I do know a watch was reported that was over the $800 personal limit and he was called aside. I think cigarettes would be much harder to monitor. They would have to mark anyone who bought more than a carton, not knowing if you have family to help carry them off. I'd buy again. ..but that's me. The desk would need a picture of the people who bought more and be watching for them.

The main time someone wants a 3rd entree I bet is lobster night. Some wants 3 lobsters. ..even if nothing else, skip the appetizer and dessert. I'm all about the lobster. Though 3 is a bit much for me I bet many men can eat 3 lobsters.

We had a bad experience in the steakhouse too. Someone with me asked for a paper menu and got lectured on learning how to do qr codes. The couple next to us was mid 80s and got the same lecture and neither could get a paper menu. We ordered from memory. He was very rude. I guess if I get my surf and turf I was happy with the food but service stunk.

I ate with a lady and her daughter who ordered every single entree and appetizer on carnival. Everyone else at the table fled. I should have. They would take a bite or two and then shove it aside. There are people who go too far. I'm good with the change. Always the buffet. I'd say rcl steak is similar quality. But I'm not a expert. Its $64 but they have lots of sales and I get bogo, buy one get one free every cruise. So half.

I got the email too. Only thing I really loved was the lobster rolls and JiJis..though I did love the steak house I hit up twice. Go look at rcl and you will feel better. I always order the surf and turf. I know I should change it up but it's just so good at the steak place. Just right sized. Rcl no longer offers a surf and turf. There is a upcharge for a 1.5 lb lobster .. on top of the price. ....though on rcl I do get bogo ... maybe carnival will add some loyalty discount some day. But I loved eating their cheaper pay restaurants on carnival. To me quite the deal. Sorry it's going up. But still good.

Around final payment all the group space TAs are holding goes back. Rates often drop right after. I wouldnt have bought this is the very last cabin if they said that... just the last right then. Good ,luck. Carnival doesnt usually allow downgrading.

I love lido deck. Ov is nice but you will do a lot of waiting for the elevator. This is deck 2 next to cove balconies. I did enjoy the window too but love lido. I often book deck 2 port holes. I'm solo so probably not for a couple but I like to see the weather when I wake up too.

On the ship for sure. I have priced out all the ports I think. Jamaica had some unknown brand a dollar or two less. I've read foreign made cigarettes also often dont taste the same. Really hard to beat prices onboard. Try the duty free in cozumel but I didnt find cheaper. Note only one carton is allowed by customs so if you do one of those buy 3 get 1 free deals, hide them in your suitcase. Customs never searched your suitcase. I was buying for a neighbor who was dying. Before someone lectures me.

I'm with you as I also do carnival and if you overpay they give you obc. If I lay for cayman jamaica and cozumel and get changed to cozumel costa maya and roatan and port fees drop carnival gives you back the difference. I wrote to mbayley and they said since they dont charge if fees go up they dont refund if port fees go down. .. admitting sometimes fees are less than they collected, they just dont refund. I wrote the 2nd time because they also didnt dock in costa maya. Waves too rough last march. I have the email. .. they dont refund if port fees drop. Per mbayley office.

I agree, when they dont know theh make up a answer. Like I asked the diamond ambassador back a ways why liberty doesnt have the drink machines and was told covid. Not believable as other ships had them before covid. Many times I've heard them make up answers.

Why not just go up by the pool or is it you want to socialize? I always see plenty up by the pool. Lol ncl prima is coming to Galveston but costs about double. Until prices come down there isnt anything I'd pay double to do on prima. ..waiting.

It says 2 bottles per cabin up to 750 ml. They might but why push the rule. I'd want to be sure.

Sounds made up to me. Twice I've been booked for grand Cayman Jamaica and cozumel and changed to the lower port fees itinerary so to me already overcharged $20 or so and then we missed costa maybe. I paid like $142 for what later showed as $127 I think. .. and then one port missed. We had 6 ft waves and couldnt dock and got nothing refunded. Carnival refunds for missed ports. I agree with the OP it's almost misappropriation to collect port fees that arent used and no obc. We did fall into the weather related mentioned above rcl doesnt refund for.

Easy to get cards changed at customer service. The one pit fall as you mention is everyone in the cabin has ro purchase the drink pkg. Yes I know one can call and get refreshment but still expensive. Also I've seen more than one thread where the friends backed out.. .that will be a problem if you dont want to get stuck with 2 cabins.

I think Galveston and rcl are doing some special big deal for 3 days for special invitees. The rcl big wings will be onboard.

People buy one pkg for 4 users. That's why its offered.

It's not a 7 am docking time. The ship will dock earlier. Has to be cleared by the coast guard. Galveston told me 8 am but I was doing walk off by 730. Usually a bit earlier than they say. I'd like to neve book before noon but booked 11 21 am after a cruise next spring break. I know that's cutting it close. I'll probably have to get a cab, but unless the ship is late best non stop flight so I'm taking my chances flying home. Ha. Getting to miami I have a stop in new orleans. I'll wave.

Not sure why you think solo cannot book a balcony. Maybe you didnt like the solo supplement. I cruise solo in balconys all the time. Of course solo can book whatever they are willing to pay double for. Almost always double the shown fare. Check 3 cabins price and 2. Sometimes solo is cheaper than a cabin for 3. Maybe meriom mom is right and you have to put a 2nd fake pax name on it. @Ourusualbeachwill know if solo can book a balcony on icon. I just never heard of such a restriction if I'm willing to pay double.

You can ask for a can of soda at any bar and if they have it you can get it. No rule says you cant. The machine is just another quick soda option. Ask for a can. I have. PS coke, coke zero and diet coke assuming they have them and didnt run out. Oh no. All 3.
