  1. Just DL the files you want while you can. Quite possible that being able to view them is only temporary.
  2. Price drops, not really. In most cases they become a cancel/lose deposit/rebook which can work in your favour. In most cases though, their genuine discounting comes into play for undersold cruises after final payment date, when no longer practical to cancel/rebook. Often the flash sales can just be reduced deposit and OBC, and not much of a drop in the usual fare.
  3. Our T/A beat the Princess email by a couple of hours. The image of the itineraries doesn't view very well when zoomed-up, but they do match the NZ list you posted earlier and had no Aussie pricing. Anyway, speculation over. There is a couple of cruises there for us, but I am sad to see Coral departing. She makes for a great year-round Aussie ship.
  4. I hope the divers are well. I wonder if they asked them to inspect the hull before they let them aboard.
  5. About 6 months or so, I recall. Depends how old the email is. If it is an Exetel email, it should be good. I will check when I get home from the salt mines.
  6. Oh well, so far I have picked out a boring short birthday cruise on Diamond in early '25. Might yet go the 11-night combo instead. Maybe a little one on Royal, but can't seem to line up a Crown one to fit our schedule. Holy ship @cheznandy, that will be my scary old man birthday, for someone born the same year as Princess.
  7. The Pacific is a bit of a mess for cruise ships ATM. More restrictions on ships, including travel insurance, beetles, damaged wharves, and usual stops that are now reluctant to accept ships. I think there is also a move to prevent Princess from stepping on the toes of sister brands that are struggling to fill their ships - so Carnival or P&O become the island ships.
  8. All of the cruise lines do boring itineraries. Same-o year in, year out. We were lucky to get Coral when we did. It was only that long exotic cruises were impossible to plan around the pandemic, and she had to cruise somewhere. I doubt she will be sold off, as there is really no secondary market for her to go to. So many of the ships sold a couple of years ago are still sitting idle awaiting plans from their owners. I think Coral will return to her "exotic" itineraries, which will include Panama & South America. The final date for Coral in Fremantle is seriously doubtful. After her scheduled drydock in Singapore, I expect she will move on to her new homeport instead of returning to Fremantle.
  9. Apparently, Aussie T/A's get their release info overnight into Wednesday.
  10. It will be interesting to see what the 2026 stats show. Whitsunday Coast somewhere near Proserpine will do me if we can afford it when we retire.
  11. It is a significant issue, not to be sneezed at. A couple of months back, there was a shortage of tissues on supermarket shelves, so it is possible they ran out of supplies. Hard to figure the face washer issue though, unless they were all being used as part of a towel animal invasion.
  12. I am not so sure it is from Sydney & Melbourne to Brisbane. It has been a long-standing trend that you work till retirement in Sydney, then sell up your real estate equity to retire to northern NSW or QLD coast. 2021 has anomalies around numbers of people moving to escape repeated city-wide lockdowns in Melbourne & Sydney, but I am surprised Annastasia let that many people cross the border.
  13. The Circle Pacific or Circle Indian were last done when there were 2 ships based here year-round. I can't see them fitting one in before Crown's world cruise, and she looks to be the only ship to be 100% based here.
  14. It looks like half the year out of Japan and other Asian ports for Diamond, so I figure the bathhouse and rinsing toilets will remain.
  15. Lots of US passengers do the crossing and B2B with the lap around Oz as well.
  16. Correct, next season has Royal & Majestic, but only Princess knows how the bookings look for next summer. They had intended Royal & Discovery for 24/25, but Discovery has disappeared from the port bookings to be replaced by Crown - that is not speculation. Coral has also disappeared for 2024/25, and Grand Class can do the new Panama locks, so why not. Itineraries will be out next week anyway, so we won't have to ponder very long. We have done a couple of cruises on Majestic this summer and have another booked for November. They have been OK, but not a match with their smaller classes of ship. I for one am glad there will be a choice of ships instead of 2 x cookie cutter sisters.
  17. They launched Angelos and Dragon Lady when Eden & Aria arrived all those years ago. When added to Waterfront, it all seemed very familiar when we were on Explorer last year. The menus had changed very little, and I suspect you will notice the same for Adventure. Reviews can be fickle. You know what to expect on a P&O ship, so I am interested if P&O meets your expectations in 2023.
  18. Are you going to take a cruise for your ******eth birthday? Holland America is looming large 😂
  19. No drydock for Crown Chez, They can swap one of the Euro sockets for an Aussie one in transit across the Pacific. I believe the ship was in drydock during October 2022. Crown Princess arrives in Sydney from her Transpacific on 26th October, as by the Sydney Ports bible. Then a 28-day interval suggests a lap of Australia, which often follows a transpacific. Just doing the lap in reverse makes the dates look a bit different - includes: 30th October - Melbourne 1st November - Adelaide 6th November - Fremantle 14th November - Darwin 18th November - Cairns 21st November - Brisbane And yes, it will be Crown & Royal ex-Sydney, and uncertain bits of Diamond and Grand from Brisbane & Melbourne, with no Coral.
  20. We have had a couple of bumpy crossings, and they were awesome.
  21. I have broken rule 1 several times, and we have had some of our best holidays doing so.
  22. Cunard is known for mixing things up a bit. They could well return to Melbourne the following season. With adequate facilities in Brisbane now, they could even contemplate a mini season of cruises out to the islands from there too.
  23. If I was to book a cruise in Europe or the US, I would read the relevant facts for the country(s) and cruise line. Horses for courses and the info is out there.
