Referral Coupon Thread- This is the only one!

Hi J80crew. It is not too early for us. Please email us at flyingscotsailors "at" gmail "dot" com and we can give you the details. Do you actually crew on a J80? We have been to J-World twice, and believe a J80 actually has rounded edges! -
Have you also sent an email to GuestServices@seabourn.com ?

Suite Life promotion or book on board
FlyingScotSailors replied to Vineyard View's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
Almost! 😉 The FCD is $500 US per person (or similar amounts for those who book in other currencies). There is no limit that we know of on the number of FCDs you can purchase at one time. -
Suite Life promotion or book on board
FlyingScotSailors replied to Vineyard View's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
The on-board future cruise consultant may have some earlier access to information about cruises. Also, you may find value in an in-person face to face discussion about future cruises. The main advantage is the 5% discount. Just to emphasize a point made my wesport, instead of an on-board booking, you can make a future cruise deposit (FCD) that will give you a 5% discount when making a booking in the next 4 years. The advantage of this over booking on-board is that you can use any travel agent to book, and avail yourself of further discounts, rebates, or perks offered. The FCD is fully refundable. -
Thanks Ed.

2SailingNomads and purpleally, why do your travel agents have access to your investment records, so they can show that you currently own Carnival stock?
-
On Monday morning we emailed our proof of Carnival stock ownership at 10:16 AM. We received the automatic receipt response at 1:22 PM, and a confirmation of OBC at 3:42 PM. In the past, it has generally taken 3 or 4 days for a response with the OBC. This less than 6 hour process maybe is to make up for your delays. 🤥

No, you do not read the description correctly. There will be daily zodiac landings, conditions permitting. Since the Quest has a little over 400 passengers in Antarctica, there will usually be one landing per day, in order to comply with the 100 passengers ashore at the same time limit. We have done other expedition cruises with two landings per day, but did not feel deprived in any way by "having" to spend time on the Quest before/after the landing, with "nothing to do" except watch the scenery and wildlife, sometimes from a hot tub with drink in hand.

Venture - Iceland/Greenland voyage - advice please.
FlyingScotSailors replied to Dusko's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
Hi Dusko, We have not had any problems getting in and out of Zodiacs on multiple cruises. We had mostly dry landings. Wet landing are usually ankle or possibly shin deep and two or three steps to the land. Remember, the boots are included on Venture. The Venture team will discuss the hikes and will tell you if they are difficult or not. We did not do any hikes and many of the city walks were up hill both ways.🤔 All were very manageable. We did the included bus tour on Heimay and several city walks. The walking tour to the Viking ruins at Hvalsey was fairly short, uneven and marshy but very doable. By the way, the trip back from Greenland to Iceland was not that terrible.😊 Perhaps other concerns are addressed in the thread listed below. You will love the Venture and all the beauty of Iceland and Greenland. Have a wonderful trip. A&P https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2878981-live-again-from-the-venture/#comment-63900073 -
Thanks for the link Jazz. We saw it first on the Water Cooler. We have been in Oban several times, and are booked to be there in September 2023 on the Lord of the Highlands.

Silversea Water Cooler: Welcome! Part Five

We have eaten at the Pelican Seafood Market in Ottawa and it was excellent. The above mentioned restaurant is not a diner, drive thru, or dive, but you can tease Mysty all you want. Further, Guy Fieri does not know that a "dive" refers to a usually dirty, run-down, and questionable establishment. A "dive bar", contrary to Guy, is not a funky or quaint bar, but a place where scuba divers hang out. -

Formal dress on Exhibition cruise
FlyingScotSailors replied to Folkfan13's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
We were quite surprised that our Venture expedition cruise to Greenland in September had two formal nights during the two week cruise, the same as all Seabourn (non-expedition) cruises. We would expect that the Venture in Antarctica would be similar and that you would need a "sport coat or better" for the Restaurant on formal nights. Your cruise documents should list " two formal nights". -
There are more choices than those eight. You can search this Board for previously posted included lists. The actual availability on board varies from cruise to cruise, and sometimes during a cruise, depending on supply and delivery, (and on how much the guests drink!). Ask the Sommelier for a list of the included wines when you board. It usually takes a day for the new deliveries to be checked and added to the list. There is almost always a NZ Sauvi B or two.

Virtually any drink or cocktail will be included, and you should be asked if something would have an extra charge. Once in the Observation Lounge I asked for a blood and sand. The bartender asked if I meant the $29 "Blue Blood and Sand cocktail. I said no, an included scotch was fine, rather than the Johnnie Walker Blue. That top shelf included too.

From the five links, hit the middle one "Experiences", then hit the "Dining & Drinks" link. (This will get you to the same screen that margbem's suggestion below takes you to; you just have to scroll down the Home screen to find “Gourmet Dining” and “view more”.) Now, under Lounges, hit either The Club and scroll down to the "Club Menu" button or Observation Lounge and the "Drinks Menu" button. Scroll through the pages to find the various lists. Do not be afraid to come back here and ask more!
-
David, did you scroll down to page 4 of the Observation drinks list? There was a very old Chartreuse on the revenue list but we believe the standard expressions are included. Pretty sure there is Sambuca; you could request a bottle for your suite in advance. We sometimes drink sauterne or port with dessert. Worst case, you will have to drink anisette. 🙃
