  1. Recently returned from a sailing on the Liberty of the Seas and we experienced a noticeable decline in the food quality in the MDR. The only stand out was the tiger shrimp and they weren't even tiger shrimp, just medium sized shrimp that weren't over cooked. The 'tenderloin' was as tough as an undercooked brisket and the lobster was like rubber. The other entrees were 'meh'. However, the soups were still up to par. The Windjammer was about the same as it ever was. Some good and not so good. This was our third cruise after the re-launch (the second time on the LOTS) and the food in the MDR has really gone down hill. In fact, this is the only cruise that I can remember where I didn't gain weight.
  2. Got off the LOTS on 9/4 and they had the standard insulated tumblers like this:
  3. The terms and conditions for the of use for My Vegas rewards are very specific and they usually can't be combined. Ask the CSR at Casino Royale. They'll let you know what can and can not be applied to a booking.
  4. CASH = A universal language spoken and understood by most peoples of the developed world.
  5. There's no way to predict the quality of beef in the MDR on any particular sailing, and there's no guarantee your experience will be similar to others. I've had really good and really bad. The only way to be certain of the quality in the MDR is to order it. But before you do, ask the server, they know if the beef is good or not based on feedback from the diners. If you don't like it, just order something else. Even though RCL tries to achieve consistency across the line, they deal with different food vendors/suppliers and galley staff for each ship. Jamie's Italian has several dishes that don't have any cheese.
  6. I'm 100% sure you could count on reliable information from the tipped staff. That is, if you asked them if they would like more tips.
  7. Highly unlikely their cutting pay. The cruise lines are having trouble getting enough crew/staff right now. In theory, an increase in gratuities will (potentially) increase the amount they are going to be paid in addition their base salary.
  8. A confidential, reliable, anonymous news source revealed that the lack of crab in the RCCL 'crab cakes' was inadvertent. They discovered that the person responsible for writing the menu description was dyslexic. They were actually supposed to be Carb Cakes.
  9. Way back in the day, RCCL used to serve Sushi for free in the early afternoon. I haven't tried it onboard since. I will say this, I hope the quality improved considerably when they started charging for it.
  10. YOW! At that price, I would expect to be hand fed by a vestal virgin while lying in a supine position on a golden gilded chaise lounge. Grapes would be optional.
  11. Caveat of CC; You can introduce humor into the conversation, but you can't understand it for them.
  12. Considering that Royal Caribbean has an active fleet of 26 ships, there's no definitive answer to your question.
  13. Please just don't show up dressed like this. I've actually seen an attempt. For reals!
  14. Since you admitted it was your fault, the casino has little incentive to investigate it further. This irony of this situation is the definition gambling. The money was lost, but you got you bag back. You win some and you lose some.
  15. And just like that, the the price for the DBP on a sailing two weeks from today increased from $62.99 up to $71.99.
  16. Your choices are on boarding day for lunch are probably going to be limited to the Windjammer, Cafe Promenade and Sorento's Pizza, depending on your boarding time.
  17. I guess you missed the part of the RCCL recipe I posted (it's a joke) where it uses the same amount of crab to make144 crab cakes, instead if 12.
  18. Thank you, I was actually kidding, but for cripes sake, I though I was OCD!
  19. Whenever you purchase a DBP, they usually send an email confirmation. If you can look back through your emails from RCCL, you'll be able to see the price you paid.
  20. Could you give us the Cliffs Notes version? I'm spending my time trying to figure out how my wife is going to get all the clothes in her closet in one suitcase.
  21. RCCL crab cakes: 1- 1/2 lbs. of crab meat (this includes the lumps from the back fin area and claws) to make 12 dozen crab cakes.
