  1. It was referenced on the related topic of the time. A pity it didn't have something more descriptive, as it is easily tangled with booking & shareholder OBC's.
  2. For the Australian office, it isn't much more than a sales office at present. If you have paid $AU65 each for the plus packages X the total number of nights, it should be simple fix via their booking bunnies. I guess you can blame a somewhat automated system, but suspect the US booking is looking for a $US50 payment for plus and would have come up short. I am unable to offer a management email. Try the Princess forum. Unless you can find a class action for this, the legal path could be long-winded and expensive, with much more at stake than a few hundred dollars of plus package. If you can't find resolution soon, my tip would be to get a refund on the package you have purchased, then book the identical packages on the ship on embarkation day then on turnaround day for the 2nd leg.
  3. Sorry, I didn't know you were aboard. For Coral it was domestic though, so much less clearance required than a cruise arriving from a foreign port. We had a leisurely breakfast and disembark and were comfortably at Central for an 8:15 train home. It was a good day. On a good day an 11:45 flight is a breeze - but not all days are good days. Re EZ Air, we have used from time to time. We like that payment isn't upfront, but am not a fan of having to wait to select seats. On any given day, fares are usually much of a muchness with booking direct. It is nice to have the assurance, but there was a time when it wouldn't allow us to choose an same day AM flight home.
  4. If you had one of the older packages, it showed automatically. Any that had standard and booked after Dec 2022 did not receive the OBC automatically. Some scored it by negotiation, others haven't. We also had Princess prizes in our premier package last week, and it showed on our folio as part of the package - but no, got fobbed off with lame excuses, playing dumb, and a promise that a senior service staff member would contact us - they didn't. Prizes has disappeared from the Australian version of the premier package since we booked that cruise, but they were not going to activate it for us, nor were they going to credit the value of it to our account.
  5. It isn't an error of the app. It is just how it is with B2B cruises. If you have separate booking numbers, you may be able to logout of the 1st cruise and log in with the name/DOB/booking number for the 2nd cruise - can't be sure, but worth a try. Ring Princess. It is something they should be able to resolve over the phone or via web chat, and it is nothing that can be resolved by the app.
  6. Love the spoiled view. The first time we stayed at the Rocks Rydges, back when it was the Old Sydney Holiday Inn, the same complaint was levelled at the hotel. Some booked for the wonderful view of the Opera House from the rooftop pool, but there was a different ship spoiling their view every day.
  7. The gifted cruises were only for local cruises this season, and as far as I recall involved one plane load plus a bunch of school teachers. Those that have taken up the offer would have / will be able to complete their cruise.
  8. As far as I can recall reading, it has been only given to those who successfully argued their case at Customer Services.
  9. For those having given-up their 24/25 Oz cruises, and wearing any out of pocket expenses, ain't it nice to know that the replacement cruises from San Juan are being given away already. From VV socials early this morning: Imagine hearing this on your flight: *ding-dong* "Good afternoon Delta flight DL1946 with service from Atlanta to San Juan. In addition to today's in-flight entertainment, you're also being gifted a cruise by Virgin Voyages."
  10. I treat the stringy cheese like spaghetti, and do a spoon + fork twirl.
  11. Nice & gooey on Coral. Tips are still required, but on how to get just a spoonful without having the rest of the crust hanging from the spoon.
  12. All over, all too soon. Currently, no cruising for us until Feb next year, so we will have to keenly follow everyone else's cruising tales. Interesting cruise. For suites, Royal class ships are far more inclusive. Being a short cruise, we only received elite mini bar without a double-up for the suite. That fits the fine print on their site, but Majestic has still been giving the suite mini bar, as well as concierge and evening drinks. We had fun, but something was absent. I don't know if we are taking Coral Princess for granted, or they are taking us for granted. Can't quite put my finger on it. Dining staff are wonderful, but seem to be stretched. Sabatini's took us nearly 3hrs, with 80 minutes from being seated till 1st main. Our steward looked after the room well, but they don't do overs any more.
  13. Yes, dock. Same LOA and width as Encounter & Adventure who have been docking in Cairns.
  14. We have never had to wait to enter our cabin on Princess. Not always 100% ready, but have always been able to drop our carry-ons straight after boarding.
  15. Tempted to drop our luggage home, but we just have one bag and we will get that home tomorrow - all too soon.
  16. A day in Newcastle. The free shuttle now drops at Newcastle Museum, not Queens Wharf as it was previously. From the museum, it is a short walk to Civic light rail stop, with Queens Wharf & beaches in one direction, Rail interchange & West End Marketown in the other. Newcastle museum - no charge Fort Scratchley - no charge Walk along the Foreshore - no charge Ferry from Queens Wharf to Stockton - a few bucks on our Opal cards, but also just transfer fares when connected to light rail A couple of large coffees as good as any in Melbourne - $5 each A nice day in our home port.
  17. After all these years, a first. For whatever reason we had not made it into Sabatini's until last night. Quite nice, lots of food. We are more Steakhouse oriented, so back to Bayou for the last supper tonight.
  18. On a good day, check-in and boarding will start at 11 to 11 30. Priority for elite/suite/premier package will speed this up, but the previous cruise has to fully disembark first. There can be delays there that will cause a delayed embarkation, so take note of Princess communications and terminal staff announcements. You can take your bags directly to cabin.
  19. The joy of a cruise with inclusions. If it isn't user pays, it is everybody pays - whether you want it or not. On that though, the champers isn't free, as everyone has paid for it in their fare. Those who don't drink are subsidising those consuming 5 glasses.
  20. I would agree. In committing to a 3 week drydock, they have plans for at least the scheduled itineraries. We would be happy if you no longer want her in the US doing Panama & Alaska. Princess can send Coral back any time they like. For us, Coral is an easy choice vs NCL in Australia. Local currency wins vs $US, but that is different when Coral returns to $US late this year. We are enjoying Coral at present. For us, she is a comfortable ship with way too much good food and drink.
  21. Yep. Although Barb prefers the plus Rose to the Italian Rosetta we had with dinner. I can't say I was a fan of it either.
  22. What is your preference for spirits? I am happy to drink old fashioned's from bourbon or southo, then switch to Belvedere 007 dirty martinis for pre-dinner and Milky Way or espresso martinis for afters.
