  1. If you still have the old app installed, you can accept it there and it translates to the new app
  2. You need the XE app on your phone to do your conversions. No additional tip?? 😉
  3. That is largely correct. Sold out isn't a term used, but unavailable because that sector is over-subscribed compared to the other sectors of the voyage. Priority will always go to full world bookings, then a matched release of the usual long sectors. The bits and pieces itineraries only become available to balance numbers between longer bookings. In this case, it would be to fill a gap between those disembarking in Auckland and those boarding in Sydney. In times gone by, these short itineraries were never listed and only became available, via word of mouth, after the final payment date.
  4. I was just in browsing for this cruise and being logged-in, it showed me the available offers. It also shows in 'My Offers"
  5. Good luck. Your agent may be holding an allocation of cabins.
  6. It is a coach transfer that is for a group, but anyone with the transfer is allocated a specific disembark group. We had a Princess transfer from cruise terminal to Brisbane airport this time last year. We weren't rushed, as we had a later flight. In our case, everyone was on the coach and we left at the nominated time. I am not currently at home but will check what disembark time was allocated when I get a chance. I am pretty sure I still have the disembark schedule.
  7. Note too that availability on this will be slim, and only filling a void for passengers leaving the previous cruise in Auckland instead of Sydney. It currently shows that only Princess Grill suite(s) guarantees as available.
  8. I would suggest looking for Queen Anne itineraries instead of Queen Mary 2. https://www.cunard.com/en-au/find-a-cruise/H506C/H506C
  9. I love the wording under the cruise name - 2 nights Southampton to Hamburg.
  10. I have been waiting months for them to shift. In that time the price has gone up around $10 per day. The price on the category we were looking at has gone back to last years price, and the OBC will pay for steakhouse, internet & drinks so it pretty much becomes an inclusive price. We decided to book this afternoon, so we have this one followed by Diamond Princess, split by a night in Brisbane. Maybe they will let us sleep on those park benches outside the terminal. For $1750, I have bit the bullet for an Ocean Suite, with views to the side & aft.
  11. Cruise ships travel on the wrong side of the water too, and it is a global thing. Keep to the right (starboard) of oncoming traffic. You may notice, ships normally keep to the right of Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour in either direction.
  12. Exactly. A working medallion delivers you cocktails that only cost $AU15. We have done a few on Celebrity and they are beautiful ships. When their pricing matches reality, I will be more than happy to ditch my medallion and return to Celebrity & Royal.
  13. You know those offers where you get up to $500 OBC, but you find out that when you choose your itinerary & cabin you are only going to get $100 or less? Current Carnival QV8 promo for past cruisers (valid VIFP number), there is a $500 OBC promo available till May 6th. I just looked at a 3 nighter for next Feb, and it showed $500 OBC per cabin. I checked as a chosen inside cabin - still $500 OBC. So, the deal I spot for 3 nights Luminosa on 6th Feb 2025 is for a midship inside cabin on deck 7. Room total = $968 and comes with $500 OBC. Even nicer - Deck 4 aft balcony = $1088 and comes with $500 OBC.
  14. Indeed. Add us to the current list. We used to love doing short cruises in Royal's suites. The high prices aboard have steered us away, and they have started jacking-up the suite prices in line with the drink and/or restaurant inclusions. Never say never, but they have lost us for now.
  15. Given enough time, I have to throw in Rottnest & Quokkas.
  16. Oh well. You won't have your black medallion until you have checked-in, so you might need your docs to get priority into the terminal.
  17. I don't log on each time either but have found that when it is buggy using my user/pass, that logging out and then logging in with booking number will bypass the glitch.
  18. I am glad they have locked the thread. I am concerned that nobody has addressed the topic of what to do when you are on a relocation cruise between a clockwise country and an anti country. Equator crossing day would be an absolute nightmare!!
  19. Yes, more of a yellow card. There will be others that will have received the same hiatus, and it is a much about winding down the topic as it is about any of the individual participants. I will have to take a look - it usually needs a formal night attire or a tipping topic to lead to a plank walking.
  20. Are you logged on with user/pass or via booking info of surname/DOB/Booking number?
  21. Dining room lunch is usually from noon till 1:30. You also have the buffet, International Cafe (24hrs), Horizon Court or Pizza/Hot Dogs/Burgers on the pool deck which are all available for lunch (no charge) till later in the afternoon. You can certainly aim to be aboard by 1pm.
  22. We chose to stay in Perth for a couple of days to take in the surrounds of the city. There is a free bus zone around much of the city and we found it cheap & easy to get around. We like the Duxton hotel, and it was easy enough to get a bus to Perth station for a train to Freo on cruise day. Next time we cruise out of Fremantle, we will likely spend time in Freo instead.
  23. Change trains, easiest at Perth. The airport train does head on the line toward Fremantle, but terminates at Clairmont.
