  1. I like your sense of humour.

To the ones who didn't catch it: There is a very low probability of getting struck by lightning. By saying 'more common things' the poster tells the OP that weather affecting a cruise ship has a very, very, very low probability.

    Not snarky at all, IMNSHO.

Well....at least someone on here doesn't wake up looking to be offended. :champagne-toast:

  2. This has nothing to do with being 'fair', fair means the transaction is for the correct amount where neither side is cheated. You are wanting them to eat a mistake on someones part which no business has to do. If the shoe was on the other foot I bet your reaction would be different.

  3. 1. Credit card and pay it when I get home. I refuse to link a debit card in a situation that involves holds and the such and carrying that much cash for me is pointless since I have a card I can use.

    2. For me....no. I still find plenty of other cool stuff to do on the ship. It is full of things and I still think there are things left for me to do at this point. I may consider it later when I am looking for a new experience if we repeat on the Escape.

  4. To me that package has more worth than just comparing the potential price of drinks to the daily cost. Overall it provides a much better experience for us, it is nice being able to grab anything from a specialty coffee, a sports drink, a milk shake to an alcoholic drink at anytime without worrying about the budget.

There hasn't been a time yet when I don't think we came out ahead at the end plus I was able to relax more during the trip knowing the bill was paid. That peace of mind adds value for me.

  5. They refunded the correct amount. Instead of a a $300 credit under the Early Saver restrictions the insurance policy allowed you to recover 75% of the $500 deposit which is $375. The insurance policy is an added expense so it gone no matter what outside of the review period once they begin to assume risk.

  6. My mistake. Wasn't reading carefully enough. Makes me want to try out Cagney's.

If you are looking for a traditional steak dinner you won't be disappointed. It is not complimentary though, you can pay a la carte or it is part of the dining package.

O'Sheehans on the other hand is complimentary but as I said it is what most consider 'bar foods' other than some dinner specials they run.

  7. I am on board with not saying a thing if they don't have a policy in place to address situations where pregnancies are discovered last minute.

A woman who is also 6 weeks can hypothetically book today and simply be allowed to bring the letter with her but since the OP booked before the deadline and found out afterward she is denied boarding? That makes no sense.
