That is when we bought our boat. I have had it now for 40 years, and our kids grew up on it and learned to ski behind it. Now our grandkids are enjoying the same boat. The nice thing about it is we are able to store it in one of our garages, and we don’t need to pay for storage fees each winter. The engine is pretty accessible to work on. Other than routine maintenance, it hasn’t needed anything major in all the years we have owned it. That is, till maybe this year. Have had a couple intermittent problems that they are trying to solve at the boat repair shop. Waiting for some parts to come in next week, and hopefully it will be fixed.

The key is pretty pricy on our sailing.

I was hoping that was the case. I have been talking with someone in my Fitbit walking group who lives in your area. Their house is at 12.5 feet, and they had water over their dock, but nothing more than normal summer storm damage. They left their boat secured and their house secured, since they are leaving for an Alaska cruise this week.

I remember seeing him on a couple different cruises. We did like him.

I too like to get those early check in times. Of course, my theory is the earlier you give them your bags, the earlier they will show up at your cabin. I won’t say it has usually worked out that way, because I don’t want to jinx it. I already have my reminder set for check in for our Symphony cruise, and check in is not till November 1.

He seemed to ignore the get out of jail card that was laying there. The boy sometimes has trouble thinking outside the box. 🤣

Susan and I had our boat out briefly yesterday. I hated to see the leaves starting to change, only because I know how many I will need to get rid of. It was still a beautiful day, though.

A Ricky update. He is getting better at his Monopoly strategy. He has even graduated to the role of banker.

Hope it is a great wedding, and everything goes as planned. Looking forward to seeing some photos. It looks like great weather for the weekend.

Add me to the same camp as Greg. Escargot and prime rib is usually my choice for the first night, although the prime rib was getting thinner before they reduced the menu choices. We often choose the chops filet on more than one night.

I know you are talking about fuel burn per hour for those. When those burn 130 gal/hr, I feel like I get a bargain when mine only burns 7 gal/hr.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I think we hit 90° today. Granddaughter is in the parade tomorrow, so we will be there, and enjoying some good music and festival time. Now that Susan and I don’t have our grandson here, we are spending more time on walks. Saw these two tonight. They lost almost all their spots.

Happy 9th birthday yo your granddaughter. Just dispose of them in yard waste. This is the year for the big crop, so I will have between 700 and 800 gallons of them by the time they are all down. Sorry to hear about your great aunt. I had an email from one of the ancestry sites today, and they were suggesting everyone tell some of their family stories, when together with family for Labor Day. As I continue with my family history book, There are things I discovered that I wish I would have known earlier, and been able to ask my parents and grandparents.

I just read that Royal Caribbean gave everyone free margaritas, between 5 and 6 today, in honor of Jimmy.

Two of my favorite drinks. We still haven’t managed to sail from that port yet. The first one we had booked from there, on Anthem, got canceled by Covid. The second one, we had to cancel due to family medical. I have been looking though, because our drive is about the same as yours. Following along.

Sorry to hear about Jimmy Buffet today. We too, enjoy his music and visit Margaritaville whenever we are near one. Not sure if my grandson has heard the news, but he is a true parrot head. I think he knows the lyrics to all of Jimmy’s songs.

It is only 49° at our house this morning. Speaking of good luck, it has been said that carrying an acorn in your pocket will bring you good luck. That being said, I already gathered seven “buckets of luck” from my yard yesterday. If anyone needs one, I am sure I could market them like Royal and sell them at 30% off.

We are on Symphony, December 16-24. An 8 night cruise to Aruba, Curaçao, and Labadee. This will be a cruise before the kids and grandkids all join us in Florida for the holidays.
