  1. This morning wasn’t too bad, and we got out for a five mile walk between rain showers. Saw these. Yes, there were more than two. IMG_6922.MOV
  2. We have had much the same here. We were out of town, and driving home just after the first storm hit. Lots of trees and branches down. It was like driving an obstacle course to get around them. Next door neighbor lost a big pine tree. Daughter had a big tree down in her yard. Wind picked up their Fisher Price playhouse and moved it about 50 feet. Nothing but some branches down at our house. This is minor stuff, compared to what’s going on in Mississippi.
  3. I hate waiting for appointments, and usually try to get early morning ones. I did have something happen this week, that has never happened before. I had a heart CT scan scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, and they said to come early to fill out paperwork. They were able to do the scan as soon as my paperwork was done, and I was actually done and back home by the time the appointment was scheduled for. I wish all appointments would go that smoothly.
  4. Girl Scout cookies. Never buy them, because they would be too tempting around the house. If they are not around, we won’t be eating them. We just give them a donation, whenever we see them. Same thing with the Boy Scouts selling candy. Just a donation, so we won’t have candy around.
  5. I like it much better when they have the umbrellas up. In fact, the umbrellas is the photo I used for my exercise challenge group this week. Those footprints must have symbolized something.
  6. We will be deck 6 dwellers on Symphony in December. Since we don’t do elevators, it is easier to get the bags down for a walkoff.
  7. It was okay, but I still prefer the ones with Myron or Win. Story line was somewhat predictable. One thing I noted, was the typeface was hard to read in my copy from the library. I know publishers have been using different fonts that use less ink. For some reason, after reading a while, my eyes would get blurry. I thought it was just me, but Susan read the book after I finished, and she had the same problem. My next read, that I just got from the library, is this one. I guess I am misunderstanding your comment, or maybe you meant to quote someone else. My post was “Have a great cruise. We like Summit. Post some photos if you get a chance. Heck, post some videos, or live stream the cruise so we can feel like we are there. We are, after all, the unfortunate souls who have been left behind from the FOB cruise and now this one.” Anyhow, I would have made that cruise if things were different for us.
  8. Two years out is even difficult for those of us who do not work. Early last year, I may not have given it a second thought to book one that far out. However, after dealing with 5 cancelled cruises, it has left me somewhat gun shy. We just now got the last of our FCCs from those cruises. Maybe by next year, we will be able to look at that sailing. In the meantime, we have booked Symphony from Ft. Lauderdale, 8 nights 12/16/23-12/24/23, going to Labadee, Aruba, and Curaçao. If anyone is looking for something before Christmas……
  9. Was looking at the artwork from the bird show, and some of those prices. I think we got a better deal on the painting we just bought from a new impressionist. Only $100! Tried to talk the artist down a little, but he was firm. Oh, did I mention he is 10, and my grandson. 😂 And Susan just paid for another original today, that is getting made into a beach towel.
  10. A few years ago, I got a dvd for Christmas, that had the top 10 best Pens game. Although we would go to five or less a year, somehow I fortunate enough to be at six out of the 10. Probably the most memorable of the bunch for me was Mario’s comeback game.
  11. You guys are early with taxes. There is almost a month left to do them. I have mine mostly done, but still waiting on a couple things to enter, before they are finished.
  12. +1 I have taken a couple of Covid tests in the last week, both negative. Sometimes a cold is just a cold. Have to be at my daughter’s house this morning, while a new furnace is installed. Everyone enjoy their first day of spring.
  13. I have a slightly used bottle of kraken that I would gladly trade for yours. Somehow mine got used trying to keep up at home this week.
  14. The Pens have been frustrating to watch this year. I can’t believe we are hanging on by a thread to a wild card slot.
  15. At the risk of sounding repetitive, thanks for entertaining us at home this week. Safe travels home to all, for a well deserved rest from working so hard on vacation.
