  1. The referral credit of $250 is not combinable with the $300 OBC directly from Seabourn. Since the $300 is a better deal, your friends will not benefit from your referral. HOWEVER, you can still refer each of the 3 couples now and get credit for your 3 referrals . You could either apply 2 of the referrals to this cruise, and get $500 OBC in place of the $300 Seabourn is currently giving you and get a certificate for the final $250 OBC. Or you could keep the current $300 on this cruise and receive 3 certificates for $250 each, that you can use on future Seabourn cruises. The certificates are good for 2 years.

  3. There is no Patio Grill on the Pursuit/Venture, but there is an outdoor dining area aft of the Colonnade. We ate breakfast and lunch out there on most days; only a few were too inclement to eat outside. In fact, when we said hello to you in the Colonnade, we had come in from eating outside and asked the Hostess if she could show us who you were.
  4. The daily Herald, both printed and in the app, show the hours for each dining venue. On the 16 sea days on our recent Odyssey cruise, the Restaurant was open for breakfast and lunch. We walked through breakfast one day, and perhaps 10 people were dining. We went to lunch several times, and at most there were 20 diners. Often, at the end of a cruise, groups such as trivia teams or bridge players, have lunch or dinner together at large tables in the Restaurant. Trivia teams especially may come to lunch after the noon trivia. Our 22 member baggo group more than doubled the lunchtime diners!
  5. It is now towards the end of the first 4 sea days (with 2 time changes); 2 more days and 1 time change until Hawaii. The ocean has been big and calm. The new orange juicer:
  6. @lincslady Lola, Yes, they are great. The new sofa is comfortable. We can still see the old imprints in the rug.
  7. We boarded the Odyssey yesterday in Los Angeles, for the 32 day cruise across the Pacific to New Zealand. We have been to Los Angeles and Auckland before; all the other ports are new for us. There are 315 guests and 362 crew members on board. The feeling and energy at the sail away was really great. It is surprising to us how many people chose a 32 day cruise for their first time on Seabourn. The Odyssey looks good. There are new carpets in the corredors on some decks, and new chairs and sofa in our suite. A&P
  8. The upgrade offers we have received have come directly from Seabourn, not from the several travel agents we have used to book the cruises.
  9. I tried your advice on both of our upcoming sailings and it did not work. On the first sailing, our names appeared but there was no availability. On our second sailing, there was no link at present time. Thanks anyway!
  10. In December 2016, before our Odyssey transatlantic, we used We Hate Tourism Tours for a day trip to Sintra and Cascais. It was supposed to be 4 people. but the other couple did not show up, so we had a private tour. There was some walking involved, but the "group" went at our pace! 🤭. You should be able to discuss your needs with them and get the tour you want. We had a very nice young man guiding us, and they seem to have good ratings. Photo of the tour van below.
  11. Apparently some people really need their "brain freeze". Yes, there are appropriate blenders on board. We are not sure about all bars, but the Patio and Sky bars have them.
  12. To answer your question specifically about the Venture cruise, if you are on the 11 day August 4, 2024 cruise to Greenland, and not the longer cruise with many Iceland ports, the only port with additional excursions will be Heimaey. On our Venture cruise there were both included and extra cost excursions. Do not know why there are none listed at this time. In the other locations, as you surmised, all excursions (zodiac and on shore) are included.
  13. It is a good thing that Cricket does not have bases, or else we would also have to find out who is on first ...
  14. Yes, we always have. Was writing this as yeah!!! responded first. Rather than "third party", the problem is when a "travel agent provided" OBC is really coming from Seabourn. In that case, you have to choose one or the other. If the credit is actually being provided by the agent, AMEX, anyone else, (and I guess CCL), it is combinable with the referral credit.
  15. Did/does TK have different standards and requirements for the Grill and for the TK nights at the Colonnade? We have eaten outside during the TK-special nights at the Colonnade. However, we understand that Encore/Ovation do not have the "required TK-approved" fryer and therefore cannot serve TK fried chicken. It would appear that some requirements apply to the Colonnade, but perhaps not all. As a side note, we enjoy the TK nights in the Colonnade, but have not had any really good dinners in the Grill. Lola, many chefs from Asia/India can cook other cuisines very well, maybe even better than they can cook their "native" dishes.
  16. Obviously, we all do not know this, or else RetiredandTravel would not have asked the question. What we all do know is that you do not like buffets, and will avoid them if at all possible. Your ISSUE of a very short menu ignores the changing daily specials, and the availability of being served the dishes from the buffet, which usually include the same dishes available in the Restaurant that day plus additional ones. In addition, you can request any dish you might like, and if possible, it will be prepared for you.
  17. You can sit at a table and have waiter service in the Colonnade at both breakfast and lunch. A full breakfast menu is offered. At lunch, you can be served the specials of the day, usually a fish and a pasta, or request to be served dished available on the buffet. The made to order Caesar salad should be easy to request with chicken.
  18. We were on the Quest Montreal to Miami, October-November 2018, on the cruise that Earth and Ocean was inaugurated on this ship. It was cold but great!
  19. Sky, (can we call you sky?) we visited Heimaey in September on the Venture. Since it looks like we will have 32 day together on the Odyssey, we should be able to find some time to show you our photos. 🤔 Ann & Peter
  20. We have stayed in 521 on the Odyssey, and had no noise from the elevators.
  21. Have your travel agent speak to Seabourn. We have been able to get the suite we wanted under the conditions you cited.
  22. Yes. Just go to Seabourn Square when you board and ask. The refund will show as refundable OBC in your on board account. If you do not spend it on board, it will be refunded to your credit card. We have done this many times, most recently in April.
  23. It has been raining in Saratoga, which has helped a bit with the air quality.
