  1. Your cabin mate doesnt have to check in with you. Everyone has their own account.
  2. Not exactly but you cant dispute until the current billing cycle has closed. Ie. If your billing closes the 10th of each month, then after that you can dispute. Then it's actually charged. I worked disputes for amex... I would take screen shots and contact, mbayley@rccl.com to get it fixed. They are quick to respond.
  3. Anytime up until you board. No set time.
  4. Allure is boarding a hour late tomorrow. Things are still a little slow.
  5. But there is something to be said for allowing all sides to be heard and allowed to voice their opinion without attacking or judging them. I'm for open minded discussion. Even for the ones not pleased. Let them be heard too. Tough times for many. I cruise for the convenience. I still remember how carnival treated me when hurricane IKE hit Galveston and I was travelling with 2 HC folks which caused a lot of extra grief and carnival was terrible. Havent trusted them since .. rcl at least is trying.
  6. I got sound in my PR cabin and had to turn off the speakers for announcements. The button to turn off the low sound coming is is next to the plug ins over the desk. ..turn off the announcements and the piped in sound all the time goes away. Worked for me.
  7. I think I read you DO get full pts for the 7 days. .. And sounds like when you board you will get more obc for hotel etc. See above.
  8. Wow I agree, that's huge. Thanksgiving isnt that much more expensive. If they got $400, then anything else this cruise I agree is gravy.
  9. How much $$$ was offered. .. I agree with you about the cost of a extra night of hotel for those who should be boarding tomorrow but also $250 probably wouldnt pay my refaring on a nonrefundable american fare. I just want to know about coco cay .... if you have no idea .. then why post it ?
  10. Where do you see what they got for missing coco cay? I'd be interested in knowing. I've missed ports this year for weather and gotten nothing. Please post what they got for missing coco cay.
  11. Same rules apply to uber in any terminal in Galveston since they dont pay the fee to enter. Prepare to walk from outside the port if you use uber. ..with lower prices.
  12. I read that on wifi pkgs they will automatically charge you 50% of what you paid unless you cancel. Lol. And unlimited dining does get a discount. Oh boy.
  13. Typically to get a refund you have to submit the positive covid test. Keep a copy.
  14. I'm not defending how reimbursement is done, I do think corporate needs a policy and treat each ship the ship. I wrote to them and said they needed a written policy but I'm sure they dont care.
  15. I'd be more worried about the airfare to change planes. I'm booked American nonrefundable next spring. I know if you book with pts and stuff may be nothing extra to pay, but I'm pretty sure I'd have to pay a lot more now to change. My fare has almost doubled. I hear of 1k extra fares. The cost of a extra night of hotel by a airport is probably a lot less than I'd be hit with. A bad situation for all. Also most of carnivals brands issue a refund as obc if a port is missed no matter the reason. Rcl says up to the ship and if its weather they can keep your port fees. Unlucky pax so far. Going to be some unhappy.
  16. If you were already booked, planner items were on sale on some cruises. My oasis cruise had 50% off the triller and beach area. Some others. My radiance had 35% off most excursions, other cruises not so much. $600 off rather than $550, some decent rates, some not.
  17. Since you get a extra day there isnt anything to pro rate. I'd expect some money toward changing my flights.
  18. I wouldnt pick a cabin below or above a bar. You will get noise. @Ourusualbeachalways knows lol.
  19. At least this is after the holiday, and sunday night as you said not as hard typically to get a hotel, but florida is going into season.. though orlando is cheap .. just not the beach area by the port. I'm crossing my fingers for flying to Miami for oasis during spring break. If something like this goes haywire wouldnt be cheap or easy to rebook smack dab during miami spring break. Holidays aren't a good time for this. Sorry for the folks both directions. The higher fare for a family could be expensive to rebook. Thanksgiving typically starts season in south florida. I used to live in boca and every price doubled.
  20. I dont think it's the next cruise as big of a concern as those on this cruise who will miss their flights. Already I'm hearing could be rain delays tomorrow pushing some into sunday to scramble ... and now these folks. Maybe if the weather impacts they can change flights no charge. I'm booked nonrefundable American to and from miami. I'd be concerned. Being Thanksgiving weekend might make it harder to reschedule flights home. If I was there and had to wait and I'm sure get some compensation... as long as I was there I wouldnt be as worried.
  21. But a week ago there were excursions 35% off. Some are filling up and less now. One I booked at 35% off is now 15% off. ...the low price probably had lots booking it. Now the best I see is 30% off, same as you see.
  22. The best discounts were last friday. A week later they are drying up fast even on the ones that were discounted. My radiance started out most at 35% off ... the one I had booked apparently was most popular and 15% off. .. now they are all going down down down. The 35% only lat 24 hours. And I have 9 booked, the other 8 were discounted very little.
  23. "Apparently this incident took place near the play scape and it’s still close. The woman was cut off so clearly inebriated and fell up or down the stairs breaking her orbital bone."
  24. Someone above mentioned which bone, sounded like the eye bone that needed operating on. I'd have wanted to come back to florida for rhe operation, guess it couldnt wait. Yep a lot will miss their flights.
  25. Why assume a inside cabin is cold lol. Odd assumptions. I'm solo and dont care after over 50 cruises. I can walk up to the pool once I wake up. Rarely get seasick. Solo I'd rather sit where there are other people when I'm awake. Not by myself on a balcony.
