  1. - Pinnacle don't even get that! Pinnacle (Not in a suite) get one service a day. M
  2. Suite guests yes but others no unless you purchase an all access tour. It was a great perk for upper end D+ ( over 350 points) and Pinnacle passengers for years, but that benefit is gone. At this point, I suspect there are simply too many to accommodate all P's or D+(over 350) for bridge or galley tours. At the return to sailing, covid was given as the reason for no tours. But since the tours are available for those who pay, there is no other excuse, and it is obvious it is a benefit cut. We certainly enjoyed it while it lasted. M
  3. Minors get smoothies ( on certain ships), specialty coffee, soda, bottled water, fresh squeezed juice. No alcohol. M.
  4. No one is taking advantage the system. No one is doing anything wrong. They are following the rules. Maybe the system is the problem. M
  5. The check in time for the second cruise does not matter. Like you and others have stated, we also select a late time to free up the early slots for folks coming on. You will get a letter with instructions. If you have any questions, see guest services. We are B2B in May as well. What ship/dates? Have fun M
  6. I don't believe Oasis class ship have public showers in the gym/spa. Most other ship classes do and for those ships the gym/spa showering is a great idea. M
  7. Yes - and on some ships or on some sea days they serve a brunch rather than both breakfast and lunch. There are both breakfast and lunch types of food choices on the menu.
  8. You mention young children. Seems Alaska might be more interesting for your children. (Ages?) Lots of fun excursions. European cruises have lots of sightseeing tours which might not fit your children at this time. Whatever you select, have fun. M
  9. There are very few underage Pinnacles. In fact, most of them are highlighted here, on other social media sites and even on Royal Caribbean sites as it is quite rare. All that I am aware of have cruised to earn the 700 pointed needed. I would be interested to learn more about the person you know. M
  10. Many use the match to get their current casual boyfriend/girlfriend matching status. That was not the intent. Originally the match was only for spouse. Royal added partner or significant other as at that time there were single gender couples who could not get married. It was an effort to make the match equal for all couples. Now everyone uses the match to get their current date the matching status. Rarely is the status revoked and now the old boyfriend who took one cruise is Diamond and retains that. Then he brings his new girlfriend on a cruise, and she is matched as D as well. You can easily see how the program has gotten out of control. M
  11. A few cruises ago we watched a commotion in the solarium after the pool attendant removed towels from a chair with no occupants for about an hour. Ship was using post it notes to measure time away from the chair. Two new passengers sat in the now empty chairs. Another hour later the original occupants returned to find "their chairs" occupied. So much commotion occurred that security was called. The new occupants simply sat on empty chairs and were verbally accosted by the original occupants. Not a good situation. M
  12. $283 for my cruise last week. And sadly, for all those who bought the day at nearly $600 a couple, it was on and off rain all day. Many excursions were cancelled, but not the coco beach club. Folks we spoke with went in the rain just for lunch and then returned to the ship. An expensive lunch at that! m
  13. We received a Royal up on a full ship in December (Christmas week) . It was obviously a last minute cancellation as all the paperwork for the intended occupant was in the cabin and every time we gave our cabin number in the dining room, they addressed us by the name of the intended occupant. M
  14. From the looks of those folded towels just holding chairs, it seems it is not working. Towels were out at 6:30AM last week on Wonder. The sun was not even up yet. M
  15. I should have been more specific as I was wondering if there was any change during the dry dock. thank you both for your replies. m
  16. It helps if you are a little flexible with the restaurant schedule and time. We had a list of what we wanted and then had to switch around a restaurant once or twice had a reservation 30 minutes off our preferred time.
  17. Anyone have any inside info if Jamie’s restaurant is still onboard or if it was changed to a Giovanni’s/Giovanni’s Table Thanks.
  18. Self led service posted most every week. Generally not on short weekend cruises. Royal provides wine, challah, yarmulkes, battery lights for candles and a few pages copied from a reform prayer book. It is usually held in a portion of the windjammer. photo is from March Wonder cruise m
  19. As of last month, Royal was providing Manishevitz (sp?) wine. Since the return to sailing they have changed from 1 or 2 large challahs to multiple small ones. m
  20. We are on wonder. Last night was “dress your best night“ I saw lots of formal dress, as well as lots of people in shorts. Even saw some folks taking pictures where one is in shorts and a T-shirt, and the other one is in a gown. Looks a little mismatched, but if they’re happy it works for me. Every clothing mismatched couple was a beautifully dressed woman with a casually dressed man, never the other way around I am old-school, and even my casual outfits are smart casual, or even dressier. I understand times have changed but I wear what makes me happy and others do the same.
  21. Most people who have to cancel last minute have a sad story. That is what insurance is for. A person who does not buy insurance is in effect self insuring. The money that they have saved by not buying insurance could be put aside to pay for a last-minute cancellation. I would have loved not to pay insurance for all the cruises I took in the last 30 years. But like, my health, my house, etc,. I buy cruise insurance for the unexpected. m
  22. Breakfast is available in the dining room every day, not just sea days. Some ships are moving to a sea day brunch, others are not. m
  23. Generally, most ships are following the one entree rule. It may vary slightly from wait staff to wait staff. Be prepared for just one enter at a time. M
  24. I haven’t seen anything like that, but it seems like a wonderful idea for passengers who cannot too strenuous exercise m
