  1. You will have to let us know if you liked it. I'm not sure if it was grandeur or the shorter cruises that soured me on shorter cruises ...even b2b and same or more days. Indy is a nice ship. Lol the title confused me too. I was ready to read about things moving about in his cabin.
  2. What info? Never used walgrens to test before. This was the one and only time. Yes I filled out the appointment but they didnt ask for drivers license or insurance. Other than what I filled out with my name phone number what would they have on file if i never used them that I'm aware of. I use krogers to fill prescriptions. Walgrens didnt know me. I used CVS the other 4 times. .. Cvs I heard didnt do travel so this one and only time I went to walgrens. Not a store i shop at, how would walgrens have my info on file? I'm saying the test wasnt secure. Believe what you want. If you just wanted to know if you have covid i can see it's fine, but for travel anyone could have driven up and taken it in my place. It was just a free test they emailed the results to the email i used to sign up at their site. I've never shopped there and used this address before. Not in the last 10 years. No idea why you think somehow they would have information on me other than what I gave them to sign up for the free test here. There is a free drive thru near me too they email results. Still open but not getting much business. Again if they dont check my ID how do you assume they would know it's the persons whose name the test is done in. No ID, no insurance card shown. Or provided when i signed up. Free test anyone can take when I did it for my may cruise. No ID uploaded. None shown when I drove up. 3rd time I've said this. If people want to make believe its secure ok. Mine wasnt.
  3. The email had my name and birthday and whatever yes but anyone could have given my birthday at the window. They asked thru the drive in window what time was my appointment and I said 10 am and then they came back and asked for my birthday and sent the swab thru the bank window type thing for me to swab my nose and send it back. I cou,d have sent anyone and the test be emailed back to me in my name. No security whatsoever. No wonder they quit doing tests to travel for free. They dont know what I look like so without showing a I'd how would they know if it was me or not taking the test.
  4. Hahahaha I know which show you mean with the whip. I skip it every time too. Just not my thing. It's been on liberty I think every time. I have cats to look forward to on oasis I think. I did oasis twice when it was almost brand new and it had hair spray. Have oasis booked with john next march.
  5. Actually I could have had someone else take my last covid test at walgrens. I made the appointment on their site, just my name and address and email. When I got there they asked me my birthday and never asked for ID. No insurance. Anyone knowing my birthday could have taken the test. Results were emailed and off I went.
  6. I never heard of this rule. Nope men are wearing shorts even on dress your best night.
  7. maybe I need the chase app. I'm looking online and says 3 messages but nothing opens. I'll look again but online nothing came up. Thanks
  8. different ports trump the perks on rcl once in a while. I'd do the 8 day to the private island if the price was right and fit into what I've booked. I'd love the 14 day easterns out of Galveston but prices imo are just crazy. My friend has a balcony this fall on dream for $5900. .. I'll wait for dan 2024. The 2 eastern look great but prices are too high. I'll fly to florida before I'd pay those prices. Hoping for a deal . I keep looking. Carnival seems to have taken analyst advice about firming up prices. Luckily I can hop on last minute.
  9. That's what I was thinking. They were gone before covid but I cant remember when. Imo carnival shows they cut way back and usually the comedy shows are better. Dont feel bad on rcl a tablemate wore shorts to their elegant night. It's a sign of the times. Agree they should have paper back up to the app. In the steak house the waiter scolded a couple in their 80s and told them they needed to learn how to scan and refused to bring us or them a paper menu. Very rude.
  10. I tried to see offers on my care but only see things like auto loans I have no interest in. Would it be there? I dont see anything for carnival.
  11. Boarding lunch and wifi for each pax in the cabin.
  12. And celebrity now has some solo rates but not out of Galveston where I would have to fly but wouldnt have to pay for the extras for 2. There are some very good celebrity solo rates right now. My TA has rcl group rates that are refundable and a little to a lot cheaper and I get my balcony discount. If I book direct I dont get my balcony discount. So extra $250 off and refundable. So he might have a total price of harmony inside $1159 or city park balcony $1199, less than $50 difference because of my balcony discount. Plus its refundable. $1199 is the highest of the 3 harmony in my signature. Jubilee is over $1200 lowest inside. TAs get special group pricing on rcl that is always refundable. If carnival had this I'd have more carnival. They are letting rcl out price them. But a TA is needed. Carnival the price posted is pretty much the price. I didnt do well with radiance, but I wanted Panama and Columbia. $550 × 2 is the best he could do for 10 days. I have carnival dream 14 days for the same reason, the ports. From Galveston. I just dont want to fly. Adds stress. Yes I could fly to florida and get the ports I will see on dream but it's so much easier to drive. I'm paying $518 to fly to miami next spring break. I think air fare right now has to be considered. And the same ticket on American is now $642. Idk how people cannot factor in airfare.
  13. after the next 2 cruises this sept, rcl gives me a 25% solo discount making the price gap even larger when I price carnival out of Galveston. With all the flight commotion I'm still not wanting to fly, but flying net spring break to meet some float away poters on oasis, cant apply my 25% discount until after sept pts post. My issue with carnival is they arent good to solos and seem to have decided the more in a cabin the better. I think I liked ncl the best. Not sure which ships. Breakaway and getaway maybe and a older ship. Even solo cabins are not a value .. prima coming to Galveston. I'll wait for last minute when they knock off the extras like flight for 2nd pax. Wish carnival gave me free drink vouchers and free wifi. I miss those when I do carnival and have to pay for them. I have carnival stock. Got me twice wrong. Doesnt help its back down so much. So I'm ok with keeping carnival prices so much higher than rcl. Galveston has always been a good port for carnival, a cash cow.
  14. I started with princess, and did 3 on her. Princess left the Galveston market so I branched out to carnival and got tired of their food and alternated with rcl. I've done 3 on ncl, also celebrity and big red boat .. trying to remember. You mention value and cost. With carnival bringing in jubilee as their 7 day cruise, they went higher than rcl. I can book allure and harmony for less. While I will book jubilee not now at current prices. 4 of the 5 on allure and harmony are lower than I can book jubilee, and 3 of those are inside city park balconys. My boardwalk costs a bit more but within $50. When I'm on carnival I miss free offee in diamond club, 5 vouchers a day for drinks and my free wifi. Just being honest carnival is more expensive unless I book shorter cruises which i wasnt very satisfied with. I booked carnival dream 14 days because it's out of Galveston and goes to new ports ... same reason as radiance 10 day next January. Group rates start at $1100 (10 days) vs jubilee where I dont have access to cheaper rates and starts at $1098. I did enjoy NVL and the food. I'd do ncl again and will. Princess and celebrity fine but nothing special. I dont like celebrity went to all inclusive and feel like I'm paying tips and drinks etc for 2.
  15. grandeur did a few days during my 4 legs of cooking mussels and shrimp in stock, kinda stir fired without veggies. I'm so so on mussels I think. Another lunch cuban sandwiches, another was pasta day, philly cheese steaks. I hate pasta but tried all the rest. One night at this station I think was some kind of steak and eggs. Grandeur was more inventive than liberty..
  16. We had themes nightly on both liberty and grandeur. I think grandeur won for themed nights for me.
  17. We had a themed night in WJ every night. Personally I love dinner there. I only saw oriental 1 night with pork belly as the carving item and oriental duck which was good. Caribbean night has meat patties and beans and rice and cooked plantains I like. USA night had 5 inch hamburgers with all the extra trimmings even bacon . Lots of extras and I like fries in WJ that dont come with much in Mdr. They did crepes one night with sauce like strawberry and chocolate and chocolate chips and other stuff. Even make your own nachos on Mexican night. Enchiladas
  18. I've only read of 2 incidents. It seems like a over reaction to demand cruiselines do something to make people behave better. The whole country is having incidents. Crime is up on land. Not surprising its spilled over a bit.
  19. I'd have to go and look but ben and Jerry's is 6305, so anything aft of that cabin toward back elevator, that side of the ship. And aft is awesome. I just sat and watched the aft all day.
  20. How can you beat a corner aft view. Had this the week before the picture above. Loved it. My vote for best balcony. This is deck 9 for 2 people. Deck 7 bigger balconys for 3 or 4.
  21. I like to be where I face the cafe and can see what's going on, deck 6 where I can run down 1 set of stairs. I'm over the cafe in this pic from liberty. Booked late I guess. Had a non connecting and there are fewer of them.
  22. Fresh squeezed oj is only during breakfast. Idk there are specialty restaurants open then? I'm sure you can order whatever is available same as if I want a coke I can order in the Mdr. I generally dont like to bother them but I'm sure you can.
