coral Princess as we floated around South America hoping any country would let us in....nope, They didn't. For 19 days we tried many ports and then when 2 people died onboard, we were all confined to our cabins until we got back to Miami. (Even Ft. Lauderdale wouldn't let us dock)

Hmmm? This is all so crazy! Testing positive for months? We tested positive for ANTIBODIES exactly a month after first testing positive for covid.

Ok...but we had no issues with dishes nor silverware and our entire ship was in quarantine. The only thing they ran short of was the trays that the food was delivered on....so they were very prompt in picking up our trays full of dirty dishes.

When we were on the Sky, Dec/Jan this year, we just paid the difference plus tax above the $12 limit.

A very valuable tool. I used ours on DH when we got covid post-cruise on the Coral. It helped guide us, along with our Doctor, whether to take him to the hospital or not. His O2 saturation fell to 90. If it went lower, I was instructed to take him to the hospital. Also, if you are traveling with others, a "no touch" thermometer is good to have with you since it can be shared by all. Obviously it will take up more space in your luggage than a regular small thermometer with covers. Just a thought. It's so great the way we can help each other out with suggestions.

I just paid $25 for a cake for DH birthday in July.... But maybe the OP will get lucky and get a free cake!

Did you use Future Cruise Deposits? That may explain the "50 pounds pp deposit". The Retirement celebration is probably just the sign on the door....let us know!

If you are allergic to Betadine, you probably shouldn't use this product.

Why would you be washing dishes? You put your dirty dishes (covered) outside your door.

I believe it is the same whether you book with a travel agent or not.

We're doing this cruise on 10/20 and we can't wait! Not going to worry about testing and such since it's still over 4 months away. We'll see how it all goes and what's required then. We've had Covid after being on the Coral when all this craziness started. We've been vaxed and double boostered!

I have only done one Celebrity cruise but found the choices of food limited, the portion size smaller but tasty compared to Princess. We find that most Princess food is good.

Is it me? I was thinking that if they increased the price of the drinks in the plus package, that would decrease the difference in the two packages? There would be less reason to purchase the Premier package...they would be too similar.

Agree! I only drink Grey Goose in my Dirty Martinis. I don't remember it being over $12 on the Sky but even if it was...that was ok and I paid the difference....that works! Hope it stays that way!
